Then Weidman definitely drops out of the discussion, but you can't really consider "household name" completely without considering who draws, since just knowing somebody's name doesn't really mean much, whereas drawing power atleast suggests people are attaching that name to the sport and want to see them.

If going by just name, you start to get people like Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz getting up there, too.

Either way McGregor and Brock are probably above her regardless.

Glad his inring career ended the way it did.

I finally found what Corey said, and I'm not sure what makes him a dick with all of this. He's upset that a guy that was once one of his best friends no longer wants to even speak to him just because of his employer. Why is Graves the bad guy there? Is there something else that I'm missing? Regardless, being glad someone had to retire due to concussions a very MWC thing to do, just because you don't like something he did or said. Frankly, it's disgusting.

I have a similar situation in my life, my wife and I both work in the healthcare industry (me for one of the major insurers, my wife for a managed care company). A friend of mine for the last 20 years wants nothing to do with us now because he decided that healthcare companies need to die, and all of their employees are evil and should be out of work. It's a terrible situation to be in. I don't know how much truth there actually is to what Graves is saying, but given Punk's own words regarding all of this leaving wrestling behind stuff, the narrative seems to fit.

I wouldnt feel good about it at all. NXT guys are not always as hyped in a casual crowd. I think Nakamura and Finn are the exception not the rule.

I don't think having some upstart beat Brock is the way to make that guy a big deal. It's better to try and bring some more of your guys almost at that level up to Brock's level.

All 4 of those you guys you listed were all exactly what was said- the NXT effect. They didnt even trust Dillinger or Breeze with the NXT title, why would you think they had real potential otherwise? Dillinger sucks who happened to get 10 over. Breeze is actually really good but has a go nowhere gimmick, and Ascension are hitting their cieling as a comedy act.

- Fatal 4 way at SummerSlam
- Braun at No Mercy
- Braun and Kane at Royal Rumble

Unless he defended it at a few house shows, then no.

How often do the things WWE builds up actually end up doing much for the person who gets to go over them? Not very often! Even Brock breaking the streak arguably didn't matter in the long run because if he hadn't done it but still had that Cena squash, chances are it establishes him just the same.

I think surprise is better

Like actual surprise, not kayfabe surprise. If you telegraph them beating Lesnar people will expect it so there's no impact. That was part (but obviously not all) of the Reigns problem, the whole idea that he was so obviously annointed to beat Lesnar. Or so we thought.

Nobody really gave Joe much of a chance, for instance, or even Strowman. I think had they won, out of nowhere, flying in the face of everything that people thought was "planned", that would have had an impact and given them a temporary boost at least.

Brock beating the streak was a waste. A part-timer who had achieved Everything before the age of 27? It just feels like "Because He Can".

I don't know how Vince can look at Raw and not see Rollins or Braun as the guy to dethrone Brock at this point. It seems likely that it's still going to be Roman, but right now I think Rollins should be plan A, and Braun plan B.

Another blech RAW. Not really how to sell MITB but the Main Event was just okay. Opener was some what decent, Rest of the show was a big fat sleep walk. It's almost like a Marriage that'c rumbling but you're both sticking it out for the kids.

I really hope Zayn/Lashley comes to ahead on Sunday, Even though I've actively skipped over everything to do with it, it still lingers like a bad fart. C'est 'Orrible. Rehiring Bobby was benefited nobody.

205L will not disappoint, and when it does, it's generally better than the main roster anyhow.

Will the New Day have the best match on SDL for the third week straight? Also I want to know WHO (WHOOO? WHOOOO? WHOOO?) is going into the MITB ladder match?
