I'm guessing you weren't around for the Super Nintendo days. There's a reason it's still regarded as the best system with the best library in gaming history. Not saying there aren't some amazing games out now, but back then there were a LOT of amazing games. I've been watching my production reports for months now, and they've been negative almost every week. So I went into my annual review fully expecting to get my ass chewed out. My boss sat me down, and we went over my numbers. I was under target numbers for 7 out the 9 categories, but because I was above the group average in all of them I was all good, and I ended up walking out of it with a promotion. I can't say I even felt relived afterwards, just because I was so damn confused. I've been ripping my hair out all year over these numbers just to find out they didn't really matter. Do other company do this?

Guns are just an easy scapegoat for people to chase when a tragedy happens. The new red herring is the AR-15 because of mass shootings. They don't realize that assault style weapons have been around a LONG time, and mass shootings are a relatively new trend. Hell, the Colt SP-01 (the first AR-15 for civilian purchas) just went on the Curios & Relics list last year. That means the AR-15 has been available to the public for 51 years now. Let's not forget they're widely available in Canada as well, but they don't seem to have the same mass shooting problem we have here in the US.
The problem here is, everyone is stressed to the max, and no one gives a shit about anyone else's problems. In fact, the more problems you have, the higher the chance of that person being alienated and isolated. These are the consequences of perpetuating a self-centered society. It's the same reason we have the massive prison population that we do. Oh, you're having a hard time? Well I can't be bothered to try and improve your situation. We'll just put you somewhere out of sight. Have you ever noticed all these shooters tend to be that fucked up guy that no one wants anything to do with? Well what does a person abandoned by society have to lose? Nothing. So why not go out with a bang. I imagine it's a pretty tempting option if you think your only other outcome is a life of solitude and misery.

I can't disagree. I can't wait for the next Left 4 Dead. Now that's a game where the multiplayer works right. The team that works together best wins, and if someone's not pulling their weight, you just vote to kick them. After a few rounds of weeding out the idiots, you usually end up with a pretty kick ass team of randoms.

We would never have a revolution here, it would be a civil war. We would have military aid, from our own military. That's the point I'm trying to get across. This country would fracture, and what is now the current US military would become two separate forces. Don't believe me? Go ask some soldiers if they're willing to start kicking down people's doors to seize their weapons. Some might say yes, but I guarantee half or more will say they'll throw their uniform in the trash and fight alongside the people.

Maybe just clean yourself up a bit? We're not talking about some impossible task here. Take a shower. Alright, say that's true. And say literally every man, woman, and child is equipped with an AR-15 and unlimited ammo, how exactly are we supposed to over throw one of the worlds largest armed forces? How are the common people, even armed with unlimited ammo supposed to go against drones, powerful bombs, aircraft, tanks, etc. Sure, a small handful of military vehicle are owned by civilians, but those aren't going to last long. The general population is hopeless to stand up against death from the skies; not to mention all the possibilities of bioweapons or simply shutting off the utilities the government controls.

Perhaps in the musket days the general population could overthrow the government via force, but I don't think it's possible in today's world.

You do realize that about half the states would probably defect, and those states have tanks, and drones, and bombs. Your argument holds no water. Under your logic, all the soldiers should stop carrying guns too. What's the point if they have tanks, and drones? Stupid. Small arms are the key asset to overtaking a larger force. You ambush key targets, steal all their shit, and go back into hiding. It's one of the oldest tactics on earth, and just as effective now as it was in the Bronze Age.

This, but don't go down the liberal arts road because of it. You're still more likely to get hired into a position unrelated to your degree, than with a liberal arts degree. I went to school to be a Gunsmith, and ended up a Design Engineer. A friend of mine tried to get into a similar position as me with the same company with a liberal arts degree and ended up taking a position about 3 pay tiers below me. Employers like to see that you dedicated your education to something in particular, even if that something isn't what they're hiring for. It shows you can make up you mind and get it done, rather than him-hawing about what you want to do with your life.

I did a lot of drugs when I was younger, including meth. It's just speed. Think really strong coke that lasts all day. Whatever the case, it wasn't the meth that made her do that, it was some kind of severe mental issue.
