So if Reigns wins the Universal title, we're supposed to disregard the fact that he wouild still only be 1-3-1 against Brock?

Impact is so much better right now if Slammiversary tells us anything.

Bret Hart was awesome throughout most of the 90s. Obviously his WM13 match (and feud) with Austin is the GOAT (or at least very close), but other things I really enjoyed watching from him include...

- His SummerSlam match with Undertaker; not only was it a good match, but it also had two great stories in the making: Hart's ongoing feud with HBK, and the beginning to HBK vs. Undertaker.
- Of course his matches with HBK, whether it was the Iron Man match or the Montreal Screwjob
- In terms of matches, his two gems in WCW will always be his matches with Ric Flair and Chris Benoit (Mayhem excluded). Bret vs. Benoit at the arena Owen died in was probably WCW's last great match ever between main eventers; Bret even wanted to put Benoit over, but the staff insisted that Bret won.

Extreme Rules has passed, so it's only right to do a title history update!

WWE Championship - Out of 50 total superstars, AJ Styles sits in 14th place with 395 days. On Sunday, he'll pass Shawn Michaels for 13th, then next is CM Punk with 462 days as champ! Also, Styles only needs 26 more days to pass JBL's 280 reign to become the longest reigning world champion in SmackDown history!

Universal - Brock still #1 with 474 days and counting. Moving along...

IC - Dolph Ziggler just passed The Rock for 13th place (out of 80) with 342 total days. Next is Shelton Benjamin with 354!

US - Jeff Hardy's first reign ends at exactly 90 days, making him tied for 52nd with Alberto Del Rio. Shinsuke Nakamura becomes the 92nd US champ in history and is currently in 91st place with 5 days, just recently passing Raven's 24 hour reign. Next up is Edge, Jinder, and Tajiri in that order!

Raw Tag - Matt Hardy finishes in 20th place with 219 days, just passing Eddie Guerrero before Extreme Rules. Bray Wyatt finishes in 46th place with 79 days, just passing Dean Ambrose. Curtis Axel currently is in 40th place with 96 days and can pass Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in a week. Bo Dallas becomes the 80th Raw Tag champion in history and is in 77th place with 5 days! Next up is Batista's 14 days as champ!

SD Tag - Harper's in third (out of 13) with 124 days, Rowan in 4th with 101. Long way to go to reach The Usos' 329 days.

Raw Women's - Alexa adds to her lead, now with 368 total days across 3 reigns.

SD Women's - Carmella makes her way to 4th place with 101 days; next up is Alexa's 110 days as champ.

Cruiserweight - Cedric Alexander only needs 6 days to pass Enzo Amore for 2nd place (out of 8), as he has 103 days to Enzo's 108. Neville still holds the lead with 232 days.

Made Up Titles Us/The PWB Follow
WWE's The Man: Brock Lesnar
Raw Jobber Champion: Curt Hawkins
SD Jobber Champion: The Miz
Raw Women's Jobber Champion: Bayley
SD Women's Jobber Champion: Sonya Deville
Cruiserweight Jobber Champion: Vacant

Just discovered something while reading up on title lengths and such. Styles' current reign is at 248 days; if he hangs on to the belt for 33 more (basically by SummerSlam), he'll pass JBL for longest reigning world champion in SmackDown history. While Batista had a world title reign on SD that clocks in at 282 days, he was still on Raw for 2.5 months during said reign

To add more to Brock's lengthy reign, I now know the following...

- He's the longest reigning world champion in WWE in the last 3 decades, since Hogan's first reign in the 80s.
- In 10 days, he'll pass Hogan's first reign in WCW and will have held his title longer than any single world title reign in WCW
- Only 2 people have held the RoH world title longer than Brock's Universal reign: Nigel McGuinness and Samoa Joe (and Daniel Bryan, but Brock's passing him on Monday)
- In the last 3 years, only 2 people have held the NWA World title longer than Brock's Universal reign: Dan Severn and Blue Demon Jr.

6/11 - 5/10
6/18 - 6.1/10
6/25 - 4.5/10
7/2 - 3.5/10

SD usually scores better, with the sole exception being Battleground last year, which got a 1.9

While true, I'm just saying the average scores I see when reading reports on 411 is between 7.5 and 9 for NXT. SmackDown usually scores in the 6-7 range, and Raw's pretty much anywhere between 3 and 7.

What really impresses me most about Scott is his ability to transform. In wrestling, you evolve or die. And in a business where beloved workers might only last 5 or 6 years, Steiner has remained relatively relevant for 30+ years. That's amazing. Whether he was putting on clinics as a tag team technician or shouting from the rooftops as a world champion, Steiner has run the gamut as a worker, accruing so many accolades that it will make your headspin. And on top of that, he's just such a great character in and out of the ring, that I just had to throw him a bone and give him a Top 40 slot.

Just finally read this entry and it's fucking gold. Top 40 seems right for me too if I ever did a list. Scott Steiner was easily one of the best things in WCW's final year, if not the ABSOLUTE best thing. WCW put the world title on him for a solid 4 months, which was the longest world title reign in that company since Goldberg's undefeated streak in 1998, and a breath of fresh air after the company spent 2000 tossing the belt around like a game of hot potato.

