It basically comes down to this. Outside of first degree murder and most sex crimes, people can't be held on cash bail unless one of these circumstances apply.

1. a judge determines that they are a flight risk
2. if they are in violation of their parole or probation
3. if they are already on pretrial release for a previous charge.

I don't doubt in the least bit a considerable amount of violent nasty individuals will get cut loose, just because lazy judges and prosecutors want to cut back on their paperwork. I wouldn't go so far as to compare it to the purge, but it will very likely make an already crime ridden hell hole even more dangerous.

I wouldn't go see it if it was happening outside my front door. Those people don't deserve the attention.

They gave me a 24% raise out of the blue a few months back. From what I can tell, only the more experienced engineers got it. I think they were worried about us getting poached by other firms.

What is needed is to make all future student loans dischargible in bankruptcy.
That in turn means banks won't be willing to loan out large sums.
That in turn means students won't have a bottomless pit of cash to spend.

But we can't do that, the college industrial complex is too deep in Congress's pockets.

I agree for the most part, but there's a few problems with that.

Sadly the bankruptcy thing is there for a reason. That was started because a ton of law students kept taking out massive loans, then filing bankruptcy the second they got their degrees to purge their debt.

I think most of the student debt issues could be solved with one simple change. Just make it so you only need to take classes directly related to your major. A massive amount of the cost comes from being forced to pay for a bunch of unrelated filler credits. If you're studying to be a chemist, there is absolutely no reason for you to take an english lit class.

If that's what they really meant, then why didn't they enforce it that way? All the things being done with guns that you're pissing your panties about, were all being done back in 1791. Hunting, target shooting, self defense, all of it and then some. They were even cool with dueling. Obviously they considered that all part of the "keep and bear arms" part. They made a lot of laws and amendments after that, but not a single one mentioning any of the things you're crying about. Just because your knees turn to jelly around guns, doesn't mean you get to dictate how they're used. If you don't like it move to a country that better aligns with your values.

You don't get concealed or open carry permits, you don't have a use for it in general life. If you are transporting a gun, it must be for the purpose of militia necessities i.e. training or storage. You appear, like most of the anti 2A people, to just pretend the second part does not exist, as well as the context in which it was written. The whole point is to have a well armed populace, that can at any time assemble a militia if needed, and any attempt to prevent that is a violation of the constitution. People like to argue that they didn't intend for them to have heavy armaments, well that's bullshit. They made full use of privateers at the time. Private citizens that literally had war ships decked out with cannons stem to stern. The idea was that the people would be an army in and of itself, with the ability to assemble and fight anyone that would attempt to deny them the rights acknowledged in the constitution. Enemies foreign, and domestic.

I couldn't really say, since I don't listen to the guy. I think the only thing I saw from him was when he snuck into Bohemian Grove. I was just pointing out that "silencing" someone is something reserved for dictators and fascists. If you don't like him, don't listen to him. He has the right to say whether he wants, and you have the right to ignore every word of it.

No clue, but he probably deserved it.

I think your numbers are off by a good margin here. I landed at 144 on my last test, and that only places in the top 2%. I think the 99.9999 percentile would probably be more like 180+. There's usually only a handful of them in the world at a time. A group I used to be in had a specialized test for "super geniuses". They were ridiculous. I took a crack at it once, and I only got like 3 out of 30 correct.

I almost forgot, The Outsider. It was originally a Stephen King book. HBO made a mini-series out of it, and actually did a pretty good job. It pulls you in pretty good from the first episode.

I posted a study that shows there's a potential for an autoimmune disorder, and look at how you defectives respond. I think you just see completely different words when you read something.

The insanity effects from Eternal Darkness were awesome. It's one of the very few game mechanics that were designed specifically to screw with the player rather than the character. With the advancements in gaming, they could take it to a whole other level. A VR game with insanity effects would be badass.

If you don't want to read the study, the the summation is that they found the mRNA is being converted to DNA in liver cells. With that, it's replicating the spike proteins on the liver cells. This can lead to a form of autoimmune hepatitis that causes your immune system to confuse the liver cells with viral cells and attack them. They're still researching whether this is taking place in other parts of the body.

Well, it's called the bill of rights for a reason. They're the founding principles of this nation.
