Sultan and I go way back; he wrestled me numerous times back when I told people that I was formerly known as Raven. Then he wrestled me during a time when I was apparently known again as Raven! Then I came back and he wanted a shot at the champ once more!

We wrestled everywhere: RUIN, Tombat, King of the Board, Summer Spectacular, Serious Survival, Stifled's son's birthday party, your local downtown grocery store, and during halftime at Super Bowl 50! Around the world once, some places twice, the ending was the same and that was Zero Signal and The Sultan laying the boots to each other's asses ALLLLLL over this arena!

The match was pretty much over once Nier jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but Resident Evil 7 finished respectable enough. Biohazard managed to outscore Nier's first three opponents combined and will settle for hitting the 33% mark; Nier: Automata advances to the final four with an 18-9 victory over RE7.

Horizon Zero Dawn (PlayStation 4)

Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo Switch)

The first of two Switch exclusives in the elite eight battles here against the last remaining PS4 exclusive to the tournament. Mario Odyssey made easy work of Thimbleweed Park and Jackbox Party Pack 4 before just doubling Night in the Woods. Horizon had convincing wins against Friday the 13th and Zodiac Age before upsetting Cuphead in the sweet 16. Now two of the year's best titles clash here for a chance against Automata!

Before I talk about yesterday's match, let's discuss the Tales series and their performances in these tournaments.

2001: Tales of Eternia loses to Phantasy Stay Online in round 1
2004: Symphonia loses to Shadow Hearts: Covenant in round 3
2006: Tales of the Abyss loses to Okami in round 2
2008: Vesperia loses to Professor Layton in round 3; Symphonia 2 loses to Kirby Super Star Ultra in round 1
2012: Graces F loses to Journey in round 2
2013: Xillia loses to BioShock Infinite in round 2
2014: Xillia 2 loses to Smash Bros 3DS in round 2; Tales of Hearts loses to Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire in round 1

So it was obvious that the Tales series has underperformed in these, with top seeded titles like Symphonia and Vesperia burning out in the sweet 16. For awhile, it seemed like Berseria yesterday was going to meet the same fate, as Pyre jumped out to a decent lead. In the second half, however, Tales of Berseria came back when it mattered the most and pulls off the victory in the final hours! Tales of Berseria becomes the first in the series to reach the Elite Eight with a 15-12 win over Pyre! It's reward? A showdown with contest favorite Zelda.

Nier: Automata (PS4, PC)

Automata has laid every game in its path to waste with a combined 46-8 total against Dujanah, Nioh, and Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Biohazard had easy wins against Fortnite and Evil Within 2 before going into overtime and beating Doki Doki by a single vote. Square vs. Capcom to determine the first spot in the final four begins now!

Tonight, on RUIN, the deck is stacked once more as I, Zero Signal, have been placed once again in a match with XIII! Let the record show that 2016 was the year that Zero Signal and XIII viciously beat the hell out of each other non stop for nearly six months! We headlined Ultimatum, the non-Rumble portion of the UCA Rumble, Epopmania VIII, and Pandemonium; three months in a row we were alone in the stratosphere!

Also recall seeing a fair share of Luchadors/other Mexican wrestlers job regularly in WCW. Silver King, Lizmark Jr, Villano V come to mind first. Also, the Disciple eventually got reduced to jobber status before leaving in 1999.

Bloodhound Gang has (at least) two songs, but I guess the public isn't really divided on it since almost everyone thinks of The Bad Touch first and foremost.

This. Closest they came to The Bad Touch was Mope, Foxtrot Unicorn Charlie Kilo, and Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss. None of them really became that big.

Finger Eleven by Canadian standards could also include Drag You Down, First Time, and Good Times. However, in America, you pretty much only know them for One Thing and Paralyzer

My apologies for the slight delay, I was watching Black Panther (which was awesome, btw).

Not like it mattered with yesterday's match, as Metroid: Samus returns got blasted by Persona 5 with a final score of 14-3. Compared to the previous rounds, both Outlast 2 and Wolfenstein II fared better.

Picking up right where DDLC/RE7 left off, Cuphead and Horizon brought us another match that stayed close the entire time, with neither game getting a lead bigger than by 3 votes. Halfway through, Cuphead had a 10-7 lead, but the next stretch would favor Horizon going on a 7-1 run and as a result, we have the first #1 seed to fall in the tournament. Horizon Zero Dawn advances to the Elite Eight with a 14-11 victory over Cuphead.