While the matches themselves were ass and completely forgettable, Steiner was a guy who looked like a damn champion when he came to the ring and verbally thrashed his opponents (and the English language). In at least 2-3 interviews, Steiner stated that he always wanted to feud with The Rock in the WWF. Could you imagine that feud if both guys were given the opportunity to cut their own promos (cause let's be real here; Rock would have that freedom with Vince, Steiner never did)? I even did a dream scenario reverting back to the InVasion angle.

(For the record, I know this couldn't have happened regardless, cause Steiner was injured for a good chunk of 2001 and decided to just ride out his Time Warner Cable contract like Hogan, Nash, etc.)
- Steiner ends Nitro as the World/US champion after winning the US title from Booker T.
- Two months later, Big Poppa Pump reveals himself to be the man stalking Undertaker's wife. The two get put in a match at InVasion where Steiner wins with help from a random WCW star. Steiner rewards him with the US title (hell, it could be Kanyon since he was given the belt by Booker T in real time).
- Vince realizes the dangers of Steiner and convinces The Rock to come back and sign with WWF. Boom, feud ignited.

The rest is a tossup. Either Rock beats Steiner for the WCW title (very likely), or Steiner escapes a couple more times with the belt until losing it in a huge upset to Chris Jericho, allowing Jericho's stock to skyrocket and Steiner to have a nearly-year-long reign with the WCW World title.

And of course I play his promos almost on the regular...

He walked into wrestling and immediately got it. Never has there been a natural superstar like Kurt Angle in the business. Fuck Triple H. Kurt Angle was the REAL reason 2000 was a great year in WWF. Kurt was a superstar in TNA, he was a superstar in WWE, and quite frankly the wrestling business was done a service when he decided to step into the professional ring for the first time.

Fucking right. Kurt was one of my favorites during his initial WWE run from 99 to 2006. Favorite matches with him include his cage match with Benoit in 01, the Benoit match at the 03 Rumble, every 1-on-1 match with Lesnar in 03, HBK at WrestleMania 21, and his world title match with Taker at No Way Out 2006.

In fact, speaking of that last one, the buildup to Angle/Taker in 06 was great. No longer was Angle the cowardly heel we saw when he was facing Biker Taker in 2000; badass wrestling machine Angle realized he was about to step in the ring with the more invincible deadman/zombie Taker, and still uttered the following words...

"When that bell rings, I don't have a soul either."

WWE Championship - AJ Styles now has 369 days in two reigns combined, which out of 50 champions, puts him two days ahead of The Rock in 14th place. Next up is Shawn Michaels with 396!

US - Out of 91 champions, Jeff Hardy is in 59th place with 69 days. He'll pass Baron Corbin by the time SmackDown airs, and then it's Goldberg with 78!

Raw Tag - Out of 79 champions, Matt Hardy sits in 23rd with 198 days across 3 reigns. Next up is Cody Rhodes with 202. Bray Wyatt is in 60th place with 58 days and has just passed HBK and HHH. Next up is the six way tie for 54th, as The Good Brothers, Jeff Hardy, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, and Billy Kidman all have 63 days.

SD Tag - Out of 13 champions, Harper is in 3rd place with 98 days across two reigns. Next up is the Usos with a stacked 329 days each. Rowan is in 8th place 75 days. In 10 days, he'll pass the 4-way tie for 4th that includes American Alpha, Heath Slayer, and Rhyno.

Cruiserweight - At 77 days, Cedric Alexander is in 3rd place out of 8 champions. Next up is Enzo Amore with 108.

Raw Women's - Nia Jax's reign ended at 70 days, putting her in last place out of 5 champions. Alexa Bliss now adds on to her lead, which is now at 342 days, 90 more than 2nd place Charlotte Flair. Also the list of women with 5+ title reigns is now the following: Trish, Mickie, Melina, Charlotte, Bliss

SD Women's - Carmella's still in last place with 73 days (out of 6 champions), but will pass Becky Lynch in 12 days if she hangs on to the belt.

Useless fact that I noticed from looking at The Man lineage: Brock Lesnar will have the third longest reign as The Man after Friday. Where it stands now...

1) Batista - 303 days (December 2008 to October 2009)
2) Cena - 223 days (January 2013 to August 2013)
3) Reigns - 188 days (December 2015 to June 2016)
4) Lesnar - 184 days (November 2017 to present)

And for lols, the three shortest Man reigns!
1) Seth Rollins - 2 minutes (Money in the Bank 2016)
2) Daniel Bryan - Roughly 8 minutes (SummerSlam 2013)
3) Roman Reigns - Roughly 2 hours (Survivor Series 2015)

Saw that Rollins will defend the IC title against Jinder next week. While I think Rollins retains, I have to note one thing...

If Jinder does win the IC title next week, then in the span of one year, he'll have gone from not wrestling for any title to only being one belt away from achieving the grand slam. Considering they've been handing out grand slam spots like candy in the past year, this wouldn't be surprising at all.
