Okami is a love-or-hate type of game, like XC2

In the original PS2 release, you could not skip dialogue or cutscenes on a new file, but the Wii release and I believe the HD version as well let you skip all that

I advise skipping the intro cutscene(s), because you'll end up hearing all that shit several times while playing the game anyway, and it takes literally 20 minutes to sit through because of the slow as fuck text

My favorite part of the game is the second third (Ryoshima) which takes a long time to get to from game start (probably 20 hours)

If you're into Zelda likes, this one is probably the best of its generation

The game I've put the most hours into is Pic a Pix Deluxe

If you don't like Picross, this is not for you

If you do like Picross, this is like if Picross had a billion puzzles (instead of 100), with most of them being multicolor

Most of the game's content at this point is in the DLC, since the base game released over a year ago and has had new DLC drop every two or so months

My major gripe with the game is that there's only one music track, and it is terrible. I play with the audio off, lol

Super Metroid is beloved by the same group of people who love Zelda ALTTP: adults who played it as children. The fans of this game have enormous nostalgia goggles on 24/7. Fusion, Zero Mission, and Samus Returns are all heads and shoulders above it, not to mention the Prime games which are in a league of their own

Zelda OOT has been surpassed by every subsequent 3D release. I say this as someone who played it at launch as a child

The Oracles were the best Zelda games until BOTW released, and still have the best dungeons in the series

Soul Blazer is the greatest SNES RPG

Crystalis is a must play for RPG fans

Lagoon is also a must play for RPG fans, just for entirely opposite reasons

FF4 is better than FF6, except for the final boss themes

Dancing Mad kicks the shit out of One Winged Angel. Don't even @ me, you're just wrong if you think otherwise

Xenoblade Chronicles is a great game with trash sequels

Artifact has limited appeal (as do card games in general) while also having to compete with bigger, established titles (namely Hearthstone and Magic) for its market space

The big question Artifact needs to answer is, "Why should I play Artifact when I can play Magic?" And to be honest, I don't think there's a compelling reason aside from the novelty, which wears off quickly

There is a new oot hack called nimpize adventure that is a huge change compared to base oot it just came out recently but it looks really good

Been playing this, it's ok. There are a few design choices that seem to confuse "difficult" and "annoying"

For example, you're stuck on 3 hearts and one fairy until you beat the first dungeon. There's a room with Gerudo (the ones that actually fight you) and lava floors that you have to navigate without dying. Unless you do perfect backflips, you're forced to take a quarter heart damage every time you touch lava. To make matters worse, the first look at the room will lead you to believe that you must kill all the Gerudo to open a barred door (thankfully, the designer was not quite that sadistic)

Another thing is how several of the puzzles are designed to make you run across a room a few times to pad it out (hit an eye switch to spawn some platforms at the other end of the room, navigate them to reach a floor switch that opens a door back at the other end)

And I have yet to find a fast travel mechanism, and the path from spawn to pretty much anywhere is a long, boring slog (think Zelda 2). For example, to reach Kakariko from spawn you have to go through Zora's Domain, Lost Woods, Goron City, and Death Mountain Trail (there is no hub connecting the two)

Combine those with the fact you'll find several dungeons you can make progress in before hitting a wall (thus prompting you to leave and come back with item X), and the game becomes quite tedious

In a way, it's like if Zelda were classic Metroid, complete with scouring the world trying to find your next item and hitting lots of dead ends until you do

Personally, I don't much like that. I may change my mind as I play more, but at least the first few hours of the game are a bit grosser than they needed to be (I would say definitely not a casual Zelda fan hack)

Tbf, even a two colored limited deck has a hard time hitting those numbers

Not really. You plan for 17 lands in a 40 card deck, and you need 9 for 1C two drops and 8 for 2C. Even one dual land is enough to consistently play all your two drops and higher in two color limited, unless you're drafting harder to play cards like CC or 1CC (generally XCC should be in your higher drops where playing on curve is easier in limited)

Axiom Verge is one of those games where it's very apparent that it was done by one guy, because none of it quite reaches its full potential

I had way more fun with Iconoclasts (also made by one guy), though that game isn't quite as Metroid as Axiom Verge so some would say it's not a fair comparison
