I wouldn't trust the opinion of Star Wars fans on anything at this point. I won't make fun of them for being trapped in the habit of watching comforting garbage but the idea that other people might get tricked into joining them at this point is kind of insulting.

By the way, while I do like the show. I was just adding the misogynist thing because that's usually the go to defense.

Personally I like all of the Star wars shows so far, except obiwan cause it just had way to much ridiculous things in it. Like Vader being stopped by a little bit of fire, the terrible three kids in a trench coat scene, and the many other bad scripting. Oh and I didn't like the Inquisitor chick. It was bad bad for me. Though it does have some good scenes in it, it's just a land fill with some cool stuff tosses in.

I also haven't seen andor, so I can't really compare it. Andor is considered the best either way.

Star Wars is over saturated with crap now, and I just don't want to watch anything with Star Wars in the title now.

And on a related note, what the hell kind of name is "The Bad Batch" when I first heard that name and didn't know it was a Star Wars thing, I thought it was some kind of Seth Rogen stoner comedy about poisoned edibles.

For the most part, it feels like it wants to be a victory lap celebration for Rebels. Which falls kinda flat because a large part of the fanbase just refuses to watch the animated stuff and for some reason reason only side-character actors get to reprise their roles in live-action. Some of which really stand out.

Of course, it also messed up on a writing level, how can one pretend to celebrate Rebels and then not feature Zeb?

You don't like the thing that I like! You're obviously a bigot!
Lol, I can't even imagine going through life with that attitude.

The show is okay. They actually did really good with Ahsoka, but Sabine is annoying and is generally dragging the show down. The more screen time she gets, the less I like the show.

I made an apology post. I only said it cause it's usually the go to defense. Should have made it more obvious that it was in jest.

This is actually a huge point.

When you've alienated like 95% of your audience, the ones that remain are the ones who've proven they'll happily lap up whatever shit you spoonfeed them. So their opinions sort of become meaningless because they'll give good reviews to even terrible shows.

This is something you used to be able to see in wrestling - when WWE was putting out absolutely horrible shows the vast majority of wrestling fans stopped watching. Ratings dropped, ticket sales dropped, merch sales dropped. But the fans who stayed would happily watch pretty much anything. So their opinions were kind of meaningless for anyone else.

You can also see this on Rotten Tomatoes for Marvel and DC stuff these days - because the people who hate it have long since stopped caring or watching it, the only people left are the people who will happily accept mediocrity (or worse). So you'll actually get higher than expected ratings for shows and films that otherwise absolutely tanked hard.

When you permanently chase all the negative opinions away by being unrepentantly terrible, the remaining positive reviews don't really mean all that much.

Disney can still get people praising shows like Andor or Ahsoka. But it's apparently not bringing in Disney+ subscribers or translating into merch sales, so they aren't actually benefiting from it.

I greatly enjoy the Ahsoka character, especially from the Clone Wars. I was really excited for it, but felt let down. I try not to go into any show with high expectations so these things don't happen. The ending felt bland and off. And the series itself didn't seem to actually star Ahsoka. I didn't hate it. I enjoyed it. But still felt like a let down.

To me, I would say the best one is Obi-Wan.

I didn't watch Ashoka. I enjoyed the first season of mandalorian. But now I have to watch Boba fett and ashoka to understand everything in the mando verse. Except Boba fuck is awful. And to get Ashoka apparently I need to watch clone wars and or rebels? All for a show that's reportedly mid?

I think I'm just over star wars in general. Andor was excellent but that's one exception

I think that's more of testament to the poor state of TV in general these days.
