For what it's worth, I have seen some stories and videos on the war in the last 3 weeks. Not as much as there had been, ofc, but a non-zero amount like I suggested previously.

The fact that the last four posts in this topic have been bumps should tell us all we need to know about coverage of the war. As someone who doesn't go out of my way to seek out news, I haven't heard a peep on it in over a month.

It's okay, we'll get Arlecchino eventually. (Though at a rate of like one fatui harbinger per region, we may be a while before we meet all these stooges.)

Hey, they did fix that one Keqing bug...two years later. And it did basically nothing.

Between the buff's duration being non-existant and it being stupidly clumsy to activate at C0, her elemental skill legitimately is worthless. You can use her as burst support in a quick swap, ig.

Who would you use Sara with? There's limited reason to use her over Bennett unless you're in an electro team.

And her attack buff is garbage at C0. I got her on Raiden's original run, leveled her on day 1, and then have literally never used her. The mechanics of getting her crow feather buffs onto someone usefully has never appealed to me. Maybe if you're the kind of player who likes learning fancy rotations, but I am decidedly not. I'd love getting some constellations on her, but I'm not sure if I want to invest in these banners with Alhaitham, eventually Dehya, and a rumored Yelan rerun coming. Guess I can at least check what pity I'm at, though I think I did some four-star pulling, so I might be close to 70.

I spent all the wishes I saved up during Inazuma on C1 Hu Tao (+ Homa,) but if there's any other 5-star I would consider cons on, it would be Yelan. And I don't intend to pass on Alhaitham unless he's awful, so it looks like we're going to break the bank (of saved wishes) pretty soon. Kinda regret that I wasted a bunch on Cyno's banner in the name of getting a copy of Candace. Also grabbed pink-haired lady right before her banner ended, which were basically vanity pulls because I'm not thinking she fits into any teams that I run.

The mirror maidens are renowned for having more HP than Dvalin. That was a meme when they debuted.

The raccoon guys play hide and seek with you. You're just supposed to follow, and then when they turn into an object in the environment, you reveal them and get a reward.

I was referring to his E. Xiao charges ahead in mid-air by like 10 yards. With cons, can be done up to 3 times.

Pull for whoever you want then. The suggestions you might see in various places don't really matter unless you're bleeding edge, which doesn't sound at all to be the case. You can absolutely work with who you've got. I would be cautious of pulling for anyone unless you know you'll be able to get their ascension materials, too, as you don't want a repeat of Yae. (Though Yae has arguably the worst-placed boss mats for new players out of any characters. Enkanomiya is really cool, but it's a long build-up to get there and then finish it.)

Gorou is geo-only. Yanfei is a respectable 4-star DPS who can also have a unique support option if you have enough constellations to get her shield.

You can get by on level 80 characters. Don't rush. Might influence your spiral abyss runs, but otherwise not urgent. Let it happen over time.

Yae mats are deep into Inazuma. If you're just doing the early quest stuff, Yae's gonna be level 40 for a while.

That 45000 currency is kinda weird.

As for the companions, I agree with HDT that it's probably the load limit. Companions cap you out REALLY quickly.

Someone linked me here. I usually don't look at the multiworld stuff because it feels like a total pain to set-up but I play plenty of LTTPR. By synchronized, do you mean a standard multiworld or do you mean a race on the same seed? Because I'd totally join in on the latter, but I don't want to figure out all the bizhawk nonsense.

I have yet to invite any of the other characters for a duel. I probably need to get on that, but Diluc, Kaeya, and Fischl/Sucrose are getting it done just fine against the AI.

How's everyone liking the TCG?

I have a feeling she'll be for an advanced strategy where you stack the deck in favor of doing normal attacks and spam physical damage. I've already done that with the existing line-up, a weapon, and the food that reduces the cost of a normal attack by 1 colorless. So honestly, I'm kinda glad they waited on her.

Before Nahida released, everyone was using Dendro MC. It's not copium.

And yes, they changed four characters' visual designs due to restrictions in China. Chinese players are required to play with the new "skin." Everyone else has it as an option, but obviously they're what gets used in the cutscenes. (The others were Jean, Mona, and Amber.)

You had pretty bad luck on the 4-stars, too. In 5 ten-pulls you're guaranteed a minimum of 5 four-stars. However, after five of them, one would expect you to get one early. (Maybe you did, once, and pity rotated to a sooner position in the ten-pull.)

Good luck with Miko. I still haven't pulled her, and I'm questioning whether I should, but I wasn't able to play the last few days, so it wasn't fresh in my mind.

So since even more characters have come out has anything updated who the best team members for characters are? Im curious who Eulas best partners are now since I doubt Beidou makes the cut over Kuki now? Not even sure if Rosaria is still one of her best partners either.

