I ended up winning with a 40 flat. I had a Snow Awakening I wasn't aware of so I swapped out Aerith for him and got it done also with the help of dropping all of my big moves before 30%

I beat Physical Ramuh! He's still a pain but it's mostly because I lack glints for Galuf and Gladiolus (well a GOOD glint for Gladiolus since his 5* one is a heavy charge stack) so I had to stall and build meter in the first phase with Aerith's Awakening and HA so I could have meter to refresh the infusion at start of each phase for Gladiolus, kept Galuf paralyzed in phase two so Gladiolus and Ward don't lose infusion and stacked infusions with Ward's USB and then let loose with his Awakening about 40% of Ramuh's HP.



Glad I got those Anima Lens+ back since I bought Gladiolus' HA to beat Ramuh

Dailies from the past week - Squall Awakening! and a Mog SSB
Banner 3 - Tidus L-Glint, Vivi Awakening, Edward Awakening
Banner 4 - Gladiolus Chain, Krile Awakening, Orran SYNC

I'm now set for earth on both sides! Also, I heard Orran is godlike at this point but I don't know what gets him there (Sync+AASB? or just one of them? Is G+ required?) Lastly, on paper Edward's AASB sounds really good but dunno if it's actually good because A) it's Edward and B) I usually use Ellara if I want a bard in the party since I have USB/AASB combo plus her bard LM for extra healing.

Will probably do one pull on B5 and then go through all the tickets

How many awakenings/syncs did you have? I have Gladiolus's Sync/Awakening now but I'm still kind of afraid of Ramuh. My Galuf has nothing besides his chain (and old lensable relics) and my other options aren't that great... Yuffie's mediocre non-doublecast awakening, Ingus's awakening, or Bartz with BSBs + AASB1, I think that's it. Edit: I also have Cinque's awakening, forgot that one.

I have Awakenings for Gladiolus, Ward, Aerith, Galuf and Orran Sync. I stall until I have two bars on the DPS members (and I use the attack up LM2s, if I try to rush Ramuh with enEarth LMRs he diffuses Galuf and Gladiolus before they meter to refresh so might as well stall and build up some attack) Galuf uses his Awakening in the first phase, Gladiolus uses his USB1, and Ward stacks earth infusions with his USB. I also use Aerith's unique since it gives a party 50% crit chance buff.

Ramuh also feels a lot less threatening when your characters are 6* mote dived and have more HP than when I fought pre record boards, as long and you don't let him to savage level 3 at least.

While Orran is definitely good I think the main thing that makes him "godlike" is that he counters the gimmicks of the upcoming top end content. His sync counters DB Full Break. You can only do it once, but all future DBs only use Dreambreaker Full Break once and use Ultimate Full Break (which you can probably ignore) the other times. Bahamut will also use something like this I guess. Orran's AASB gives HP stock (6000 on entry and 3000 as a chase to every white magic/bard ability), and White Odin uses antiheal, which affects normal healing but not HP stock. Aside from that the only thing special about him is the physical quickcast ability - he's the only one with a spamable ability, but plenty of healers have soul breaks that give you lots of quickcast. Plus some attackers with Marche-like team fastcast triggers.

If you only have his Sync the only thing I would use him for right now is Dreambreakers... and Tyro is probably better for most of the current ones that have multiple DB Full break uses.

Kelger spams Grind to Dust, uses his Glint (which I purchased to clear this), then AASB and more GtD spam

Now I feel lousy for taking over 50 seconds on Ramuh, damn that stupid enelement damage reduction...

Still I got some new sub10s on 5* magicite for what it's worth.





I also tried to sub10 Syldra but I'll need good RNG for that because of high stakes and she's too fast to go without a healer, best time I got was exactly 12 seconds

Yay, I just finished physical Ramuh too. 40.67. It was a little messy but Gladiolus is a total powerhouse.

Seems like the game is totally borking my phone now though. Ever since I upgraded to Android 11, any time I leave or finish a long fight, the whole device completely locks up for a couple minutes. Anyone else having that?

When I try to fight Ramuh on my phone it lags like crazy when he uses the electric field and does weird stuff like show the UI during soul breaks or summons. I can fight him fine on BlueStacks.

