Also, they probably patched it by now, but when I did NG+ you could set off the tripwire traps with the bow (which you wouldn't have yet in NG) and the arrow would stay suspended in mid-air, fully retrievable everytime.

Maybe it's my inclination to stealth whenever I can in a game (which more or less aolves the low resources issue), but I only played Survivor and I didn't find it all that terribly hard, or at least not the "not fun" levels of hard that many claim. Don't get me wrong, I probably didn't first try a single major encounter, but they're so generous with checkpoints in this game that it really doesn't matter how bad I was.

(I also played TLOU1 on Survivor right before this, so that might have helped.)

I haven't actually played it (or anything) with VR, but it's not like it's Half-Life: Alyx where you're actually doing anything special with the VR set that you couldn't be doing with a controller or mouse & keyboard.

Even more specifically, it really seems like they thought the island in its entirety was what everyone liked best about RE4, when it was really only specific parts of it that stood out (like Krauser and Regenerators).

The best thing you can say about this game is that Capcom eventually learned their lesson from it.

They wildly misinterpreted what people liked about RE4, so they dialed some of those aspects up in 5. Rather than actually take the pulse of what worked and what didn't in 5, they just saw their successful sales numbers and thought they could just make a bigger and bigger spectacle out of the series and their sales numbers would just keep proportionately skyrocketing. RE7 is by no means a perfect game, but it's such a huge course correction that I didn't think would have ever happened at the time, and certainly not after Umbrella Corps.

I don't think they held off because of fans being too smart. Vince Gilligan is not D&D. I think it was just to make it clear who intervened at the end of S2 if you decipher it, but I'm pretty sure they film the whole season before releasing the episode titles.

I haven't read through this whole topic, but I saw people complaining about not including all the state quarters. It honestly bothered me a lot more that they didn't even attempt to get the years right on them. They released 5 state quarters a year in the order that states joined the union, but they almost all seemed to be 2002 whenever I checked.

Playing as Sherry solo was definitely a mistake. Probably moreso than playing the "secondary" protagonist in any of the other campaigns even.

In case you don't actually know anything about this game, I'd say play Jake first. The campaigns straight up spoil things about each other, but that's the one that even mildly matters in that regard.

Ada originally had to be last. Best to stick to that.

Im not giving him any credit for this, but his laziness stumbled into the ideal choice as far as Im concerned.

You literally just tell them you're aware of it and have evidence of it (because we clearly did), and they instantly shut it down because they were only doing it because they thought there would be literally zero repercussions on the world stage.

Of course that assumes a total lack of acquiescence to Russia on Trump's part, which we know isn't the case for one reason or another, but this should be a basic ass diplomatic solution that we would probably never even hear about.

I didn't hear anyone complaining about the writing or the show when DnD were making the first six seasons. It's on Martin for not finishing the books up.

I stopped watching after the fifth season was as bad as it was and it was still well within book material.

Yeah, they're basically blind like Daredevil is blind, in that they basically still "see" just fine. They're just too dumb to tell that a relatively silent obstacle in front of them is human unless it either gets close or they do their full "click" to get a clearer visual. (Which is really nice that they added that as a mechanic since the first game basically claims that's why they click but it didn't really work that way.)

Abby definitely already knows he did it to break out "the immune girl". Obviously she can figure he wouldn't have done that for literally no reason, at the very least. She also tells her dad that if it was her she'd still want him to do the surgery in response to overhearing him and Marlene. I'm not saying it's perfect (because it isn't and I agree with a lot of what you said otherwise), but that angle is definitely covered.

First off, technically a spoiler. Meh though.

More importantly, that's clearly a case of a major character death being built into the story from conception. I don't think the major death in this game is something that's completely out of place, but it's not at all the same thing.

Lmao, they clearly didn't thoroughly test all the weapons in NG+. If you shoot the trip wires with arrows, they'll just stop in the air where they hit them and be retrievable every time.
