It's not so much the imperils I have problems with since I have Laguna LMR but with just how bulky these stupids bosses are. The savage modes just DON'T. FUCKING. END! on 4.5 million HP bosses, so you chain runs out, or your awakening/sync runs out because you have to waste turns rebuilding chain so you break the cap on the boss only to just get the middle finger and have them pop back to level 3, and when you're reduced to USBs you barely scratch the boss because you can't knock him out of savage mode besides OSBs which doesn't even matter since he'll just pop back the level 3 anyway. Oh yeah and there's the auto eject time limit as well.

I'm having problems with Emperor too, I can't kill him before the phase 3 auto eject because I can't do enough damage.



This game is just so frustrating now with bulky these bosses are, you mess up and then you gotta start all over, stall for meter, hope you dualcast in critical moment ect and then you waste hours fishing on RNG. It's just like... what am I doing wrong?!? Artifact weapons, sync + Awakening, realm chain, record boards, 200+ magia- yet I still come up short!!

I'm just waiting for powercreep on these dreambreakers, not going to kill myself trying to beat something that's such a pain. I still haven't even cleared the VII dreambreaker yet.

I've been trying to just get to 50% in the XIII Dreambreaker and that is one extremely unfair fight. None of that easy Ultimate Full Break stuff the newer fights have. Dreambreaker Full Break on turn 4, and another one at the beginning of phase 2, followed but Dreambreaker stop (with high mind) and a party dispel. And then he puts two characters to sleep as well. Holy crap.

Alright, I brought Raines below 20%. But then he went back over 20% with his Dreambreaker Curasa and I only got the sub 30% rewards. :/

Lightning's AASB1/AASB2 combo is as amazing as you've heard, expecially if you have both her doublecast LMRs. With that you have a 56.25% chance of 3 casts, 38.75% chance of 4 casts, and 5% chance of 5 casts. I also got great damage from her LBO without honing when I think he was on savage level 2. This one might actually be beatable with better timing, since I wasted two whole rounds before countering the phase 3 dreambreaker full break. Phase 3 is tough though when the AASBs wear out and I have just Lightning's sync (with the wrong element armor) to try to carry me through.

Yeah I know it would be easier to wait until powercreep, but those rat tails are so tempting, especially since they said that the historia crystal level cap will be raised to 120.

Aw yeah, I cleared the Cid Raines Dreambreaker. I got the first magicite draw ticket, used it on XIII, and got Vanille's USB4 (Elarra-type). Gave the Dreambreaker another try and with that fastcast it was enough to get through.

I gave Odin a try with my physical wind team, damn that guy is bulky! And anti-heal is rough. I had him just above 70% on my first try. I was using Tyro as my support because Cloud needs to be entrusted since he uses so much SB, and because Orran's fastcast is less useful with Zidane who has built in instacast. But I might need Orran to get around antiheal. Anyway, it seems like a fun new challenge.

Took down wind weak dark Odin. He was my last (not doing lolbio), so that was satisfying. Pushed him to phase 3 just before he started his quake spam (thanks Cloud), though Aeris died a couple turns earlier. His first savage elemental drive triggered last stands for cloud, zidane and Tyro (killed Faris), and then Zidanes AOSB went off (the third hit killed him thank god).

Likely going to bite on that half off banner, I dont have anything on it

I got Argent Odin to 45% just now, and that was with no chain from 70% to 45% because Zack died right before he needed to refresh it. So subbing out Tyro for Orran works. I think Zack would have lived if I had been smart and just spammed my HP stock commands instead of trying to get fancy and use his sync. I really should hone the awakening, but I just know I'll pull dupes in the fest if I do it now.

Have you tried the fight yet? Personally I'm having more trouble with staying alive than with doing damage right now so I'm not sure. It does seem like finishing him with with just the two awakenings I have (Cloud and Zidane) is going to be tough.

I suggest you try it out first since that will help you see what you need to beat it. That way you'll still have picks available... much better than taking something you don't need.

Alright, I tried Earth weak Argent Odin to help me make my sync pick and see if I need Rydia. I got him below 20% with a team of Red XIII (Chain/Awakening/HA), Rinoa (Sync, AASB1+2+HA combo), Maria (Awakening/G+/USB), Elarra, and Cait Sith. I wasn't too convinced Red's HA would be that good because the imperil only lasts for 5 seconds, but it's actually nuts. With doublecast (from awakening) and quickcast from Allegro and Elarra USB, he gets plenty of imperiling. I'm not sure how much of an upgrade Rydia with Sync+Awakening would be over Maria with just awakening. I'll probably try a few more times and see if I can do it with what i have before making my pick.

What should I grab for my awakenings? I have 2 picks. Ones I'm considering:

• Edge - I have his sync and he's viable in 3 elements both magic and physical. Seems strong.
• Galuf - Have his chain, this lets him contribute damage for Odin and Dreambreaker.
• Terra (wind) - Favoritism, and she can combo both awakenings to triplecast her HA. This would be mostly for magic wind Odin... but I do already have awakenings for Fujin and Ultimecia, she'd be replacing one of them.
• Aerith - help with Dreambreaker, and maybe as a healer for Odins
• Garnet - She is my lightning magic chain wielder, let her deal damage
• Other healer for DB?

Any thoughts?

Good point. Still a decent combo but not as good, I think I can rule her out. Forgot to mention Zack is a contender for helping with Argent Odin and Dreambreaker. He might actually be a top option.

Nice draw. I got Edge's G+, which I was excited about until I realized he has two and I got the elemental weakness one not the tri-element one.

I still haven't figured out what selections would actually help me. Although I do run out of awakenings in the Argent Odin fight, my main problem seems to be staying alive rather than dealing damage. Cloud's sync would let me get started earlier though so that might do it, but I'm reluctant to spend my only sync pick there. Zack's awakening would get me some extra damage, just not sure it would be enough.

Cloud's sync truly is nuts, just using USB2>USB1>Sync and using Orran's BSB command 1 on Cloud destroys Titan and consistently sub30's him. When dualcasts activate I almost sub20 the poor guy.



Got my 50 magicite kills and my last 3 tickets, I'm gonna use them on FF1 since that Dreambreaker is getting close.

Did you have his awakening before? I doesn't look to me like it does much his awakening doesn't do. It's his USB1 that's nuts and it turns an average awakening and sync into amazing ones. Unless I'm missing something.

Having max infusion and a six hit command are pretty big deals on a character like Cloud. I don't have his awakening but the infusion and command are alone to make him crazy OP, and I've seen a lot more Titan sub30's happen after his sync was released.

Also gotta say Lunneth is really disappointing as a DPS even with his awakening. I got all the attack boosts on the record board and he still struggles to break cap on Titan. Either that or Ripping Storm must have a weak multiplier.

6 hits vs 5 doesn't matter much because Cloud's cap is 99,999 with USB1. The multiplier matters more and HA is 5.5 vs 5.4 for sync ability. The +50% ability boost is great but not THAT much better than 30% rank boost on the awakening. Triple infuse is an advantage for sure. I'm using his glint but that takes extra turns and extra SB gauge. So I guess it would definitely be an upgrade, the question is just whether it's worth passing up Noctis's ATB sync for it.

Ripping Storm does have a bad multiplier. I'd use Sky High instead if you can. Ripping storm is 0.85x4, ramping up to 0.85x5 and then 0.85x6 after 5 uses. Sky High starts out at 0.95x6. And Luneth's awakening gives zero air time which removes the downside.

Luneth also has 9% dragoon damage bonus from his dive (12% if you fully unlock the Sky High node). So that's definitely his primary role.

Finally beat this bone head thanks to getting Fang's LMR off the dream select and actually making her hero art which is so strong. Oh I also got her Awakening off one of those 6 tickets so she's total beast mode. At least I kinda like Fang I'd be upset if I had so much stuff for a bad character.

Earth walls so obnoxious. Weird fight because the only real threat for me at least was not killing him in time.

Also that's a bit strange on Luneth. My Gau who doesn't even have a record dive to use has no problem capping Titan unless he just started phase 3 (even Fang can't do it then) guess actually being Celerity focused does matter huh.

I took Noctis's sync because it was the most powerful option, and Edge's awakening kind of for the same reason. Noctis let me finally take down Shiva with a physical team. I still need to figure out how to do the IV dreambreaker, but Edge is very good with sync and awakening. I still have one more pick. I realized some of the chainholders like Galuf and Garnet have kinda bad awakenings, so I'm not sure they're worth getting.

Got Rydia's sync with the select. Also did the 15 mythril earth draw and got Tellah's chain and already had his awakening from a ticket (and emperor's tri element awakening from a while ago) so my earth magic team is surprisingly strong.

What surprised me more is that Emperor did respectable damage without any source of En-earth. Was capping those Ultimas. Should be an easy sub 30 with some refining of the strategy and Ramuh damage buff.
