I think the impact of Riverrun and Daario in the show is obviously less in the show, but I wouldn't call them completely irrelevant. Riverrun needed to be taken, otherwise it would be a lingering plot point where everyone could've been like "so what happened to Riverrun"

Daario's purpose essentially is just to make Dany not want to fully "commit" to Hizdahr, which is less relevant in the TV show but if you see how pointless Hizdahr was in the show, I guess you're right, it could've been cut.

Also to nitpick a bit, something a review vid I watch pointed out: the Kingsguard armour is so lame. It's such generic armor, while in the books it's supposed to be all white. Heck, even Jaime is constantly decked out in Lannister colors instead of Kingsguard colors!

Wow, I don't agree at all. I think Tyrion was great until he got captured by Jorah. Jon's chapters in Dance for me just devolved into "there's not enough food at the Wall m'lord" or "but we can't let the wildlings pass!".

Although I was able to stomach his chapters better when I read Dance alongside Feast.

I've always found Jon to be a pretty bland character, to be honest. Both in the books and in the show.

Also, there are plenty of named Dothraki in the books, they just never really do anything. Dany still has all three of her bloodriders in the book (Aggo, Jhogo and Rakharo) and her handmaidens (Irri & Jhiqui).

If they wanted to kill Tormund, they would've done it in the wight capture (where it would have been more impactful) or they would've done it in the scene where he and Beric were lying on the floor and watched the Wall crumble.

I know we did the whole thing with Stannis and "no show no happen" but I really feel like they wouldn't pull that with a fan favourite like Tormund. I mean, Stannis was a fan favourite too but the showrunners hated his guts so.

I meant a hole at the bottom of the Wall like there are gates but a dragon-made hole so they can just walk through it. If the dragon burning a part of the Wall destroys the enchantment, I'm sure burning a hole through it does it as well.

Also, I really can't see the show ending with Dany and Jon as a happy couple, given their familial relations. So I would bet Dany dies at one point.

By the way, to the people annoyed at Rhaegar naming two sons Aegon...

He didn't divorce his wife, he had the marriage annulled. That means that the marriage was never valid and his children in it are just bastards. That means Aegon Targaryen (Jon) is to be his 'real' son and Aegon Sand (his original son) is just kicked to the curb.

It makes sense if you assume Rhaegar is a completely heartless jackass.

This is actually a really interesting point when considering the books, and it might mean this is how fAegon's rally ends.

Also, I can't believe I didn't mention it in my post but the Sam and Bran scene was so stupid I think it actually made me dumber.

- Dragonpit scene lacked impact, although the confrontation with the wight was real good.

- I know people hate Sansa but if this is not some con by her to beat Littlefinger this is just so bad. What's the point of following Sansa's storyline if she's gonna keep making the same mistakes? Might as well have put the Quentyn plot in if you wanted to make a statement like that!

- Dany gonna get killed and I don't like it.

- Alfie Allen is so good.

- Okay, this scene with calling Arya to the Long Hall just seems sooo "OMG YOU DIDNT SEE THIS COMING DID YOU HAHA WERE SUCH GOOD WRITERS ARENT WE PSYCHE!"

- Wow look at this guys, Bran is finally being useful who'd have thunk it.

- I thought the conclusion was that the dagger was Joffrey's. Are they really gonna pin this on Littlefinger?

- Rhaegar is totally not attractive enough to be Rhaegar. Also, Lyanna is of the north, why would they wed without a weirwood tree present?

- Aegon? What? Why? What a dumb...jesus these...I don't care if this is a GRRM thing, Aegon? What a dumb....good lord.

- Emilia Clarke boobies! I don't care if they're fake boobies, boobies are boobies.

- I hope those shots of Tyrion don't imply some idiotic love triangle thing.

- For not having emotions, the Night King sure has a flair for the dramatic. Why not just burn a hole in the Wall through the bottom so your peepz can pass through? No, gotta make a big show-off scene. Pfft.

- Glad it's a normal dragon and not an ice dragon. That's not how dragons work, not even the Night King's magick.

Episode 7 and god I just can't stand any of the characters. Danny is such a moron, Colleen is even dumber and what the hell Claire is doing with the fight team when she has only basic fighting skills is a mystery to me, unless it's for drama and time to kill off Claire purposes which goddamn. Misty was so annoying here as well.

And the only two half-decent supporting characters, Trish and Malcolm, are the two THAT DON'T APPEAR IN THIS EPISODE AT ALL! WHY! At least the fight scene was wicked (but ruined by Colleen having to intervene when it looked like Matt was the one having the least amount of problems) and Foggy was able to redeem himself.

