I think that'll be a win, the only problem will be that they won't be able to/won't want to hold it, because I can imagine the Tarly's etc being sent to retake the Rock. Also, Rhaegal will be killed by the ballista, Viserion will be the Wight Dragon and Drogon will die fighting the Others + mainland. It would fit with her book character and maybe she did it to keep her mother alive or something. It would also explain how Euron knew to attack the ships and what ship to attack. I mean, she might've been kept alive as a fucktoy but it would explain why she's the only Sand Snake to survive. Also, @Extha no way VictariEuron can take Obara on land tho. He had the home deck advantage. No wonder Whipwick died though, what a dumb weapon to use on a pirate ship. Also can't believe they wasted that much time on the Grey WormxMissandei scene. Like, that scene only needed to exist so we could Nathalie Emmanuel booty and boobies. Once those were there, scene could've been over. What a useless romance. Arya x Nymeria was pretty sad. Hyped for JonxDany. Where the hell is Bran! How is he not at Winterfell yet. I liked Andromeda but it is an absolute joke to the majority of the gaming community, so they will either make sure the next Mass Effect is genuinely jaw-dropping or just call it quits here. The framedrops that happen in the Tempest are a disgrace. The game once crashed on me out of nowhere. Some of the loading times are just shocking. And going on this rant also reminded me that whoever decided you can't save while on a story mission should be fired from the game industry forever. My biggest problems are the horrible UI (crafting is such a pain), some of the later sidequests become really filled with padding, the lack of a Renegade option (I really wanted to tell Peebee and Liam to fuck off sometimes) and the main story is not anything special. And of course on a technical level the game is a joke but no, I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

| RyoCaliente 06/26/17 8:48:22 PM #469 | I recently beat Mass Effect: Andromeda. It is a terribly flawed game, but I honestly enjoyed it once I was done with Eos and I felt like I had real freedom. The gameplay is just a lot of fun; gunplay feels great (except Sniper Rifles, man. Not using a one-shot Sniper Rifle makes you a pleb but the combat is way too active to take a sit down and line up the shot) and switching Profiles and Skills just make things feel very different. The cast grew on me as well after not really clicking with me at first; Liam is garbage like Jacob and the only reason I don't want him to die is because he's a nice guy, but he's the one character I would have Renegaded EVERY SINGLE TIME IF I HAD THE FUCKING OPTION BECAUSE HE'S SUCH A WANKER FUCKING IDIOTIC PIECE OF and Cora is not super interesting, but all the other characters are pretty cool (Vetraaaaa <3). A lot of the sidequests feel useless but I can give them the benefit of the doubt considering it would have been the first game of the trilogy. It's at least better than Inquisition because the sidequests at least feel like they matter, like they would have an impact somewhere down the line; every Inquisition sidequest immediately makes you feel like it's completely pointless and a way to grind. The sidequests do get worse later on as the game sends you from planet to planet for petty objectives, just hurtling you from loading screen to loading screen (which are insanely long btw. Seriously, all the fucking scenes when landing and taking off made me want to kill myself). I think the game mainly falters with its main story. It's kind of the same as the original ME trilogy, only kind of blander and more vague. There are interesting twists and cool things the game does Tl;dr = Andromeda is flawed but not as bad as I expected, great gameplay, eh? story. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |
