Final Gilgamesh done! When I was thinking about how I could get enough damage from my XI team I remembered Shantotto has a lightning chain, so I just used Ashe as an off realm and it was pretty easy. 17/17 done, 15 full realm teams, TG Cid (I) and Ashe (XI) were my two off realm characters.

That's two down. Despite this looking like a cleaner clear than FFX this one was harder for me. More tough timings and such cause my FFXIII historia crystal is only 65 and I don't have everyone fully watered in this realm.

Also I actually used the turn timer for this one to avoid debuffs and stuff which made it faster.

So FFIV seems like it'll be a slam dunk if I commit resources

The problem is I don't really wanna give Rosa any resources and while I think it's viable to run that realm without a pure healer via stuff for Fusoya or Valvalis or Paladin Cecil I only have stuff for the latter

The second option is to use Ursula SSB as my secondary healing for Paladin Cecil with Sync+Glint+BraveUSB. That makes me feel better about myself but seems like it'll be needless irritation and I'll need to hone up running start for Ursula to be able to do her job well enough.

And I don't really want to build Ursula up either. But is Running Start worth building anyway? I already have Flash Disaster so seems a bit redundant...

I made Running Start. At this point I have tons of rubies and crystals though. But I think Running Start is better because it gets rid of the cast time of the thing after which can be a 2.5s soul break while Flash Disaster only gets rid of its own cast time (and it's about half as strong as other Celerity abilities that take 1.2s)

I got a dupe Ultimecia OSB. God it seem like the game is fucking taunting me now giving me dupes of stuff I got very recently.

I got two more Gilgameshes down. I had a derp moment with FF11 thinking I needed the historia crystal because I have Lion's Awakening and AOSB, but I remembered I used Ramuh for the torment since despite being small and neglected you can make a decent lightning team with Prishe, Shantotto and Lisette.

I also beat FF12 with a level 70 historia crystal, but Ashe, Vayne and Vaan are strong characters that they got the job done with it. With Penelo Awakening+USB2 Gilgamesh can't even kill this team anyway

Sephiroth Fire Awakening yesterday

Pretty good. Not sure I'll use him much in Magicite content cause my Auron is pretty buff but my FFVII team is pretty fire heavy with Vincent and Barret being two of my heavy hitters in the realm so running Seph fire there might be useful.

Got Locke's Awakening today, very nice!

I've tried the FF7 Dreambreaker a few more times but never gotten close to that first attempt. I think I should have done the dream select and taken Aerith's awakening, since my team keeps wiping (I think I got lucky with her medica chase triggers the first time). But too late now so I guess I'll just wait until until I draw something to power up my team. I guess I could also raise my HC from 90 to 99, but that's a lot of resources and I'm not sure if it would be enough so I'll wait for now.

17 Gilgameshes down. FF11 was the last one; I don't have any OSBs to break Savage with (and Shantotto AASB wasn't reliable) but En-Dark Wicked Press on Zeid did the trick, more or less, even at 0 charge.

Don't think I'll bother with Core Gilgamesh. Maybe if I had some kind of SB for Biggs, but I don't.

This is a fun event.

We should be getting the 6* ability buffs with tomorrow's maintenance, are there any you're looking forward to? I was planning to get Ultima because it can help quickly kill the tornados when I get around to doing Valefor with magic. But I recently learned that Omega Drive will now generate more SB than Lifesiphon. Since I still use Lifesiphon a fair amount I'll definitely be using that, too bad you can't make more than one copy. And the changes of Penalty Snipe and Quad Foul to be bio might eventually be useful when I get around to bio Odin.

AOSB and AASB honing was already confirmed in-game before the maintenance.

We're probably getting the ability buffs (all-element Ultima, super-LifeSiphon Omega Drive, Bio-damage on Penalty Snipe, don't remember what else)

Improved rewards on 6* magicites (including HP% rewards)

Fest events and other stuff

There might be more, that's just off the top my head.

Thanks to all the rat tails and cardia missions reset I finally enough rat tails to get the historia crystal to level 80 and finally beat the last Gilgamesh!

Man this one was the roughest. Feels like FF1 is always behind the curb, had to blow some *6 motes on Matoya and Echo just because they're so squishy!

PSA: If you want to get all your draw tickets fast, the nightmare battles are only 1 stamina and they're super easy now. The only downside is that you can't autorun them. I'm running Demon Wall (Crushdown) right now with my ice team.

I noticed it's now MUCH more worth it to finish all the 6* magicite with both damage types. You get something like 110 EX lenses and 540 6* motes now (along with the artifact stone and mythril that you always got). So I was trying to beat Leviathan with my new Lightning sync. I didn't quite get there, got down to around 3%... but I think next time I will get it now that I know how short the stop is, I will just put Lightning in slot 2 instead of slot 5 (where she was dying to doom right before being able to finish the fight).

But most importantly, with my new Ayame AASB I did XI Gilgamesh. And while I was at it, I also did my other remaing Gilgamesh fights (14, 1 and 5). All 17 are finally defeated.
