So the other day I went to a friend's house and we dusted off our old, old Magic cards and played a few games. In four straight games, one of us either got mana screwed or mana flooded, and the other person just won. But hey, that's a skill-based game, amirite?

QB: My back-up (Wentz) played better, but 15 points from Cam's okay for now.
RB: Fournette was good. Riddick was okay. Perkins and Duke Johnson were pretty bad.
WR: absolute dumpster fire this week, considering the quality I have at the position.
TE: Reed was disappointing. Meanwhile Witten would have added 9 points.
Other: My kicker got injured? Bleh. Whatever. DST brought in 22. IDPs were mediocre at best.

There might not be enough people playing one side or the other. At some times of the day, if you climb the ladder, you have no unique opponents and have to play the same opponent until one of you loses a third time.

Malygos in Big Priest...I mean, yeah, making dragonfire 10 can wipe out all but the craziest of jade boards, but do you find yourself struggling for the last few points of damage very often that a jumbo smite does the trick? Or do you just like healing to full with soul link in a game that you've probably already won?

If anything goes wrong that goes beyond sending it to the company under warranty, desktop is superior. If you want to upgrade a laptop, forget about it. Many laptops are also far more limited on how many peripherals you can plug into them -- mine has no disc drive, 1 USB port, and not much else.

Basically, the question is more like why do you want a laptop? If it's portability, then I'm going to ask what do you do on the road that your old laptop can't handle? If it's...actually, I can't think of another reason to want a laptop, unless the space where you would put the desktop is not always a convenient place to be.

Mostly everyone, since it's a cathode ray tube. It's just another way of saying a "not-flatscreen" TV.

Some of them were famous before they were 18+, though. If you google Knight, you see a lot of pictures from when she was younger. Even when Angie Verona was challenging, who is now 24 and is not a child actress, her main claim to fame was that she had huge boobs at an early age and was upset that pictures she had taken for her boyfriend were being plastered all over the internet when she was 14. A couple people pushed back against her, even though in none of the pics used did she look 14. (Then again, she didn't look 14 when she was 14, either.)

Funny, because the reason he gave for this is exactly the reason why i gave a friend on bnet why I didn't know the name of DK Anduin. He referred to it as "Shadowreaper", and I asked him what card that was. He laughed at me, but I fought back that I don't read the name. I just know it as "DK Anduin". Most of the cards I know the name, but I've literally never paid any attention to the death knights. What's the use when they're just the old heroes we know with some random suffix? When he pushed me further and said the name was the most important part of the card because it tells you what it is, I countered that the art does that just fine, and the most important part is the stats and the text. But those, too, are things I have memorized and tied to the art.

The only thing I will say in support of Brode looking silly is that anyone who has that much of a recognition of all the cards generally keeps track of card changes.

Not exactly a big deal with Stonehill Defender. Shadow Visions and Primordial Glyph, yes, to an extent, because those are easy to replay and often thrive on decks that get side benefits from each time they're played. Stonehill Defender though? Meh, go ahead, go infinite. See where it gets you.

I do love how I have the supposed toughest opponent, and so it'll all come down to how our points go down.

It will be ironic if I lose to Swiss Cross is Gud, considering I was the one who mentioned that in chat after drafting a bunch of players whose draft stock was impaired by them being hurt. I have six players that are questionable, and others that have played minimally in the preseason.

At least there aren't any Thursday night games. We can take until Saturday to see how things pan out.

I look forward to seeing what changes are in store for druid. I hope they include fixing naga sea witch so giants don't cost zero just because they're discounted from 5. Nothing's worse right now than watching a druid go sea witch => ultimate infestation => giant x4, while having taunts leftover from the last time they played spreading plague.

Basically, if you don't have a hard removal board clear right now, you're dead. Druid has too much cycle and too much stall to not make this outcome an eventuality. I'm really not sure how you stop it, outside of twisting nether, frost nova-doomsayer, or an equality clear. Maybe DK Anduin or brawl. But hunter, rogue, and shaman are completely screwed.
