The pacing of this show was a bit off, and I can understand why people were put off at first. The first episode sets the bar for the wonderful performances of Olsen and Bettany and includes some of the best comedic and creepy moments of the show, like the choking scene. Just because the plot doesn't advance at 100mph for the first 20 minutes of the show doesn't mean it has pacing issues - it just means they're laying the groundwork for what's to come. They have to establish an actual status quo before they start tearing it down in every subsequent episode. I feel like people forget that in the age of binge watching. Wanda and especially Vision have been pretty underutilized in the movies (to the point that I always wonder if anyone who didnt read comics actually cares about them), so its really awesome that theyre getting such a strong showcase now.
