I don't think Maokai's sapling really clashes with his kit that much. He works well on poke comps not only because he has good poke himself, but also because poke champs tend to not do as great when the enemy team is all up in your face, and he has 3 abilities that help protect pokers and people with range. Maokai allows teams to fight on their own terms, and the sapling sort of helps with that.

Zyra's ultimate, when combined with Galio's and/or Amumu's, could make for some crazy combos.

Can the seeds/plants be targetted by Orianna's ball or, say, Janna's Shield? I suppose I have the same question for Heimer's turrets, since I've never really played him much either. And speaking of Janna, if Janna ults and an enemy Heimer turret / Zyra plant is in range, does it get moved?

Just looking at Zyra, I feel like if you spam her seeds all over the place (do they cost any mana? doesn't look like it), you could do some intricate zoning and if you're really up on your micro you could avoid buying as many wards as mid. Spamming seeds everywhere would give you flexibity, and I feel like it could be strong in the right hands. It's just not ridiculous bursty damage like everyone has come to love with APs.

hold the **** up, I know Morello isn't a fan of sustain but completely removing it would change this game even more into a glass cannon fest. More than 50% of my champs are bruiser-y champs and I love them!

I'm not saying they do actually want to remove it completely or that they should, just that the direction they've been going in for some time now is to nerf things that regain hp (other than hp regen) because seeing an enemy's HP bar shoot up after you blow everything on them is anti-fun.

Ok so they essentially gave him a second passive, a better ultimate (I always felt his ulti had no umph in it), better late-game, and godly sustain.

I understand why they'd implement the first three things, but considering how hardcore they nerfed Irelia's sustain, I feel it's very odd for them to have given Xin sustain like that. Especially when they're trying to remove sustain from the game.

So uh... I never played any Xin, but what about him is reworked, exactly? I know that that's a new passive, but I don't remember his old one. And most of the abilities look the same, except they added passive sustain... the thing that Riot said made Irelia OP. Um. k

Like I said, it seems that his only downside is his lack of a real escape. Increased movement speed isn't really that big of a deal, if multiple players pin you down. But that requires some coordination and teamwork, and lol solo q.

Actually, it seems that a fair amount of recent champions punish the other team if they don't coordinate.

Yes, but in lane, very few ADs will get Mercs. I said that's another plus for Nunu because he can increase his lanemate's AS and lower the enemy's. For some reason I was under the impression that Nunu's only real support ability was Blood Boil.

"Attack speed reduction duration is not affected by tenacity. However if attack speed reduction is in one ability with crowd control like Nunu's Ice Blast, then tenacity reduces its duration. So attack speed reduction is reduced by tenacity only along with other crowd control. "


That's really interesting, I've never really thought about how that worked before. Another reason why Nunu rocks as support!

anything I should know? I've skimmed through the booklet, and I think I'm about to escape from Hellena or whatever? Don't have a strong opinion on the game yet, but it's put me in the mood for a good real-time JRPG (as in, I think I want to buy ToGf or something, but I don't know how well I'd like the pokemon-style paths between towns; I hated ToS:DotNW or whatever it was called and the lame point-and-click to get around). I'm having an ok time with Dragoon right now, but I hope it picks up soon.

Gah. I wish I had better internet. We haven't changed from fios, but it's been good up until this summer. It just randomly goes out for a few minutes at a time with zero warning, so I'd feel guilty playing any League. And watching LoL on streams isn't quite as fun as it used to be.
