Why did Monica think it was possible for her to go through when the rover couldn't? Why didn't she take her helmet? It all came across as "Well, we just kind of HAVE to give her superpowers right now, just have her do something that would in any situation would be really dumb".

I saw someone suggest that it was gonna be Agatha Harkness a few episodes ago and I knew right away that they were definitely right, but oh man the reveal is awesome

The commercial was fantastic.

Hmm, from reading the Marvel wiki, Agatha Harkness is mostly a good figure, right? I do wonder what her end goal is here, even if she's pulling the strings.

Yeah Agnes being the villain has been obvious for quite some time but the reveal was really, really great.

Now all that's left for me is to see if Vision can actually be saved when they finally leave the hex, and how they're going to tie in the idea of the multiverse into this (I mean, they have to right?). I would assume Agatha is from the multiverse and that's why that was her version of Quicksilver.

I wish this series dropped all at once or I stayed off the internet for a straight two months to avoid all the rampant speculation cuz inevitably some of it will come true

This was a great episode, wow. What a way to deliver a plot twist.

On the subject of Agatha, my guess is that she has lost children in the past and is manipulating Wanda to try and bring them back. This would explain for the children, why she killed Sparky (to goad Wanda into bringing him back to life), the various weirdness regarding the twins and so on.

i think a big reveal loses some of its impact if they've already made it super obvious what it's going to be, yes. the end of the usual suspects wouldn't be nearly as good if they made it super obvious throughout the movie that kevin spacey is keyser sze, rather than dropping subtle hints.

I agree and was underwhelmed by the reveal. Nothing wrong with a twist seeming obvious in hindsight, but it shouldnt be obvious beforehand.

I think its very difficult for them to write a twist like this in a way that doesnt make it predictable for the very engaged with comics part of the audience unless they make it come completely out of left field with absolutely no foreshadowing. People online were predicting that Agnes would be Agatha before the show even began just based on her name and looking at potential characters associated with Scarlet Witch.

I liked this ep! Agatha All Along was great, they successfully threw me off last week with Agnes' scene there. It was very obvious this week where it was going but I like how they did it, and I can't wait to watch Hahn ham it up for the final two eps. The Monica stuff was lame as hell though, her running through the portal was the most cliche superhero nonsense and I feel like she's gonna help save the day just because the plot demands it. I know I said I'd stop moaning about the SWORD stuff but they're in Westview now so it's hard to ignore them! Hope they don't abandon the sitcom concept entirely next week, it really helps distinguish the show from the rest of the Marvelverse and they've done such a good job styling it to this point.

Very curious about the twins, I assume they'll stick around and Vision will fade away but I do wonder what their deal is. Also the real spoiler was Evan Peters being in the credits before he actually shows up in the post-credits scene lol

I haven't seen that many MCU films but of the ones I have she is instantly way more captivating and fun to watch than all of them.

Okay, I feel dumb. I just finished the episode. Can someone explain the Agatha Harkness twist?

Is she a villain built inside Wanda's world for the imaginary viewers?

Or is she some sort of sentient witch that has been playing around in Wanda's world without Wanda's knowledge?

What about her actions make her a villain persay? Leading up to this episode, I was thinking Wanda was the villain and the Sword guy trying to get back Vision's body as some sort of Gaston-like character.

yeah, in the comics, she started off as a supporting character in the fantastic four comics. i'm not an expert on her so i don't know if she turned evil later on.

I think the fact that the twist was guessed beforehand is what makes the execution of the twist important, but they absolutely nailed it and its a fantastic scene and reveal. If they had just ended it at her revealing herself, that might be underwhelming, but the song and Hahns performance really elevate it and add to the impact, and they layer in the additional reveals that she is why Herb was acting weird, was faking when talking to Vision, and killed Sparky.

I expect that this was all part of her plan to manipulate Wanda for something. What that is, we dont know yet, but the theory shes trying to get Wanda to resurrect someone is a very solid one I think.

I think its about making and stealing the kids. The concept of Wandas kids being super powerful is something that comes up in comic storylines.

If she wanted Wanda to ressurect someone shes out of luck since Wanda probably doesnt have that power.

Tbh I just want to watch the Agatha show now. Fuck WandaVision. That's the good shit.

Episode was fine but...man, I felt they were really struggling with the Office/Modern Family sitcom format. It felt off, and not in a way like they intended it. Did not expect this show to give me more respect to the interview cutaway trope but here we are!

Also a little bummed that Pietro was absent but they got me with the stinger. I have officially moved into "just want more of the villains" territory lol. They're good

Yeah, I agree that the Modern Family style was used pretty weakly here - it didn't really feel like they had the same sort of enthusiasm for capturing that style as they did for, say, the first two episodes, or even last episode's Malcolm in the Middle homage.

I feel like this is definitely going to be our farewell to Vision by the way - I don't think he can survive this story and not end up completely undermining its themes. Wanda is going to have to move on for this story to reach a conclusion.

oh I thought it was pretty great. Elizabeth was doing an excellent Julie Bowen impression, and Vision did a Jim face. Agnethas I bit a kid once cutaway was legitimately funny too.

Yeah, I feel like that's what this episode was setting up. Wanda has to be able to accept that Vision as she knows him is gone.

I didn't really enjoy this episode. I think it meandered for way too long and the reveal was pretty straightforward, which this show hadn't been up to this point imo, so to see it go there is kinda disappointing.

Darkhold could be interesting because that would be a tie-in to both Agents of SHIELD and Runaways, but it'll probably stay vague like that.

Also I'll take Paul Bettany in anything ever thank you very much. "I'm so sorry, we were double-booked by the agents!"

this was probably my favorite sitcom pastiche, actually. i thought they nailed the style and they had plenty of funny jokes. vision getting agitated and leaving his interview was hilarious. i also liked wanda's meta "wait, you're not supposed to talk" joke.

nice reveal at the end that agatha was wanda's interviewer even though the voice we heard was male, btw.
