So I have no loyalty to him or his game. But what a smooth brain take to not see his value in the game. Hes a first party Nintendo character who has never appeared in another game and we are probably not going to see another SMRPG anytime soon. Smash is EXACTLY where a character like this belongs. He belongs right there with all of Nintendos abandoned or forgotten franchises like Ice Climbers. Kid Icarus, Earthbound, F-Zero. Am I forgetting any? Literally imagine not being in favour of him in the game. Low level trolling at its finest. No company hates its own products quite like Nintendo. Like first imagine not just putting all these classic game on a store, charging a decent price and watch the money trucks show up to your front door. Second imagine not advertising these games in unique ways like putting a character in Smash that reminds people this game exists or any inquisitive mind might dig into the characters origin. Nintendo and its fans really make me scratch my head sometimes. --- |

As a kid this movie shaped how we thought for our entire lives. It pushed people into careers. Now that the science is telling us dinosaurs had feathers it would have been awesome to see a more realistic depiction on screen. But no they didnt want to alarm anyone... --- |

Things I think most of this is just doomsaying for the sake of it. The only thing that doesnt feel right in that trailer or your images is the Tower Knight / Boss arena. Theres something about the bleak greys and greens and the general haziness of the art style, that add to the bleak and depressing vibe of the game. a lot of this is just hardware limitations so idk Joe you recreate that in a pleasing way AND also dont get roasted for phoning in a cheap remake At the end of the day it looks gorgeous in any case. If the tone isnt exactly the same itll be a bummer but am I really going to cry about a better looking game? Unlikely. --- |

It was indicating from the very beginning that there was a bigger, most fantastical world. Were not that far off the same page here. Theres a reason why Iron Man never saw Fin Fang Foom or a comic accurate depiction of the Manderin. There was a barrier of disbelief that the MCU rode, and probably still exists to some extent. Even characters like Mysterio have been given an MCU spin to make them work in this Universe. The road to get to things like Dr Strange, Ant Man, Guardians, etc has been a slow methodical one. Yeah it was set up to go places. But it never shot its wad too early. Its not hard to see that Feige and whoever else is orchestrating the MCU wants the films to have weigh so its not complete mindless bullshit (what the haters would have you believe anyway). Theyre structured and paced out so the suspension of disbelief in this Universe wasnt immediately shattered by something so out to lunch. --- |
