Plus most of the abandoned resources for that archstone went into making Sen's Fortress so you already kind of got it. And its a shame that theyre doing this to the only version that will be fully playable and will reach the widest audience, because its a bit of a spit in the face to the original, just as SotC was. Things I think most of this is just doomsaying for the sake of it. The only thing that doesnt feel right in that trailer or your images is the Tower Knight / Boss arena. Theres something about the bleak greys and greens and the general haziness of the art style, that add to the bleak and depressing vibe of the game. a lot of this is just hardware limitations so idk Joe you recreate that in a pleasing way AND also dont get roasted for phoning in a cheap remake At the end of the day it looks gorgeous in any case.
