You deserve respect as a child's father and as a human being in this situation. I hope you find ways to stay mentally healthy as you move through this process - that can be a really tough hurdle, especially given the emotional toll this sort of separation can bring. There's also no shame in seeing a doctor about getting therapy when dealing with depression. What matters is your health and well-being.

I don't give a shit about her anymore. It sucks that my life has been upended and basically destroyed but whatever. Don't care anymore. It is weird that we had sex more times in the last 2 weeks than the past 5 years combined though probably. My damn stomach muscles have been sore as fuck all week from all the thrusting and nonsense going on.

So on a veer. Dating is weird. I don't even feel like I know how to talk to girls anymore now since I been with one so long. Part of me is like let's go I am getting too old and wanting to find someone to have a family with is a closing window. Other part of me is like I don't know how I feel about women right now. So whatever.

One girl has been all up my ass trying to get with me to the point of annoyance because she seems like all over the place. She also can't have kids anymore so that's a big ehhhhhh.

This other girl I liked seems to conveniently ignore any hitting on her, but did recently tell me she is talking to someone else so that's fine... (Though we have basically everything in common and are in the same exact stages of life).

There is a other girl from the past who wanted me bad when I was already with my ex, so I am gonna see what's up with her. I doubt she is feeling it anymore after being jilted previously.

Online dating is a literal shitshow. It's so monetized that they are practically worthless. Tinder is like nonexistent anymore for matching at least in my areas. So many bots. I was judiciously using likes but after awhile I said fuck it and just swiped right on everything. Still not a single match there. *Shrug*. Hinge seems like the best one so far, but I have only had a single convo there with a cute girl but she went silent. Oh well. Match is weird. I have probably viewed 10,000 profiles at this point and easily like 50 in 30 minutes as they come up, yet only 33 people have viewed mine over the past 2 weeks. They want money. I get it. But, *yawn*. 1 match and 3 likes there but they didn't send me a message so I can't see who they are to send them one. Oh well.

Pof seems like a ghetto version. Lots of wanna fun people. It's by far where I have matched the most. 1 girl I matched with there I had to politely tell her she was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen and can't possibly be in her stratosphere of what is acceptable to her and bow out. Matched with a few others there and it says a lot liked me but I haven't found them yet in swiping. So who knows. Pof is okay I guess.

Eharmony is the fucker though. So, they tricked me into paying for their website, and I instantly regretted it. They give you personality profiles and only let you talk to the people you match up well with. Well, nice I paid for a sub and have already exhausted those options already! Now what?! Lol. I did talk to one girl there, but pretty much all the other girls don't have subs themself so can't see me or reply to me. So, I get it's a scam to get you to sub. And I fell for it. Blah. Ironically the girl I matched the highest with on this site was the girl from above I said I had so much in common with but she is already talking to someone. Lmfao.

Rejoined my gym since my gym at work is closed due to covid. Starting that tomorrow. Played basketball the other day and was dominating like usual until I felt like I literally couldn't breathe anymore. My chest has been super tight and I have had a lingering cough for awhile. So might be why. I immediately quit smoking after that game just cuz that has to be playing a part in it. I usually only smoke when I drink so very rarely but all the stress lately had me chain smoking.

My cousin is trying to get me back into wow lol.

She still won't leave my house though she is almost all moved out now. Keeps citing new every changing reasons.

And, yes, I know my profile pictures are probably holding me back on OLD, but I don't really have people who wanna run around and take pictures of me.

And my cell phone doesn't charge anymore by wires. She destroyed the last bit of if that worked last week. So I bought some wireless chargers. They work but slow. I also was gonna buy a s21 + today but cricket said they don't support them. Wild.

The apps are insanely terrible. I tried them when they first came out during their "peak" (and my supposed "peak" too) and they were bad already, so I can't imagine how much they have degraded now. The only reason people use them is because they are very low effort and if you don't, you'll feel like you're cheating yourself out of that 1% chance. But after a few months it's easy to see they are not even worth the minor effort.

Going to 1 party or 1 mildly outgoing bar crawl totally dominates weeks of swiping and messaging. Obviously that's hard to do now, but when things open up soon it should be even better with more energy flowing around.

I would say their hayday was around 2013. I was going out with multiple women each week. Fast forward to 2019, nothing. 2021 is just as bad. The dating apps are literally useless unless youre a female or a male who is 10/10 attractive, has clout in his pics, etc etc. And even then, I bet it still isnt worth your time compared to going out in person.

But yeah, good move getting back into the dating game.

My younger brother has been killing it in terms of his career and marriage, but I feel like he's still upset because he became addicted to classic WoW, and so much of his free time has been funneled there the past year. He's gotten fat and is plagued with chronic back/joint pain after growing up quite athletic.

I understand that gaming in general can be horribly addictive, but god damn if there ain't something special about WoW. That South Park episode still rings true.

If you're dating that quick it feels like you're trying to replace her which isn't really going to work even if you've diluded yourself into thinking you're "over" her

You may need to work towards finding passion in other ways. You can naturally find a partner at some point in that journey.

Finding someone who is designed to replace a messy break up is almost certainly just going to stack on another break up which even with a short term relationship might not be what you need right now.

I mean I'm not saying become a monk, just that prioritizing it is probably not ideal
