Which I mean, it's a decent amount of "legitimate" TMRs (and I have enough moogles right now to max another one-two), but the macroing definitely helped a lot. (Though it could've helped more-- I put priority on some weird selections. Blade Mastery was kind of a dumb one to give priority for example.)

I've macro farmed a bit. Not nearly as much as some people as I usually spend my stamina on other stuff or don't care enough to spend the stamina, but I've gotten in the range of 10 TMRs out of it.

Also it crashed a lot and made my old laptop run really hot. I built a pretty high end PC recently though so I may start doing it a bit more.

Instead I can have X-Death dual cast Thundaga on my team after she dual casts Reflect 3 times for a 12x Thundaga every 3 turns. Marvelous.

(Why doesn't X-Death have Waterga :( :( :(. Someday we'll get an item or something that gives Waterja I know it.)

Eh +800hp healing a turn seems almost like wasted effort. Might as well just give her more spirit to make the regen more potent.

Also I kinda think the healing staff is better because it has +8 SPR and what's Marie gonna use MAG for anyway.

Huh on looking at her skills + enhancements Marie actually seems to do what I wanted Luka to be able to-- high potency long regen (10000hp+15x over 5) is pretty cool-- with other useful skills on top of it.

If only she had an actual healing spell of any sort. Can't you buy Curaja from a chocobo or something.

Well she'll be useful for killing Malboro at least whenever I get around to doing any of those things but she's not exactly exciting as X-Death can't wear that godly robe. I can give Tilith the robe at least though.

I can't complain too much though. Beats a 210. And as said probably beats a 2B too as I really only wanted A2.

So I've been telling numbers, to never give up, as I got Elza on the last draw of the banner way back in the day... sure enough, like clockwork, the VERY LAST DRAW I was going to make on this banner was a rainbow.

I actually love Alpha 3, mostly because it has by far the most entertaining Story Mode of any SF game to me, but at a high level I'm pretty sure there's a lot wrong with it. I think V-Ism introduces a lot of problems with a lot of characters at minimum.

This is sort of just vague memory of asking Sytha about it though-- I never really followed it closely or anything. I do think the gameplay has to be at fault more than accessibility or whatever else you're attributing it to. I mean SF3 was less accessible than a lot of fighters for a really long time but it was also one of the most popular, because the gameplay was just that good.

I think there are a ton of people who are still active in the fighting game community who'd disagree with you there. Hell I'm pretty sure Street Fighter 2 Turbo has a more active tournament scene than Alpha 3 at this point. And I bet it'll have a more active tournament scene than SFV by the time SFVII comes out.

Anyway yeah I tend to agree that it's basically just FPSes that "hasn't aged well" really applies to, because of, ironically, FPS. It's no coincidence that Goldeneye is pretty much the only game I say this about with any regularity. Pretty sure it applies to a lot of FPSes from back then but that's the only one I played a lot of. Well aside from Doom-- I think Doom still holds up though because all the animations and mechanics and stuff are designed with clunkiness in mind.

Fighters of yore that were bad... they kinda were just bad. I mean Street Fighter 2 holds up magnificently to this day, and it was the king back then too. I guess you could say people were kinda more kind in how they perceived fighters because there were less good ones out there, but yeah.

I replayed Symphonia like 3 years ago around when the PSN release came out and thought it held up completely fine.

It's also the only game on this list I've actually played in full though so I didn't actually vote here. As a game though it holds up fine-- maybe after playing later Tales games you get spoiled by certain mechanics in later entries I don't know, but I thought it was still great.

I'll have to replay it again after playing a few of the newer ones.

I peaked at around 12 million but I never actually ran Cactuar Dunes until the last time. All my GP was just from playing the game and selling a bunch of candy from that Halloween candy event a year ago. Enhancements + expeditions made my GP reserves tank pretty rapidly though.

Yeah Tilith getting a bunch of numbers popping up is what made me wonder. I also feel like X-Death's auto-regen has piled up with Luka's thing before but I'm not sure.

I guess this will be easy enough to test once I get 9S's TM. It would be pretty cool if each unique source stacked. Would make post enhancement Luka a bit more appealing to use, as right now I don't see a big reason to bother if I'm also going to be bringing 9S's TM.

So random question how do regeneration effects stack? Do they stack at all? I was just noticing my Tilith was getting an absurd amount of MP back every turn with Renewal, Auto-refresh, and TIdus's Blitzmania, and I was wondering if in combat effects stacked at all. Like Luka has a 20 turn regeneration at some point would that stack with the 9S TM? If you used Tidus + Ramza in the same team would you get MP Regen twice?
