I felt much more guilt than I did pity for myself, trust me. Mostly I just felt like an idiot for getting in that accident in the first place before getting reinsured. It was obviously my fault for getting myself in the situation I was in, but that doesn't change how utterly absurd it was that I couldn't even get a work license in the meantime. This is the part I'm talking about when I say "the justice system fucked me over." Not the part about having to pay the people who I ran into without insurance - that part is 100% the correct thing I should have had to do.

Financial Independence doesn't come from repeatedly betting on black. I'm not saying you're gambling per se but putting some of your gains into stocks with proven reliability that can sustain you to some level through dividend or sold covered calls should ultimately be your endgame I think. I suppose you can "fake" that by just blowing up your account to several millions of dollars in value but I feel like you actually have enough for financial independence with 6 figures if you're smart with it.

BTC is now my 4th biggest gain behind SPCE, GME, and CAR. I really should have put some in ETH yesterday. Vacillated over it a bit too long.

There is still time. ETH runs behind BTC and is poised to explode this year even more.

I'm more bullish on BTC in the very long term, but think ETH likely has the bigger upside this year.

As someone who probably won't invest in either, I feel like the Tesla BTC thing makes me think it has bigger upside. If a single other fortune 500 company follows suit its probably going to skyrocket

Okay, so I'm rethinking this expanding to 20 stocks thing. I think it's probably better to stick to 10-15 and cut out some stocks that I don't have that much confidence in. Some more work for me in deciding which positions to close but probably better for returns.

Airlines have been on a steady rise lately. Trying to wait for that watershed moment where they really pop and everyone piles on. Maybe the J&J single-dose vaccine approval? Or the next vaccine approval in general.

Definitely glad I bought into Delta when I did.

Has anyone joined me on the Z and SHOP money trains? Theyre not the sexy double digit gains (yet) but Im up around 4% in both since I got in yesterday, and I expect them to keep rising through their ERs.

This is going to sound incredibly naive and greedy, but its refreshing to see many of the mentioned stocks go up double digits in a single day because it puts into perspective for me to stop being content with 1-4% gains.

You should have bought AAL at like $8 when we told you to.

I dont think anyone told me to do get it at $8? I reckon it was first recommended to me when it was at $17 and change.

Was AAL even ever at $8 my 1y chart doesnt show it, not that I ever would timed it at its all time low anyway...

I remember when American Airlines went into bankruptcy at like 30 cents and I was juuuuuust getting into stocks and I dropped a cool $2k on it and got out at 5x profit, and I could have stayed in for 100x profit if Id known how to HODL lol.

AAL is an easy double bagger eventually. Why would you sell a recovery stock like that for a loss? I'd only do that if I saw some opportunity I had to get in asap, I guess.

I'm hoping for a dip back to 15, then I'd hop on that train and hold til 30. Haven't been keeping up with the company, but I imagine it probably hits that by the end of the year.

AAL is the least profitable among all the airlines. Also, look at its 1y chart. Youll notice it hasnt surpassed where it was back in June, aka when I bought it. I held onto it for like a month and a half but it just kept dropping. I do not regret selling it. I was able to use that money in other stocks that otherwise would have been chained for, well, to this day.

It got down to $8.25 in May, but I think most people bought the March dip if anything.

Fair enough. A 9k loss seems pretty hefty though. I would have taken the opposite approach and just averaged down.

You can aways dump it then. Just sell the underlying asset at the same time

That's not really how it works. Capping your gains at a small percentage without capping your losses at a small percentage can lead to actual losses across multiple trades.

I sold the rest of my ENZC. Too volatile for me today. 120k total account value looks good to me. Took some of that money and put it straight in the bank.

I'm thinking of buying a house soon. So I want to unload about 30k in the bank soon to have down payment money.

But maybe I should seriously consider moving to Florida before getting a house here!

depending on what you did you might be better off trying to roll the call to a higher strike price but it's hard to tell without exact situation
