Yeah, Wanda and Pietro didn't know Mangeto was their dad right away. They were adopted. But that's also been retconned back when Marcel Comics were trying to actively kill X-Men and all mutants so who knows where they are going now.

I really loved how Billy and Tommy were dressed in the same colors that Wiccan and Speed's costumes are.

Its either a multiverse thing or some kind of fake out, but probably a multiverse thing. Wanda really cant resurrect her brother, so either she has subconsciously pulled this other version of him into the MCU or whatever actual villain is involved has done it for her as part of their plan.

Or theyre intentionally setting you up to think its the X-Men movie Quicksilver and it will somehow swerve that expectation because theres still four episodes and twists will still happen.

This might not mean much, but if you turn on Audio Captioning it states specifically that it's "the version of Pietro from the X-Men films". I don't want to say for sure whether that's meant to be literal, or simply the way the captioning decided to describe the scene. But if it's the former then that raises a LOT of awesome questions.

It's possible that the Evan Peters thing is just a metajoke and he's just one of the residents of Westview that she appropriated into being Quicksilver but I feel like it's possible that they're gonna do something more with it since they surely know what the fan expectation is at this point

I've never seen the X-Men movies so this reveal was slightly lost on me but it's really good lol. I actually got spoiled on it because before I saw the episode I saw "Pietro" trending on twitter and that told me all I needed to know

holy shit I just finished episode 5 and literally screamed and accidentally shut off the episode when X-Men Quicksilver showed up

this was already an incredible show but now it's somehow topped itself

Considering the MCU is more hits than misses on their characters i don't think its fair to judge him in the MCU based on his presence in the FOX X-Men movies

I hadn't seen the X-Men movies either - at lease not since X-Men 2 - but the actor looked vaguely familiar, so I looked up who he was. And once I saw his main role, my mind was completely blown. Now, I REALLY can't wait to see what happens next!

Also - I really hope they do a 90s style episode and it had better be themed to Full House.

Yeah, I thought that was weird, too. Maybe he just didn't want to say "Scarlet Witch" because "witch" has negative connotations because it seems like he was trying to bait him into calling her that.

I still kinda wanna point out here that Quicksilver was indeed explicitly identified as Magneto's son still in the X-Men movies. But whether that sticks who knows, it could be some multiversal glitch about him... but then again it's not like I'd be expecting FOX-Men Magneto to be joining this universe too so it wouldn't really matter and could just simply never be touched on again.

Okay I just realized something that really bothers me - when they're arguing about whether or not Wanda could have beaten Thanos on her own... how did they know that? Were they THERE? Why would they be there? Was the whole thing being televised somehow?

(Endgame spoilers, although seriously do I really need to at this point? This series itself is spoilers for Endgame) Related sidenote - it's weird to realize that as the un-snap is happening at the start of episode 4, the big fight against Thanos is almost imminently going to happen - like Monica is finding out her mom died at about the same time the Avengers facility is getting nuked

Okay, I'm going for it - Speculation - Agnes is actually the one mind-controlling everyone (Norm only ever says "she," not who she is) because Wanda may be able to do something she can't (like bring a dead person back to life, perhaps this Ralph character she mentions and we never see). She's also there both times the boys age up and (as I mentioned before) she has something potentially sinister to say about the dog just moments before it dies. Perhaps she was trying to manipulate Wanda into bringing the dog back proving it could be done using the grief of Wanda's twins as a catalyst. Only just before Wanda can, Vis shows up. Vis, who has been noticing how Agnes just happens to always be there when it's convenient, have what ever the situation calls for, and isn't actually being controlled by Wanda.
Meanwhile, Heyward would be more than happy to dispose of Wanda because he and SWORD were the ones trying to use Vision as a weapon (when Wanda bursts in they have Vis further disassembled as if they are studying him).

If you want to know what it was

Monica's power is energy and light manipulation, so the x-ray or cat scan or whatever that was messing up on her was a big tell. They also mentioned photons a few times outside of her mother's callsign.

The fight happened at Avengers tower so there is no doubt some record of what happened. Given the tech we see in Far From Home (all Stark tech developed before he even tried to come up with time travel), the Agents of SWORD probably have the ability to study the fight as if they were in it, and the general public would have footage and simulations of it from on-site cameras as well as media coverage that would have popped up very quickly in the situation.

I assume Iron Man, War Machine, and Rescue are probably running suit cams and recording anytime they're in the suits so I just assume one of them saw it and that footage has probably been reviewed over and over by government agencies. And you know the Avengers and everyone there was getting interviewed anyway so there's probably entire play by plays out there.

It is probably the case that there were still ways to record the event but the entire facility was LEVELED, nothing on the ground would still be recording

I do really like the idea of there being footage of the event though - I think it's funny the way that people in the universe itself fanboy out over superheroes in the way we do

Actually that response might still be a little confusing as to what I meant. I didn't know anything about Photon from the comic books, so when I heard they might have teased her powers in this episode I wasn't sure what it was.

I have since looked into Photon and it has also been explained to me.

Quicksilver could just be a random guy who's being made to play the role in the TV world. The casting may just be an easter egg for the audience and not of any plot significance.

Arrowverse shows do that kind of thing all the time.
