It said I was in the top 10% for killing pigeons, having killed a total of like 40. Either they aren't tracking that very well or there are a ton of people who never kill Timmy's pigeons...despite it being a meme in the community. I'm assuming the former, because it also said I had never killed the boar king and that my Liyue rep was only level 8. (I have an achievement and a glider that prove otherwise.)

Reaction to BG leaks:
* Shudderwock was really only a big deal if you were forcing triples with tokens. I didn't feel like it was that oppressive.
* Leapfrogger's effect is cut in half, which is obviously huge. Attacking a symptom and not the disease, as this can still grow out of control, but it'll be a lot harder. Would have been better imo to just not have it keep copying the buff. Leapfrogger itself was fine, but it was the doubling with macaws and baron that made it untenable.
* Doomsayer to 4 and is avenge 4. They really wanted this thing buried. Maybe that was needed, idk. Kathra'natir to 3 to take its place, which means Wrath Weaver builds are going to take less damage early.
* I dunno Galewing really needed a nerf. I literally never had a good game with the stupid bird. An extra ~8 gold over 5 turns is a reasonable economy boost imo. Free to 4 and free to 6 is still better than Omu, but the breakpoints aren't as effective.
* Variety of stat changes -- Prophet of the Boar and Roadboar kinda needed the boost. The others are kinda whatever. Surprised they targeted Peggy for a buff.
* Southsea Captain better inclusion than Defiant Shipwright, which isn't even a pirate.
* Rattler to 5 was necessary. Honestly, I think that minion is too good in a tribe that has deathrattle synergy, notwithstanding putting it on an amalgadon that gets fresh poison mid-battle, but maybe on 5 decreases the chances of it wrecking shit.
* RIP whelp smuggler. Only giving 1 health is pretty worthless unless they allow some of the other shenanigans from the original days of this patch to return.

I keep saying someone needs to do a weapon guide where they rate characters on the weapon instead of the other way around.

Hamayumi is not, to my knowledge, the preferred option for any character, but it's a decent alternative in many cases. I'm currently using it on Ganyu.

Kokomi is a pretty nothing character for me. I don't get into anime tropes, so I find her vocal style (in English) obnoxious, and she has these weepy down-turned eyes that are a big put-off. So even if I were a waifu hunter rather than interested in characters for effectiveness, I'd still need convincing.

In other news, I've been off my Welkin's blessing for almost a week now and I skipped the battle pass last cycle. Is this a sign I'm going true F2P?

There probably isn't a 4-star combination that would convince me to pull on the banner unless it included Sayu, which obviously it won't.

There's two sides to this coin.
1) It needs to be slow because it's the roadblock to you "completing" your account and getting bored and leaving.
2) It's still way too extreme.

I've been on record saying that all they need to do to fix artifacts to reflect both sides of the argument is remove flat defense. Nobody ever wants flat defense, the system is rigged in favor of it, and there's still plenty of garbage you don't want without it.

You might actually be in better hands than most people who get spooked by Qiqi. The Kokomi banner is in a week, and there's hints that some components of the game might be adapted to reflect what Kokomi does well -- which is heal. She heals too much, in fact, and there's no advantage to it. But if the game suddenly needed that healing...?

And guess what the problem with Qiqi is. She's the best healer in the game, to the detriment of being good at anything else. So guess who might suddenly be useful in a week.

"Hefty reputation boost"...without grinding all of them, I missed out on bounties for the first two weeks of Inazuma simply because the amount the quests offered was pretty paltry.

You should have serviceable main stats on your carry. Beyond that, only worry about artifacts if you find yourself getting stonewalled by content. You should take the time from 40-45, especially, to focus on farming everything else -- like overworld bosses and weapon materials -- so that when you get to 45, you can focus exclusively on artifacts for a while.

This is speaking purely in terms of resin expenditure. If you still have game content, obviously squeeze that in as you see fit.

Without looking, my guess is that you probably just need to get out of Ritou, which isn't a lot. There's a whole quest arc before that involving getting to Inazuma in the first place by convincing Beidou to take you there. She's running a fighting tournament and wants you to participate.

My only problem with fishing, which isn't really a problem so much as my impatience, is that it takes days for the fish to respawn.

I just cleared the middle while exploring. Apparently I haven't done everything yet, though, because it's only at 80%. I had to hustle through the quests on Watatsumi today instead, though, in order to unlock Signora before the weekly reset. I got there, and I was very impressed with the drama involved in the cutscenes, but I wish I hadn't been forced to rush through it. I might have done them all in one day under other circumstances, but today I was doing them because I "had" to do them, and it gave them a different feeling.

I was AR32-ish when I finished all the content that was available in Liyue. That was before Dragonspine was available, and I also powered through it pretty hard. Someone taking their time, doing more dailies and resin activities, is probably going to be higher.

I'm strangely interested in hearing what the new player experience is like because I have to imagine it's a good bit different.

List of things I "need" to do in Genshin tomorrow, in this order:

1. Daily artifact pick-ups
2. Commissions
3. Finish the new quests to unlock La Signora fight
4. Fish
5. Farm talent books to max out (as best as I can) Raiden
6. Continue with farming for Sara as resin permits. (Spoilers: It won't.)
7. Check out the new event, which I haven't looked at at all

And if I'm motivated to continue, there's plenty of content left to explore. However, my hands have hurt the last few days from gripping the controller too much (partially because of another game) and I may have to quit early or attempt to play KB+M. But I'm thinking I'll start my day with an AM session, then go off and do other stuff, and maybe return later on. May stream.

Is anyone else feeling overwhelmed with how much there is to do in the game right now? It would have been different back during release when I had no problem playing the game for long hours daily until I used up all the content and had to rely on only resin and daily commissions, but I feel like my foot is on the back burner right now. I never did finish all the quests and exploration in 2.0 before we have a new patch here -- which was partially on purpose, granted. I really can't choose to do that in 2.1, though, given that there are bosses with character materials or weekly talent items that I can't just let slip through the cracks.

Plus the number of world events have me constantly trying to track everything that's been happening during these opening seven weeks while simultaneously poking around the world before everyone spoils all the quests for me and doing all my regular daily stuff that existed beforehand. Not to mention new characters and new artifacts means I want to put more time into a focus on farming, but I've barely touched my stockpile of fragile resins because I just haven't been motivated to continue for that long.

It's not that long hours of Genshin is bad. Many games demand more of your time. But we're suffering whiplash for the second time. And I'm not sure if going from too little to too much to do is better or worse than the other way around. It was a brutal transition the first time. It's rough this time around, too, and the pendulum will likely swing back the other way before long. And this is coming at a time when my other major game is asking for more time and I'm also trying to remember what it was like to play other games. To say nothing of RL demands.

You can *try* to Kaeya bridge there from Liyue, but I don't recommend it considering you'll probably get blasted by lightning when you're almost there.
