Last time we locked down, my employer made us burn up all our vacation time and cash it out. For tipped workers like my gf and I, we lost out on at least 6-7$ an hour per vacation hour.
With Biden about to be sworn in, I'm sort of predicting another nationwide lockdown, especially looking at our covid numbers. My vacation time JUST re-upped and I am fuckin panicking trying to get it used up so I don't get it burnt up again. We really need to hope that vaccinations speed up a ton. We need around a third of the country vaccinated to cancel out the increased transmissibility of the new strain once that becomes the dominant one in the US (possibly in two months or so, from what Ive read).