I hear Valefor and Alexander make people's phones lag too, but I only fought them on BlueStacks.

Finished the whole Battle Square. Man that last battle was a lot of health to chew through. Most of the buffs I got were healing, no help to damage, so it was a bit of a slog. Had Cloud use USB1+sync then after that ran out, USB1+AASB and finished with AOSB. Zidane AASB, Zack AASB, OK entrust bot, and Aeris USB2+sync were the support.

Really need to get going on Gilgameshes, still have only done the one. Also, how much harder is Omega than 5* magicites?

Omega is significantly harder than 5* magicites, closer to Odin just a bit easier.

Also, went and retooled my BK team since I now have Red XIII SASB/AASB and tried it auto on speed 1. Killed him in 16.48. Let it auto run 3 times, got the exact same time. Perfect, gonna let it run while I'm at work so I can finally get some tickets. Not sure what to toss them at though. Fire looks great and has the least dupes, but my fire is fairly strong: Balthier and Vincent chains, Noctis sync, plenty of physical AASBs. Not many magic AASBs though, just OK and Terra

Of course, as soon as I say that, BK kills me somehow. Took the DC RMs off of Elarra and Terra, and it's a 16.48 kill on speed 1 every time now. So that was nice.

After fest ends (mainly Gregs and Omegas), I'm going to try and tackle the last 3 Odins (wind, earth, and dark weak), and then finally move on to 6* magicites. I have Cloud kit, Bartz AASB, Zack CSB/AASB, Faris CSB, Zidane AASB, and likely a couple others I'm forgetting, so I should be good for the physical weak version?

If you have Cloud's sync and Zack's chain you're pretty much already won against Physical Titan to be honest. Especially if you got Cloud's HA.

Got em. Wakka for Imperils and Entrusts instead of Dr Mog makes all the difference here. Can do the Rydia Ult2 + Sync + Awakening with that. The damage output is absurd when Eidolon King tri/quad casts + Tidal Flood + Trinity summon. I did nearly 30% hp in one turn with that.

I did magic Shiva yesterday and physical Valefor today.
Shiva was very easy.

Valefor was pretty hard though without a physical ice chain. My options were Serah, Fran's free chain, or the chain RW. In the end, I went with the RW chain, with Tyro AASB, Elarra AASB and Squall (AASB, Glint, USB2, AOSB), Kiros (USB, AASB) and Ayame (AASB, Glint, OSB, AOSB) as my damage dealers.

Ayame took out the phase 2 Tornados with her AASB and Frostfire Carnage, so I didn't have to invest in Squall's AOE hero ability.

With level 65 ifrit I now sub 30 Ifrit. Pretty good. Realizing I should put Chain Watera in slot 1 instead of slot 2 helped my damage a lot too. May just farm 8 even though the exp is prohibitive to have 2x level 99 magicite of each element just in case y'know

I did one pull hoping for Y'shtola's black mage kit, but instead I got Alisae's sync and G+. Can't spare any more mythril now, but if this stuff is in the next realm banner refresh I'll probably burn some tickets on XIV.

Decided to be lazy and go for Water Odin with the same thing (just gave Strago Dispel instead of Phoenix (he had that for Rydia first turn suicide vs pillars tech))

First Odin beat is nice. Would like to get 4 resist artifacts though. Will probably just use this team vs Omega too to see how it does.

Beat Alexander with my magic team, just lost one attempt because I forgot how the mechanics worked, and then won on the second one. Golbez's sync command 2 made it pretty easy to control holy power level (and I used Kuja's brave ability once). Four left to go: magic Ifrit, physical Shiva, magic Valefor, and magic Diabolos.

I tried Magic Valefor but that didn't go so well. Those stupid tornados have way too much HP! Can't even get to the third phase because I waste so much sync/awakening time on those damn things. I only have Rinoa's sync and 1 cast of cap break Shiva doesn't cut it with Lulu ultima.

I feel really tempted by the second FF14 banner because of Ysayle's Awakening and dualcast LMR so she can get rid of those tornados and I could potentially do the FF14 dreambreaker with a second mage DPS (though people have done it with less than what I have already, but I'm too stingy to use 6* mote dive characters I don't have Awakenings for) But I probably should just save those 23 tickets for the banner refreshes.

