I have never understood why people of any political stripe decry "-isms" in general. what the fuck does that even mean? the only interpretation that makes sense is that they have no guiding philosophy or beliefs, which isn't a terribly strong message.

This is the first time the Senate has met since the early morning of January 7. So, this is the first opportunity for him to make a floor speech about what happened on January 6.

I think there might be strategic value in severing Trump from the Republican party now instead of waiting if they are worried about infighting in 2022

If they think Trump Conservatisim is a losing play the sooner they detach from it the better

Hes always sucked. Hes been one of the main guys pushing this destroy the internet to try and force tech companies to stop moderating conservatives bullshit from day 1, and now hes finally moved into the spotlight by trying to overturn an election he absolutely knows was free and fair.

And hes not going to inherit the Trumps base. He doesnt share Trumps appeal of someone who can channel their intense sense of victimhood and grievance. He also isnt entertaining like Trump (which I think was a big part of his success).

you keep with the Trumps because regardless of impeachment Donald's gonna be a huge figure. Ivanka's supposedly eying Rubio's seat too so if they do, easy villain there and Rubio is an acceptable choice by both establishments so he's the hero of that tale.

though Ivanka does give less crazy, you do have a ton of crazy with that Q Anon lady in the house. she's a gimme for easy ratings.

right now the long game is tougher but definitely has to include Hawley who seems to be embracing his nomination as the villain. he's gonna get a ton of support from trump's base that hates establishment and corporate america because hey, he's literally the only guy you can say isn't part of either one. this idea of corporations getting out of politician's funding sounds like a great idea and i fully support it. let's have that aspect expand~
