Thought I spelled it out pretty clearly in the last post... It's your echo chamber because you ignore all the people who are more knowledgeable than you and correct you on your woefully misinformed posts. You create a bubble for yourself to hide from the smart posters

Try to keep up bud, I hope I don't have to repeatedly explain something so simple.
Well, I didn't block you. So what's your excuse for that?
I only have a handful of people blocked. They just happen to be the loudest mouths here, and it shows. It's the constant go to for you and many others. I blocked them for being creeps. Don't constantly @ me. Don't make alts and follow me with them. Just don't be a harassing weirdo and you won't get blocked, it's that simple. Oh, there's a couple on there that asked me to block them too, so I did. I just find it funny that it bothers you so much. Another person here posted their block list. It was more than twice as many people as mine. I didn't see you throwing a fit at them. I think you're just looking for an excuse to be a prick.

And yet who is it that keeps bringing out bills meant to achieve that goal? And who is that keeps voting against them?
Like the Inflation Reduction Act? The 740 billion dollar bill that does basically nothing to reduce inflation. They hope it will bring in 300 billion over the next decade. Super helpful.
They just keep printing money with no consideration of how to pay it back. You want a fun fact? The interest payments alone on our debt are about to surpass our total military spending. Yet nobody will do anything to stop it. We have two multi-billion dollar proxy wars to fund after all. So the military industrial complex is living high on the hog right now.

Do you really think people are just going to ignore the economy when they go to the polls? We have the worst inflation in 50 years, and it's not going anywhere. They can try to tout lower inflation numbers all they want, it's not going to help. People want to see deflation. They need to see prices come down. They keep cooking the books to make the numbers look better, but it's only making things worse for the average person. I just saw an article the other day swooning over how the GDP is through the roof. Yeah, that's going to happen when Janet prints 600 billion dollars in one month.
What they don't understand is that your average household could care less about any of those numbers. The ones they care about are the ones they see on their grocery receipt and on the gas pump, and when the prices keep going up, they're going to blame whoever is in charge. You can take all the social issues and throw them right in the trash. At the end of the day people's #1 issue is providing for their family.

If I'm responding to someone in a topic, that's the extent of any "real estate" they occupy... very fleeting. I guess they need to tell themselves these things to get over being completely annihilated intellectually by multiple posters every time they post lmao
And days later you're still upset. You're acting like a toddler because I'm not willing to spend my day arguing with strangers having self-righteous temper tantrums on a message board.
It's funny. I visit a bunch of other boards, and disagree with plenty of people, but this is the only one where people have such an unhealthy fixation. Get a hobby or something. If this is how you talk and act in the real world, you're not going to get very far in life.

I mean if the light father, or whatever we want to call him, sent Jesus in to save us from yhwh, the corrupt creator god, then you'd think he cares at least somewhat
It's been a long time since I've read through all of it, but If I recall correctly it went something like this. The creator god of this realm Sameal (the demiurge) abandoned the celestial realm in protest of being shirked of his rank. The actual supreme god and just about everyone else could care less that he did it. The one that did, was the wife of the celestial god. She sent her son to try to help. That's where things get a bit fuzzy depending on what texts you go off of. The post Christianity texts say that this was Jesus, while the earlier writings seem to imply this was actually Lucifer. That was why he led Eve to the tree of knowledge. In a sense, to show them the nature of their creator, and the prison they were bound to. It also explains the severe punishment that followed. I guess you could kinda compare the fruit of the tree, to the red pill in the Matrix. There's a lot more to it but damned if I can remember. Either way you look at it, the one attempt to save mankind failed.

I really should go back and read through everything. It's been well over a decade.

In my opinion, Gnosticism is a lot more conceptually valid than Christianity. It's also infinity more terrifying if it were true. It doesn't have any kind of an endgame. Just mankind trapped in an infinite inescapable cycle, with the only players capable of stopping it, being completely indifferent to our very existence. No surprise it didn't win history's favor.

Well, it did exist before WWII. It was just a very long time before it. The whole situation with the re-founding of Israel in 47' was pretty messed up, and there are a lot of fair arguments on both sides. The one thing that isn't really debated, is that Jerusalem and the surrounding lands have been in perpetual conflict for thousands of years. It's highly doubtful that things would be any better there if it never happened.
A lot of people don't know that Einstein was offered the presidency of Israel in 1952, but declined it. Makes you wonder what things would be like if he'd accepted. It probably wouldn't have been world changing, but it's still fun to speculate.

I think the big concern now is if this will embolden Iran. If they see this as a win for Hamas, they might be tempted to throw their hat in the ring. That's the scary part about any kind of conflict surrounding Israel. It doesn't take much for bigger players to get pulled in.

It sounds like you could use something to keep your hands and mind busy. Doesn't really matter what. I'd keep an eye on how much gaming you do too, especially if you're living alone since there's nobody there to interrupt you. If you're finding yourself in one of those repetitive cycles, eight hours on a game tends to make it even worse. Easy way to forget you even had a weekend.

I remember watching an interesting video a while back about how the big comic book wave in the 90s was a sort of augury of how Gen X saw the future. We killed Superman and Batman, only to make new heroes that were bigger monsters than the villains they were fighting.

This is like living in an anti-left handed agenda world. Dafuq do you mean. Left handed people exist.
Not everything is an agenda. You really don't see their argument at all? You have a different viewpoint than them, and you want your viewpoint pushed on their children against their will.
What if it was the other way around? Your kid was enrolled in school, and the teachers were hanging crosses on the walls and pushing bible study on your kid. I imagine you'd probably be pretty pissed.
Here's a crazy idea, maybe when a kid goes to math class they talk about math, and leave everything else out of it.
People really seem to have a problem with boundaries these days. Schools are meant to teach basic skills, not what to believe or not believe. That's called indoctrination, and it's wrong no matter what side you're on.

Truckers for sure. Only people I've every seen back up into places with only an inch of clearance. I'd say experienced forklift operators are a close second.

Restrictions on weapons of war largely exist to benefit nations that already have military superiority. These are also the nations that should be most held accountable for breaking these conventions, as it's done almost purely out of malice.

The US should never use cluster bombs. Russia shouldn't be using cluster bombs.

When Ukraine is already being cluster bombed by a more powerful nation that's 100% in the wrong it's insanely out of touch to try and restrict their ability to fight back.
So where's the cut off? Nerve agents? Napalm?
Cluster bombs aren't restricted because a country uses them out of malice, they're restricted because they tend to leave a bunch of small unexploded munitions all over the place. The kind kids end up finding decades after the fact. Often with tragic results.

Hey, there he is. The ruskie shill popped up again.
You got me. I don't like war, so I'm clearly an agent of the Russian state.

Maybe if you wish really hard, the fates will bless you with critical thinking someday.

People do have too much money, and it is the cause of the inflation. Where everyone gets hung up is with the word "money". In a fiat currency system like ours Money = Debt. We treat debt as an asset. It doesn't matter if you actually hold any of the value of it or not. There used to be limits on how debt was treated but the last of those got torn down with Dodd-Frank. It removed the barrier between speculative banking and deposit banking. Where it was once illegal for a bank to use customer assets for investment, it has now become the norm.

People think they put their money in the bank and it just sits there. Lol,no. They invest it immediately. That's why when the yield inverts, all of the banks start going tits up. Everyone thinks they're safe because of the FDIC, but that only works to a degree. The last audit of the FDIC revealed they only have enough to cover about 1.6% of total deposits. Probably less since they raised the $250,000 limit on the SVB claims.