Was Beidou ever one of Eula's best? Beidou doesn't get as much mileage out of Eula's slow claymore attacks and all Eula gets is a shield. Surely there are better electro options. I use Raiden, but I would assume Fischl would provide better application if you had no one else to work with.

My team is Raiden Diona Rosaria, but you could probably make a case for Kuki Layla ???. I doubt that's as good simply for energy, though. Raiden is great as a change up that refuels everyone else.

Xiangling has 18 billion different national variants and sees play in other teams as a support. Hu Tao basically has one team -- Hu Tao + Xingqiu + Flex. Considering that, I don't think she gets any more press than the cryo waifus. Though, TBF, neither pyro nor cryo is the haute du jour since they don't factor into the "dendro meta" very well. These days, you're far more likely to hear about electro and hydro characters.

I mean, I don't obey top meta picks, but I listen to it because that's where you get actual game advice.

And I don't love Kazuha, but I don't mind him, either. I picked him up on the second pass even though I don't run him super often. But he's a chill dude. By contrast, I actively dislike Scaramouche. I don't want to look at him. I don't want to hear him. He's just a short, angry anemo man, and we already have Xiao (who I also actively avoid.)

I think you have the wrong pyro polearm girl. I don't hear about Hu Tao any more than I do Ayaka or post-Ayaka Ganyu, and I presume it's actually less.

Am I the only one looking at Scara and thinking, "Man, I hope he's terrible because I really don't want this little shit and I also don't want to listen to everyone and their mom talking about him in team comps for the next three years" ?

Same. And currently, Wanderer doesn't excite me. Maybe I'll change my mind later, but I certainly don't like Scara as a character, so it would take some pretty considerable mechanics to change my mind. Being able to "fly" is not enough.

I have no problem giving Gilded Dreams to other characters. Besides, we were farming for the dendro set...weren't we?

I had C0 Thoma and no Heizou or Layla, so I was happy to continue past losing my 50/50 a bit. Stopped once I had gotten Layla, which was after two of the boys and Qiqi.

Anyway, how 'bout them new artifacts? Gonna need a set of the one for Kuki in hyperbloom, if nothing else.

I did 50 pulls. Got an early Qiqi and one of both Heizou and Layla. Now I get to evaluate if I want to keep pulling for Yae or bail in favor of what comes next.

Wanderer has barely even been announced, officially speaking.

This banner is really good for me. I haven't picked up Yae, who was originally my most-sought-after character during Inazuma until I found out she was pretty mid. Dendro makes her much more viable, and the 4-stars include a character I don't have, a character I barely have, and a new character. So none of the fours I pull will explicitly go to waste.

I just want to say that I respect and appreciate that you were able to finish that write-up and put it out there.

Beetles don't seem like her style. If anything, they probably give her the cactus flowers that Candace uses.

Or, y'know, mushrooms. Since everyone in Sumeru uses mushrooms.

If I understand correctly, and I might not...You want Nahida as the sole dendro, a hydro healer of some kind, and then you need to evaluate how much damage the blooms are dealing and possibly pick your last character to help out with keeping you alive. Thus, Xingqiu is a good possibility for fourth. If the defense isn't needed, Yelan works, too. The main issue the team has is that it kinda sucks against a strong single target, so you ought to keep that in mind when picking your flex.

You must include six main songs, and at least one alt song, with no cap. So having 5 alternate tracks is not completely dumb. More is questionable. But this also depends on how intent you are on getting a reset back to the top of the order.

What is the theoretical maximum number of alternate tracks a game moving through the loser's bracket would need to not repeat, sans ties?

"Wanderer" is a particularly curious inclusion. I think many of us were aware, whether we wanted to or not, that Scaramouche was coming. But this character has an anemo vision, which is rather curious.

I always grab the one by the crafting bench, at least.

Para's saving it for Halloween because it's Vampire Survivors.

Sara's ATK buff is so short and obnoxious to generate (at C0) that it may as well not even be there. You basically have to pick it up and use it for a skill immediately, and then it's gone. Which is fine for Raiden slashes, but useless for just about everything else unless it snapshots. I agree that most electro characters have been improved considerably by either aggravate or hyperbloom...but Sara's not one of them.

Other 4-stars from Inazuma have some options. Kuki, especially. Thoma is usually the go-to for Burgeon teams, although those aren't very good regardless. Still not much usage out of Sayu and Gorou is still quad-geo.

For Sucrose or Venti, just use them at level 1 until you can get something better. Don't invest. Just keep them for the set bonus. Yeah, you lose stats, but the primary reason to have them is support. Especially a TTDS Sucrose.

Also, yikes, what's the cap for crystal ore? I assumed it was 9999. Which, TBH, I probably could have hit if I kept farming and smithing since launch rather than not caring after a certain point.
