Loki feeling like hes owed a throne attempts to bargain with Thanos for an army, invades earth. Must be stopped, people team up to stop him. The death of Coulson is ultimately what binds the team tigger forwards a common threat.

Beyond that Thanos used Loki as a pawn, gambling one infinity stone to get two, but also seeing what the earth is capable of, as he wasnt fully ready to exact his plan.

It also sets up the friction between captain America and Iron Man.

I dont agree with this critique at all.

Loki is such a jobber in this movie. Any fight scene hes involved in is so lame. Hulk tossing him around like a sack of potatoes at the end would have been far more rewarding if he kicked any kind of ass in this movie.

But I like how every character gets to have multiple moments showcasing their skills, intelligence, etc.

The real tough thing for me though is some of Joss Whedons dialogue. Some of it is fantastic. an ant has no quarrel with a boot for example.

Idk... I liked him in LOTR, star trek, dredd, Thor ragnorak, the boys... Basically all his big roles.

Dredd should have had a couple sequels...

Star Trek is the movie I first noticed he cant act.

He doesnt feel like hes in the same movie as the other actors. Hes so fucking bad.

Maybe this will be the project that makes people realize that this new phase of the MCU will have projects not made directly for them.

Idk when people started taking so much offence to jokes, humour or anything lighthearted. Its honestly annoying how much people complain about the humour in anything these days.

The only thing I really hated was the goats, but who didnt.

The emotional moments in this movie really hit, especially the ending is very well done.

The story is actually really good, and I think its actually a lot more cohesive than I, or anyone else for that matter seems to be giving it credit for.

Ill agree the Lawyering so far hasnt been anywhere what Id hope for from a lawyer show. The writing in that regard seems really lacking and I think gives the impression that it thinks its audience is complete idiots.

And we are, but so is the audience to most shows. I mean just give me one Suits moment where the case seems unwinable, Jen digs in, finds some shit at the last minute, spouts off some Law babble, and wins the day. They did that 47 times an episode for 9 seasons. The formula is there.

But regardless its still a fun ass show with some hilarious moments and really good characters. We have such high expectations these days but when you think of lost shows you like, it always took a few seasons to really start cooking. I guess the limited nature of these Marvel shows might warrant higher expectations but idk, Im more patient than most.

It was just like so many things that they did, that would seem to point to a bigger reveal just to be nothing. A few examples..

Like Monica talking that she had a friend that she could call. They way it was framed made it seem like it was be something big, and it turned out to be nothing.

Then calling her kids hell spawn. When in the comics that are, but here nope they are just her dream kids.

The actor who played Vision talked up his final fight . Talking about he was fighting this great actor this and that. When he was just fighting a white him.

1) I dont remember this. Is she alluding to Captain Marvel? You know Captain marvel doesnt actually have to show up for this reference to matter, right?

2) we call these nods. We acknowledge thats all they are and move on.

3) His name is Paul Bettany, put some respect on it. you think he might have beenjoking? I mean this is the worst example because youre taking what an actor said in an interview and taking it out of context to mean the show let down on expectations built within the show itself.

Donny "Blaze" probably just a stage name, you guys are thinking too much about this.

The MCUs continuity has always been one of the best in that regard. Theres a long precedent of the devil being in details and fans are rewarded almost every time for picking up on most of them.

It does call into question why they would give this random character such a close name to one of Marvels most notable figures.

It's very possible to not like certain episodes about certain shows. Like for me, I thought this was the weakest episode because it felt like one giant filler. This episode would've been great if this was an episodic type of show, but clearly it's "building" up to something but I don't have a clear vision on what that is atm.

This is literally trying to be a more slice of life style show and a comedy first and foremost.

Of course its building to something its also a superhero show and theyre setting up a few different threads. But theres so many shows that care more about the comedy and its characters than the plot or maybe some dramatic tension that continues over the season. This is one of those shows.

And while thats all true, and I wouldnt come to this show with this expectation like it needs to have such important stakes in the MCU, and its going to answer every question you have and set up the coming years. For a genuinely funny, slice of life style show they still have done a tremendous job of connecting a lot of different storylines together. For example I particularly like how it answers any question of the arena scene in Shang-Chi, reestablishes Emil Blonksy / Abomination, and possibly sets a path towards The Thunderbolts.

Like if thats the kind of details you come to this show for, I think your expectations and understanding of what the show is dont align. The fact that this show could still provide that in its style and format is the cherry on top for me.

idk I feel like Im one of the few people who take in to account the totality of a comment section and the piling on and en mass judge fests that it almost always devolves too is exhausting and moronic from an outside perspective. I can only imagine how the people with the problems in the first place must feel.

The fact that when 3000 people scrutinize something to the degree Reddit does, nothing can stand up to that. Let alone any human interaction.

Idk how true it is but I saw a video that said theyre not making any difference in their recyclability, just the fact that sprite bottles being bright green stand out like sore thumbs in landfills. Its a completely superficial fix.
