It's not surprising in the least.

Fox tried to grow a backbone after the election and it backfired on their bottom line, making them realize there was no longer a financial market for a right wing news organization with integrity, and nobody on the left was going to watch them no matter how much they cleaned up their image.

Going further down the Newsmax rabbit hole is the only way they will survive.

So, uh... My fiancees mother made the decision to go Facebook status with her beliefs... And said how the storm is coming and now they are trying to get rid of OAN and Newsmax or whatever to try and silence the truth.

And someone responded... All you people said Foxnews was the only real news source and when they admitted Biden won the election you all jumped to these fake news QAnon media now and act like Foxnews is terrible all the sudden...

And... She no joke responded... Disney bought Fox months ago and they threatened their jobs if they don't go ahead with their agenda so the anchors are afraid to tell the truth now there.

The way I see it, the 2016 election was a battle of egos, and Trump's was bigger so he won. But the reason there was so much third-party support in 2016 is that people don't like egos, so in 2020 when Trump ran against a non-ego candidate he lost.

And just to clarify, under normal circumstances the new President grants the outgoing one permission to use Air Force 1 to fly home after the inauguration anyway