Rhaegal is obv for Jon. I think Dany will die (in the finale or next season) and Drogon will just go AWOL while Jon will ride Rhaegal to destroy the Others.

If it was Drogon, it would have confirmed GoT to have a bad end. Nothing can stop that fucker.

I did remember. I don't mind them making the reference, I made them mentioning it on social media. "Hardcore" fans will probably remember it. Casual viewers will see it on social media and either ignore it or go "Huh" and go on with their lives. No point in making a whole thing about it patting yourself on the back for dat reference.

- Happy about the Longclaw scene. It's little character moments like this that this season has been desperately lacking.

- Wouldn't even be any kind of mad if Arya died right now. What a ****.

- Tormund + Sandor = OTP

- I don't want to whinge about "inconsistencies" but in a way it frustrates me that they're just walking beyond the Wall, not half-dying of the cold. I know Gendry had his complaint scene but I feel like the cold was something that was constantly mentioned in S1 - 4 and now nobody really seems to care while it should be way colder.

- I really like Beric's actor.

- Wow, a good Tyrion scene, I'd forgotten what these looked like.

- I'm super frustrated with the Game of Thrones social media presence. They're now doing #ThronesThrowback, which referred to Arya's "It's not you" from S1 and with Nymeria and now with Jon and Tormund and Mance reference. How dumb must you think your audience is (or how clever you are) to be like "HEY GUYS THIS THING FROM THE SCRIPT REFERENCES THIS OTHER THING WE MENTIONED BEFORE!". Now we know why they didn't do the fAegon storyline; they probably thought nobody would have a single clue who Aegon or Rhaegar was....

- Wow, really, Sansa? Dany and Cersei would both be present at the KL meeting but you're just gonna send a knight? I mean, I guess the North doesn't need to be convinced that the undead walk but one could argue Dany also needs not be there, although I guess there needs to be a person of import for the parlay.

- Man this season sure loves its drowning scenes...

- Shame about Benjen. Would've loved to see Rhaegal save Jon but this was nice too I guess.

- No one's any kind of worried that they were able to bring a wight beyond the Wall? I guess no magic properties to the thing huh.

- I think Dany should be way more upset about the death of one of her sons (even if it was Viserion)

- Maybe Arya has already killed Littlefinger and is acting like him to see how trustworthy Sansa is?

- How dumb is Sansa for breaking into Arya's room who has shown clear ninja skills, thinking she won't find out?

Well yes, because Viserys fled to Dragonstone and Dany was born there. I thought it said "fled FROM Dragonstone". At that point, Ned would have no idea that Dany was born on Dragonstone, because nobody had been there to see/know it.

Yeah, after checking the ASOIAF wiki, it states Jon was born in 283 AC and Dany in 284 AC. Because I recently read AGOT and misread that passage, I was confused.

Dany is older. In Ned's Tower of Joy flashback he mentions that Willem Darry had already fled Dragonstone, so Dany was already born at that point. Of course, in the books we don't know if Jon had already been born at that point but in the show Dany is older.

Actually, rereading the passage, Ned only mentions he knows Willem Darry fled TO Dragonstone, so I guess you can argue about it.

Here's the passage (in spoilers for if anyone hasn't read the book yet and wants to)


"I looked for you on the Trident," Ned said to them.
"We were not there," Ser Gerold answered.
"Woe to the Usurper if we had been," said Ser Oswell.

Andromeda is a game with many problems, but also showed plenty of potential. Its combat was amazing, dialogue system not great, cast too hit-and-miss, story a rip-off of the trilogy, sidequests better developed than the ones in Inquisition (and the ME trilogy tbh) and the class-changing was a lot of fun.

But I've said it before, Mass Effect's future is completely dependent on Anthem. If it flops, it will be safer financially to revive and revitalize the ME franchise as opposed to making an Anthem 2. If Anthem 2 is succesful, we'll never see another ME game, or it will be after a very long time.

I hope they make it dark and gritty, like Battlestar Galactica -- or Game of Thrones. Times have changed and it's important that our media reflects that. Make it about a war for the survival of the human race. Make the robots not just our creation, but our mistake. I think we're looking at 10-13 hour-long episodes per season, so let's capitalize on that with some 9/11-esques.

the sharp divide between Netflix show characters and MCU characters feels a little awkward now, especially with Spider-Man in the picture.

I think the divide was at its weirdest with Kilgrave. This guy is a mind-controller and it was broadcast on the radio, essentially. You would think someone in the Avengers would have heard and been like "maybe we should investigate just to be sure".
