Honestly I don't really remember what happened. I don't remember feeling strongly one way or the other. So I guess it gets a 2.

3-4 and by extension 3-5 are the only genuinely frightening cases in the series. Not like in a horror way or anything, but it feels like there are genuine stakes in these cases and that people are actually in danger.

but yeah, I don't go to the gym anymore. I'm lucky enough to live in an area where trails are ten-fifteen minutes away. I just find a trail and do the one punch man workout.

First, MGSV is absolutely a better overall package than FFXV. I know it's pointless and derailing for me to argue my points though, so I won't.

Secondly, FFXV does not have a good ending, unless you're limiting your definition of "ending" to mean everything after the final boss (which is, admittedly, quite affecting and good). Everything after Altissia is awful. The time skip is a huge waste of potential. It's like if after the floating continent in 6 you're immediately thrown into Kefka's Tower.

Thirdly, Ardyn sucks. You have to really try to figure out what his whole deal is, otherwise he's just "obviously evil charismatic dude." That's the basic problem with the story in general is that it's simply not told to you in the game's main narrative.

I will confess I haven't played any of the DLC for this game - I'm basing it purely on my first playthrough. I know they supposedly "fixed" a lot of stuff but unless they made everything from Altissia to the final dungeon less basic and more explorable, I don't think they addressed the core issue.

I had to get put on a two-week waiting list when I signed up for Amazon/Wholefoods delivery, but it seems to be the most reliable in terms of getting the stuff you actually order. I tried instacart once with a Publix and a lot of my stuff was wrong - not even "replaced," just wrong.

OST is pretty good - Some of Shimomura's best work and all around better than the original stuff she composed for KH3.

But yeah, not a good game for the reasons foolmo describes. It and MGSV are cut from the same cloth in that they have the foundation set for all-time greatness but lack the last third of the game (or in FFXV's case the last half really) (and the introduction, which got turned into a movie instead).

My first dragon-con I was 17, and it wasn't as huge as it is now. Basically me and my friends (altogether 2 guys and 2 girls) stumbled from hotel room to hotel room drinking sketchy cocktails from neckbeards. People who run parties essentially are Girls Gone Wilding all over the place: asking girls to flash/kiss them for drinks. Widespread use of ecstasy, acid, molly, coke, weed. Of course we loved it at the time, but we were idiots: we were lucky. There are lots of stories out there of roofied drinks and certain parties to "avoid."

But thinking back it was super messed up that there were literally 16 year olds getting hit on by 30 year olds in that kind of environment. I mean there are literally lolita parties at some of these cons (maybe not Dragon Con, but Anime Atlanta had one for sure). Some of the worst things i personally witnessed were dudes taking pics with passed out girls while touching them, dudes flashing people, and multiple fights.

The girls I was with that night and those I talked to in following years (I haven't gone in five years or more, and I pretty much quit going to parties a few years before that) have told me specific instances of grooming/sexual aggression from pseudo-famous people at these parties, but I'm not going to share them as they're not my stories.

For many who go to cons/vg tourneys, "getting laid" is as much a part of the experience as anything else. Take people who have been social outcasts their whole lives who suddenly achieve a small level of "fame," add young people and alcohol, and you have the recipe for assault.

honestly I think this is more a part of "con-culture" (i.e. conventions) than it is strictly related to the smash community.

anime cons, comic-cons, vg cons are all breeding grounds for predators. you take a traditionally marginalized subgroup of people - many of whom with difficulties in "normal social life," and give them a weekend of free reign where they're guaranteed to be around people with similar interests and it's a recipe for disaster.

I've hung out with a lot of "nerds" in my life - gaming, comics, anime, even creative writers - and the second con-season comes around a switch gets flipped and they become uber aggressive and sexual. the stories I could tell about dragon con parties I went to in my teens.

not defending these people in any way, but trying to argue that there's something poisonous in the smash community is not quite right. It's a larger issue in geek fandom to be honest.

In fact, I'd say that the plot overall really sucks. On paper it sounds good but it's executed worse than any other mainline Final Fantasy game.

The bros were good, but everything after you leave the main continent feels rushed and half finished.

That being said I did really enjoy the game when it was on said first continent and I hope 7 remake part II apes it somewhat.

my comments in this topic are basically just me theorizing about why so many people are infuriated by the spoilers. I've tried to avoid making judgments about the game's quality in favor of just talking generally about story crafting and gameplay. I still plan on buying the game and playing it someday (relatively) soon.

I agree- I don't want SC or Tales to get a rep. I hate to sound like a typical smash fan but there actually are too many sword fighters in the game. If Bandai Namco gets another rep, gimme Mr. Driller (tone sincere)

for me, every thing works in 3-2 and none of the characters are annoying, even though they should be. Like, I should totally find Ron and Luke Atmey stupid and annoying, but for some reason they're not. also it's an example of how to bring back old fan-servicey type characters in interesting ways (Larry and Adrian). All while introducing players to the new (excellent) prosecutor.

yeah, even if the localization team had been working on CS4 nonstop since the release of CS3, it's still super impressive.

now the localization might end up being really bad, in which case we can lob insults then. but in the meantime I'll hope for a product roughly the same quality as CS3
