A McDonald’s cashier is facing an attempted murder charge after giving birth to a boy while at work and then trying to flush the newborn down a toilet inside the Redwood City restaurant, prosecutors said.

Sarah Lockner was working as a cashier at the McDonald’s restaurant on Chestnut Street on the evening of Sept. 4 when she complained of stomach pain, according to the San Mateo County district attorney’s office.

During her night shift, prosecutors said, the 25-year-old Redwood City woman visited the restaurant’s bathroom multiple times, to the concern of a co-worker.

When the co-worker entered the bathroom to check on Lockner, prosecutors said, there was blood on the floor.

Lockner tried to dismiss the bloody mess and blamed it on a heavy period, prosecutors said.

But Lockner’s behavior had drawn the attention of a second co-worker, who also decided to check on her.

The second employee walked into the bathroom, peered over Lockner’s stall and “saw a newborn baby face down in toilet bowl,” prosecutors said.

Lockner had her hand on the baby’s back, according to the district attorney’s office. The employee then heard the toilet flush.

Lockner pleaded with her co-worker, asking her not to call police, prosecutors said.

Police arrived later to find the baby in Lockner’s arms, San Mateo County Dist. Atty. Steve Wagstaffe told the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday.

The baby had no pulse and was not breathing, so officers performed CPR and rushed the infant to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, he said.

The infant is alive and in stable condition, but the extent of the baby’s brain injuries was not known, Wagstaffe said.

Lockner claimed she didn’t know she was pregnant, prosecutors said.

She has been charged with felony child abuse and inflicting great bodily injury, along with the attempted murder charge, prosecutors said.

Lockner is scheduled to be arraigned in San Mateo County court on Sept. 18. She is being held on $11 million bail.

Okay so according to diagrams the equation for the first box should be F(worker) - F(box2) = ma

Or, 3 - F(box2) = 4.2a

Then the second box should be F(box1) = ma, Or, 3 = 1.6a?

So since a is shared, a=1.875 and if you plug that back into the original equation then F(box2) = -4.875

Except apparently that is incorrect, a=0.54 and I dont know what i fucked up

Yeah, I took the Force(3N) and divided that by the combined masses to get an acceleration of 0.54. If I'm wrong, then I do not deserve to be a physics major and I'll drop out immediately.

Base destiny 2 is a tand bigger (or smaller can't remember) than current d1

The question marks all seem to be around design choices they made, mainly the weapon system class system and pvp system.

2017 blew its load way too early. All the good games came out between January and May. Summer was trash as usual unless you had a Switch. At least Sonic Mania was great.

The rest of the year isn't shaping up to be too good. Not to be a weeb but what the West has lined up can't even compete to what Japan put out. Destiny 2 isn't worth buying until the full edition is released. Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty is the same shit we've been playing for years. Battlefront ll might be solid. At least Wolfenstein will be good. At least we get Odyssey, Metroid, and Evil Within 2.

You exclude the Switch as if it isn't a console. It still had games and those all add to the awesome 2017 releases TC was referring to.

Besides, there were a few good releases. Injustice, Prey, Tekken, FFXII (in actual playable form), Ever Oasis, Fire Emblem, Pyre, Uncharted, and then all of the Switch games like ARMS, Splatoon, and Rabbids.

Plus we still have Mario, Destiny, Battlefront, The Evil Within, Wolfenstein, and Assassin's Creed. But the end is definitely far worse than the beginning by far. 2018 looks to be the same in that regard.

Well you said "unless you have a Switch" as if that lessened the impact, which is why I said that.

Except it didn't lessen the impact at all. If I were to say that X was a bad month for games unless you had a PS4, would that lessen the impact of the PS4? No, it wouldn't. I'm not even sure how you could come to that interpretation.

There just isn't a good stream of games coming out right now. The first few months of this year went actually really well but after May, there hasn't been too much stuff which is normal for Summer. However, looking at what's coming out for the rest of the year, there still isn't much in my opinion which is disappointing but maybe it's just me.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, president of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach explained the Games had recently made a push to bring in new sports that appeal to millennials, such as skateboarding and surfing.

Given the recent rise of esports with young people – a demographic the Olympics has been losing in recent years – it makes sense that the committee might consider bringing them to the Games as well. However, despite the popularity, it's currently being cautious about making the jump.

"We want to promote non-discrimination, non-violence, and peace among people," Bach said. "This doesn't match with video games, which are about violence, explosions and killing. And there we have to draw a clear line."

The president certainly has a point. A lot of popular esports have some form of violence as a main game mechanic. Currently a lot of the top esport games are either fighters or first person shooters. The latter especially is not exactly in line with the Games' initiative of bringing the world's countries together for a week of celebration and sport.

That doesn't discredit esport games more in line with the "Olympic values," or video games closer to games already in the Olympics, though.

"So if ever somebody is competing at playing football virtually or playing other sports virtually, this is of high interest," Bach said. "We hope that, then, these players are really delivering sports performance."

Despite these hesitations, the committee is certainly talking about bringing esports to the Games, perhaps even to the 2024 Paris Olympics, though Bach says it's too early to say anything definitive.

"These discussions are going on. It will still take some time because this industry is now shaping itself," he added. "It's a successful industry, but it is not yet really established in an organizational way. ... You have to have somebody who is guaranteeing you that these athletes doing video sports games are not doped, that they are following technical rules, that they are respecting each other."

If it can make it work, esports could be a lucrative addition for the Olympics. The esports industry has seen a meteoric rise in the past decade, making an estimated $500 million in total revenue in 2016.

I have never seen a woman with the body shape of Chloe Grace Moretz in my life. I have seen women bodybuilders on the internet who look odd but obviously put a lot of work into their body and yet they still maintain feminine features like their hands remaining small and not so veiny, and their shoulders still seem pointed and narrow. But in all my life, online and IRL, have I never seen a female like Chloe Moretz. Her body looks like God mix and matched a broad shouldered teenage boy and a 16 year old girl. He took the hands of a feminine woman and replaced them with hands of a steel worker. He took the non existent lats of a young woman and slapped the lats of a 18 year old male who just completed the entire stronglifts routine.

Is this why she can't get roles anymore? Not even Marvel want to hire masculine women to play their main superheroes.
