While I wish it didn't have to be this way, as long as the variants are only ravaging the unvaccinated I dont give them much care .

And yes, it raises the chance of mutation to beat the vaccine, but right now it is spreading among groups that were going to get covid eventually anyway.

Sucks most for kids age 0 to 11 and those with compromised immune systems. But I'm not sure a path existed where it would get better for the latter group.

This has absolutely nothing to do with getting beyond this with case levels where they are at in most places at this point.

Unless we are checking vaccine records at the door most places should maintain masks indoors for now.

So two of my coworkers are confirmed positive coronavirus cases after being fully vaccinated > a month. One of them ended up being hospitalized ughhhhh

Yeah a lot of the difference is that the mRNA vaccines were undergoing large trials in an environment where covid was less prevalent and we had less virulent variants.

I'm two weeks from Moderna dose 2, which means right now I'm near maximum protection from Moderna dose 1.

Got a call for a backup dose at a local CVS.

Moderna dose 1 get.

So happy right now. Second dose scheduled for the 23rd.

I'm not sure why he stood up for this one in particular. I'm too tired to do math without mistakes right now but I can tell you that with the numbers we have you aren't getting 10 million people so left of bernie that they want to cancel him, and likely not even close to that left of bernie even.

(Tony himself is arguably right of Bernie even)

That isn't even getting to how bad the math gets when you need them to not just be on the left but also being progressives.

Thats less than 1 in 30 of the population, and I dont know about you, but when I talk to Liberal/Progressive people who arent brain-poisoned by political social media, many of them are way further Left than any active politician.

25% of that is under 18.

40 percent of the remaining is completely apolitical.

Approaching 50 percent of the remaining is mid to right.

The math isnt there.

I'm thinking there are guides out there that would allow winning significantly earlier. Or just having a lot of knowledge of the game beforehand. I know personally I probably didn't have great understanding of the game til like run 8 or so. And it would be a good bit after that where I wouldn't feel compelled to hunt for keys and darkness. Probably win a lot earlier if my goal was solely stock up on boons.

We're at about 7% of the population with at least one dose, it doesn't feel like much but it is still a sizable chunk of the population. I'd like to think it's already had a non negligible affect on our case numbers

There was a lot more on the ballot than president, and I didn't go vote in person. In fact, I wouldn't have voted at all if in person voting was the only option this election.

If you chose to no vote on the presidency I hate to think about how you'd vote on other issues. Doesn't make it any better.
