She still hasn't left. Keeps making excuses and moving back the date. She has moved most of her stuff out. I noticed over the past few days she literally just took a shopping spree through my house and took all kinds of shit out of it that wasn't hers or was food and stuff from my kitchen. She says she cooks so she needed the stuff so she didn't have to rebuy it. I was like, yeah, it doesn't work that way. She took literally over $150 in spices if not more. And, was vindictive about it. Like, if there was salt that was low and another that was full... she didn't just take the one that was low to have some and left the full one... she took it all. My kitchen went from stocked up to literally barely anything in it. All sides besides a box of macaroni and cheese was taken. Almost all of my canned goods. Most of my plates, bowls, etc, which doesn't matter because she keeps using the ones I have and leaving them unwashed. Won't leave but won't clean or anything either. Just making more and more of a disaster. Like, you can just look around the house and notice how vindictive she was across the whole thing. Now, I know why she made a big deal that I be out of the house and she pack herself. I shoulda just tossed her things on the porch and called it a day.

Give her a deadline (in writing) and change the locks on that day. Hopefully you have something in writing on her giving you a previous date she will leave on just in case it gets messy.

She clearly has a place to stay (or at the very least store her stuff). The day is already going to be hard on you mentally already best not to prolong it any more than you need to.

Well, i know why she is doing this. She is living here for free and they keep prorating her rent until she actually resides there. So, she is saving money at my expense the more she can put it off. The fact she ransacked almost my entire kitchen besides the refrigerator stuff tells me that she probably doesn't have a refrigerator running atm. (She also is trying to delay until she has internet set up).

I fear what you're going through as a "worst case scenario" if I ever break up with my gf (though you've likely got it 100x harder because of the kid/custody). She's kindhearted by nature and has never seemed vindictive, but she does live in my place, and who knows how anyone will react if you trigger their survivalist instincts.

don't change the locks.
talk to a lawyer first.
be very, very cautious about any eviction processes because that will come up later in the divorce. document everything. figure out what's okay to record or not, i think PA's a two party consent state.

lock changing is often a bad idea so steer clear of that unless you've got a lawyer who knows his shit what circumstances that may be okay. especially if you two are fucking, that'd look horrible.

Dunno how I missed this post.

MMORPGs are all dog shit. I recently had to break off a 20 year friendship with a buddy because he was addicted to Final Fantasy 14 (this after being addicted to 11 and failing out of college because of it), to the point where even though he has a wife, he got married in-game to a dude and convinced his wife that they should meet the man he married in-game and turn an in-game marriage into this weird three-way relationship in real life. This would only be a thing with a girl that has ZERO self worth, because no woman worth being with would put up with that shit. If youre straight up emotionally abusing and cheating on your wife over a fuckin MMO, Im out.

That entire genre and everyone who enjoys it can burn, because Im convinced everyone who plays those games is a nutjob addict. Have you ever actually gone on Twitch and looked up the people who stream this junk? They all look like theyve been on psychotropic drugs for their entire life.

While Ulti is correct that there's a certain level of degeneracy and mental deficiency involved with a sizable portion of the MMO playing community, it is in fact possible to play and enjoy these games casually without them consuming your life. I've been casually playing FF14 since ARR with 3 of my friends and we are all successful in both career and family life.

Did you not read his story though? How could his story be true and not apply to 100% of MMO players?

And really, why does the story even need to be true? If you made it all up but feel it's true, isn't that good enough?

I got a Xbox Series X.

She is refusing to agree to anything. Refused to be served the court paperwork. Made me pay for a certified letter to serve her. Refuses to agree on a custody agreement. Making me pay for mediation. Refusing on anything across the board. Not because she wants something different. But, because she just refuses to agree on anything I say! Literally has not stated anything she wants besides "I want my kids to both go on the same weekend so I can have weekends without kids". Nothing else (which also is not at odds with what I proposed).

What I proposed is this...

In case interested at any point in an agreement, I would like something like this.

2-2-3

Mon Tues You - Wed Thurs Me - Fri Sat Sun You - and alternate the following week.

Pick ups would be the DAY of 6:30PM. Pickups responsible by party taking over custody that day. So Mon Tuesday would be pick up at 6:30PM Monday. Picked up by other parent 6:30PM Wednesday for their time. And then picked up 6:30PM Friday by the other parent.

If not already having the child on parents birthday, the parent can pick an 8 hour window to pick up the child that day unless otherwise agreed upon. If parent for Mother's/Father's Day respectively doesn't have the child, they can pick an 8 hour window that day to pick up the child unless otherwise agreed upon. If time cannot be agreed upon, it will be noon-8PM.

Parent that does not have the child on Easter, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Child"s Birthday, and Christmas Day can try to arrange a 5 hour window with the other parent to pick up that child that day. If time can't be agreed upon it will be noon-5.

Each Parent can request 2 weeks upon which they already have the child Mon Tues and Fri Sat Sun that week to become a full week Mon-Sun in the summer (defined as months school is out of session).

I think it's pretty fair.

I would definitely just follow your lawyer's lead on everything, including paying for a lawyer for her or not. She's being unreasonable enough that any judge would outright notice that and see you as the reasonable one without a doubt. Just let your lawyer handle correspondence with her. It's not worth you even talking to her unless entirely necessary.

If it was amicable and you wanted to pay for her lawyer so someone could coordinate the completion of paperwork, that's one thing, but in a disputed split, paying for her lawyer is just paying for someone to turn the shitty things she wants to do to you into actions, de facto paying for your own losses?

One of my closest friends paid for the lawyers in the divorce because of a financial discrepancy between him and his ex and because it was reasonably amicable and they had an idea of what they wanted already, and Judges look favorably towards that. I had suggested it only when Corrik was saying she was being reasonable.

Because she's clearly doesn't want to make this easy and simple, I would say don't pay for her lawyer, and I feel as though a lawyer wouldn't have any reason to recommend it at this stage either. But your lawyer should absolutely be the one doing all conversation about the custody proceedings and you should just direct her to speak with your lawyer if she attempts to talk to you about it. It'll probably motivate her to get a lawyer as well and make the entire thing less of a headache.

There isn't any paperwork to coordinate anyways. If she literally just signed an agreement, it would already be over with. She said outright she intends to do all she can to bleed more and more money from me in the process. Which I don't know why! All the money I spend can't be used on our child!

I'm sure you've been told this, but if there's anything tangible like texts saying as much, forward it to your lawyer.

She is very, very, very tedious in making sure she texts nothing. She calls and says anything like that via voice. She entered my house when I was at work and took some of my kids stuff the other day. Every last part of it she made sure she called. She also called me a psycho for pointing out that was two different crimes she committed lol. Not that I am the person who is going to use texts and shit against someone. But it does amuse me realizing she has been acting this way for years, and I only realized it now.
