Basically their broker Merrill Lynch was not selling their stocks when they were told to, and were instead buying other stocks (w/out telling anyone) that Merrill Lynch had a lot of interest in to pump up those stocks. Then the market shit and they lost everything. They sued, and I remember it was like 2 years of depositions, lawyer meetings, court cases, they had to go on the witness stand, etc. In the end after taxes/lawyer fees, my parents got a $30k check and their friend got like $1 mil back. Halo 5 was just a terrible mess when it came to story. Sounds like Halo Infinite had the same problems and when they brought in a one of the original storytellers from Bungie to lead the project, he realized what a cluster fuck the plot was and put a massive delay on it. --- Hello world! |
