I'm thankful the battle royale craze is, at least so far, not as nearly widespread/awful as the MOBA craze a few years back.

I don't have stats for this, but I'm fairly certain that in western markets, fortnite is bigger than league/dota/hon/hots were at their peaks combined.

"Housing never goes down" mentality by investors

The exponential amount of money invested on people investing on housing (the big short scene with selena gomez explains this part perfectly)

Yeah there was a lot more than one or two things that contributed to the economy tanking. I'd argue that allowing industries to self regulate was another big issue that we don't seem to have learned the lesson for.

P3 and p4 are definitely more traditional jrpgs in that grinding is necessary. If you defeat every enemy you see on your way through, you'll generally still be under leveled when fighting the boss, at least for the first part of the game.
