This isn't directed towards corrik because I know he's too dense to understand the nuance. This is for the observers who may not be aware.

There are more Jews in the US than anywhere else. Judaism and Israel are not interchangeable. Many Jews, myself included, were appalled by the decision to move the embassy to Jerusalem because of the geopolitical implications. It has nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with making peace in Palestine less of a realistic goal. Defending Israel does not equate to defending Judaism. The two are separate entities. Israeli Jews loved the move, sure - because they are Israeli. Again, it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with politics.

While I dont subscribe to the DEMOCRATS ARE THE REAL RACISTS belief because it is crazy and not true, I would say anti-semitism specifically is just as bad amongst democrats.

I understand why some Jewish leaders dont want Trump there particularly for his abhorrent rhetoric after the UTR rally. But like Corrik pointed out it isnt all Jewish leaders. And we have some very questionable people in our party as well.

People forget Kushner is Jewish and Ivanka converted to Judaism to marry him. Trying to pin Anti-Semitism on Trump doesn't really hold a ton of water.

Ivanka is his Golden Child after all.

You're wrong. The fact that Ivanka had to persuade him to denounce anti semitism is statement enough on its own. The fact that he didn't disown a mob chanting "JEWS WILL NOT REPLACE US" is another example.

First off, saying "the Jewish" is rude. Secondly, Jews, especially in Pittsburgh, are more democratic currently than they were in the past, in part because of their aversion to Trump.

Okay, this has been bugging me a lot in the wake of the MAGAbomber and then the anti Semitic mass murderer in Pittsburgh. It wasn't too long ago we talked about the favorability of the Jewish between parties. Many democrats have shed favorability for the Jewish in recent years. It doesn't help that they are usually white and are religious.

Democratic party has gone further and further anti-religion over the years.

How many Jews in Pittsburgh do you know? Jewish leaders have straight up asked Trump not to visit because their congregations are so against who he is and what he stands for.

There is a difference between "left wing mobs" and murders occurring in liberal cities. Peace was specifically referencing acts of violence inspired by political ideology. The shooting of Steve Scalise would fit that definition, as would the violence at Charlottesville.

I think it's a showcase of mismanagement. Even if the employees are passionate and enjoying the work, crunch is bad for everyone in the long term. I'd much rather they set a realistic release date, even if it were a year later, than force employees to kill themselves with 100 hour work weeks.

Well, it sounds like you didn't actually boot into safe mode so it's pretty hard to say. (Safe mode is very obvious, it's an all-black desktop with "safe mode" prominently displayed in the upper right.)

My early guesses would mostly involve start-up processes that are fucking with your computer, but dying hardware is also a pretty realistic scenario. In either event backing up your stuff while you've got it working is a smart idea. That way if it happens again you can handle it without worrying about losing anything important.

I swear we've had this exact conversation at least three other times. Corrik's entire moral stance can be defined as "I have no sympathy for anyone who experiences any negative consequences for their actions."

This is not a surprising take from him. He wants drug users to die, with their corpses removed from the streets before he's forced to see them.

He has no understanding of anything beyond the surface, so expecting him to grasp the idea of treating drug users with humanity is laughable.
