Microsoft just decided to have a much higher volume of shares out there through things like stock splits. A company like Amazon has a lot less volume out there, so their individual stock price is over $3000. All the food they threw out was because the food went too long with no refrigeration and was no longer safe to eat according to the regulations. They literally could not give it away or else they were breaking the law. They would be on the hook if someone got sick. I had I think 8 classes back then with around 20 students in it on average. Meaning I'm in contact with like 160. Everything in Texas is built to run just fine in extreme heat, but not extreme cold. Gas wells are freezing, pipelines are freezing, wind mills are freezing, and a lot of natural gas is also used to heat homes, not just generate electricity. This is all because of a massive natural gas shortage, which is why natgas costs have skyrocketed from $3/mcf to $600/mcf in like 2 days. --- Hello world! |
