It would be either Mortal Kombat on Sega when I would have been 6-7 or GTA1 when I was 7-9 I'd say? Depends on when I rented it. I can't think of anything else that would be earlier.

Was GTA1 the one where you could run over a line of these people marching together? Good times.

Mortal Kombat 2 or 3 was definitely first, but I don't remember how old I was. MGS was the first I remember at age 8.

My parents never gave a fuck. They bought me Mortal Kombat 4 with my PS1 when I was like 8, bought me Metal Gear Solid when I was 9 or 10.

actually, I do remember playing Mortal Kombat and Lesiure Suit Larry when I was younger but I never considered those "mature games" on the same level..duke was on another level with the blood, babes, and swearing its the first thing that comes to my mind

MK3 for the Sega Genesis I guess? It's the first one post-ESRB founding that got an M rating.

However, the first game I played that got a similar rating to an M pre-ESRB creation was MK2 for the Sega Genesis, which was rated MA-17 by the VGR. So 4 years old.

It's funny, the games that created the rating system, Mortal Kombat and Night Trap, both got a T rating when they got re-released not too long ago. Shows how over-the-top and scapegoatish the whole thing was from Congress.

Like 9 or 10 I think. Not sure what my first M-rated game was, though. Might have been Evil Dead for PS1, or maybe Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare. I used to rent lots of PS1 games from a small video section of a local grocery store.

Mortal Kombat was rated MA-13, the equivalent of a T rating. I think the reason it wasnt MA-17 like Mortal Kombat 2 was because it was rated without the blood code.

Does that include games that were around before ratings were implemented? If so, then I was probably...10 or 11 when I played Mortal Kombat at the arcade. What year did it come out? 93 or 94 I think?
