I'm happy for Secret of Mana to get any attention, but I love it's 2D look so much, so I dunno about this.

It'll be interesting to see what some of the minor characters look like, some of those sprites were difficult to read in the original.

also this kind of looks like FFIV DS visually and it makes me sad they didn't continue remaking the SNES FFs

Of course I am! Based on the trailer though, its just seems like a graphical update, similar to Adventure of Mana, and that was only $15. I suppose that one was just a port of an iOS version, but still.

Meh. When I first saw the topic title, I thought it was confirmation that the Mana collection for Switch was being ported over to the US. Now THAT I would have been really excited about.


Instead, just a 3D remake of Secret of Mana for PS4? Meh. Not that exciting.

It looks like they're not going to be adding in all the stuff they had to take out when they went from CD to cartridge, which is kind of a shame. I'd be willing to wait 6-12 more months if they actually fleshed out the rest of the plot.

Still, this'll be nice to have on my Vita.

Voice acting is a surprise, one of the things I didn't like is how Randi and Purim barely spoke after the fire/ice palace so hopefully they won't become blank states halfway through the game.

I would've vastly preferred HD sprites

I don't dislike the art style or the fact that they're chibis but I dunno, it just feels like theres a cheapness to the models. I can't put my finger on it.

Wow. I'm excited about this. Very much so. Except I wonder if it will still have the same fun factor. Nevertheless, I'm probably going to get this on Steam, unless the reviews are terrible.

There are new ideas out there, it's just that nobody's willing to 'risk' funding them when they think reviving something that's already proven successful once is more likely to make a profit.

It's one of my favorite VG remix albums. Even if you don't like metal remixes (the most common style), there are lots of other styles in it. Not only that, but every single track from Secret of Mana is found in this album.
