An easy answer for me for the "what song do you want to hear again for the first time?", I'll never forget that intro guitar. I've never read it as a wedding cancellation; I felt the "will nature make a man of me yet?" line always implied he was desperately waiting for the moment to be attracted to females. Also interesting how the lyrics reject any and all machismo, as it puts the protagonist in the role of being whisked away by this dashing man. Pyramids is also one of those songs that just stunned me the first time I heard it. It truly is an epic, and the ending I truly adore. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

After that for shits and giggles I checked out the multiplayer and actually got in a game. I was Lvl 1 Sentinel with a Lvl 16 Infiltrator. Didn't make it because I just didn't have enough (fire)power to take out enemies quickly. Mission after that went way smoother, especially when another high-level person joined in, but then my connection dropped during extraction :(. Yeah I ended up making a Gravekeeper Deck with the Grandpa pack cards and used that until I unlocked the Crow pack and made a Blackwing deck with those cards for the rest of the game. The story decks are straight up not fun to play most of the time. I actually quite enjoy them, but it's real annoying at times because those decks are fine for anime characters who draw the exact card they need at the right time...which doesn't really happen in game. Then there are some decks that are very good but you don't know the theme because you didn't make them yourself/there's no way to check the deck so you have no idea what you're building up to or what the core is and then there's some decks that are just frustratingly incomplete (I was stuck on Yugi v Arkana for such a long time and I was just screaming why Yugi didn't have a Skilled Dark Magician at that time, which I believe he did have in the anime). --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

That game has you playing through the major duels of each anime series, which has the handy side effect of starting off relatively straightforward and gradually introducing the newer mechanics as you progress. I knew how Synchro and Xyz worked, but I couldn't wrap my head around Pendulum and Link until I got to see them in action via the game and try them out myself. I've reached the 5Ds story after getting frustrated with GX. I thought Yugi had it bad when he started with a good deck and then it got worse and worse later on, but Jaden actually starts with a well-themed deck and then ends up with all the weird Neo-Spacian and Ojama rubbish. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

There's some songs in their discography I really like, but as a whole it never really clicked. This listen was probably the most I enjoyed my experience listening to a full Strokes album! Part of it for me is that I am very susceptible to hype, and this was easily the show I was most excited for. At the end of the day, I don't feel like it really did anything though. The first couple of episodes just live off of Mobius and Loki dialogue and the episodes after that just live off of Loki and Sylvie interactions. None of those things really drive the plot or even the world forward; on the contrary, even in seeing his life play it out, it annoys me that Loki is played far more like a post-Ragnarok Loki as opposed to a post-Avengers Loki. The entire point of this series is: In that sense, I far prefer WandaVision and Falcon and WS. WandaVision at least started off interesting, and then kinda petered out at the end, and it gave the spotlight to characters who hadn't seen much of it yet. Falcon and WS wasn't too special, but I wasn't expecting it to be either, and I like the Evil Avengers setup more than this I guess there's Spider-Man but I'm almost expecting that to be more of a red herring like WandaVision Quick-Silver than anything else. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

Aqua and Magma all have a pretty cool get-up, decent basic Pokemon and the chicks are hot, but the ideology is pretty silly. Plasma doesn't have great Pokmon but ideologically you could probably get behind them pretty well. I don't remember Flare and haven't played SM/SS so can't judge on those. Of course we refer to it as a golden generation. If you feel we have to win something to be named that, that's fine, but I don't agree. Yes, we lost to Wales, but that was peak Wilmots coaching and we had also been completely and utterly outclassed by the Italians in the group stage, so I doubt we would have actually won the thing if we had beaten Wales. France's loss to Switzerland is as laughable as Belgium losing to Wales, but it doesn't turn France into a garbage side whose squad is incompetent and shouldn't be considering for victory in a tournament ever again. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

This England team is endearing on a personal level in a way that past teams absolutely weren't, Southgate seems a lovely man (though those recent "invasion" comments were fairly awful) and they deserve to be in the final. But it really seems like England are in a perfect storm of unpopularity as a political and footballing nation, to the point that even my spiteful Scottish perspective doesn't feel like an outlier.