At least in the meantime I got a sub10 on Phoenix today!

They're adding syncs to a weekly event's banner 2 now but it's guaranteed 1/11 instead of guaranteed 2/11. There will still be G 2/11 banner in the future but those will be those random support banners.

Also I used Y'shtola glint+ for the first time today since there wasn't a Tyro in the multiplayer room I joined.

I didn't realize they were stopping 2g5 on weeklys completely, although I knew some of them were going to be step-up banners in the fiture. It's been a long time since I did a 2g5 banner 2 since the B1s seem much more powerful these days with syncs and stuff. But I still like the idea of 2g5 on banner 2 if they just raised the power level a bit. Oh well. With the stamps thing being part of the next 2 fests I'm probably going to be pretty much only drawing in fests for a while.

This fight is awful, and I am so not looking forward to the magic fight. Hell, I'm already dreading fighting him twice more for the lvl 99.

Feels good to be in the 8/8 club though, even if it's only 13/16 for now. Magic Leviathan, Magic Alex and Magic Diabolos remain.

Diabolos does suck hard, mine is still only level 50 because he's so stressful to fight.

Also if you're going to save up 500 mythril for the next fest you can get Rem's sync and wipe the floor with him (which I'll probably do myself)

Well, I finally have my physical ice chain! And added a bit to my magic ice arsenal. Physical ice is still limited to Celes and Squall, though I have Squall's sync+both AASBs, so that's helpful at least. Also, a 6*++ ice boosting sword, thrown (Edea's) and 6*+ whip (Seven's) should be helpful.

Fire weak: Noctis sync/AASB, Bartz AASB, Balthier chain
Lightning weak: Lightning AASB1/2, Noctis AASB, Prompto chain

I'm not really sure what I would take if I did the dream select. Zack would probably get me the sub 30 on FF7 dreambreaker but I should be able to beat it without him. Same for Aerith. Maybe Edge because I have his sync and he's a multi element monster in both magical and physical now.

FF VIII dreambreaker arriving tonight, I feel like I should be pretty ready but we'll see. Planned team is Rinoa (ice Sync/Awakening), Squall (ice Awakening), Laguna (Awakening / Chain), Selphie (Awakening, G+, USB), and Orran (Sync/Awakening)

Cerberus Dreambreaker is tough. No AI script posted yet makes it tougher. There are some back to back instant AOE attacks early in phase 3 that are really tough, those have been triggering reraise for the whole team which basically ends the run. I started out using Orran but I kinda need Tyro's crit fixing to let Squall/Laguna break level 3 rage consistently. But I definitely miss the fastcasting when I'm using Tyro. Also I learned the hard way that Rinoa's USB1 and glint don't work with her Sync and HA at all. Her kit's kinda awkward even though I have most of the modern stuff. Her HA's kinda weak too... compared to a basic 6 hit black magic HA like Maria or Ace has both a significantly lower multiplier AND slower cast time.

Multi elemental HA tend to have a drawback compared to solo elemental HAs like Ace or Maria's.

Man magic Leviathan is just pissing me off so much, too much crap to juggle and too little time to deal with it all. Feels impossible without Garnet or Desch's chain since I can't deal enough damage with the Elara chain to kill him before the time limit/Awakenings wear off, Prompto is dead weight besides his chain and you have to deal with 2 slots of 5 sec dooms. I feel really tempted to get Garnet's off the chain select but I don't think it's good idea to spend money for an "optional" boss when I already beat the physical version.

Cerberus's ridiculous Dampen Cold moves made me wonder if it was worth it to run an ice team, considering that I was also dealing with the trouble of a mixed magic/physical team. Rinoa is my strongest character in the realm in either element (I have both syncs and both awakenings) so I tried running a team with Rinoa using earth and Fujin and Ultimecia (my other two magic awakenings in the realm, who also both have solid USBs). On my second attempt I did 72% which is already 10% better than my best run with the ice team. Staying alive in phase 3 is tough though, I wasn't able to get Selphie's awakening (with the damage reduction) online fast enough. Either I use it in phase 1 and it runs out before phase 3, or I user her USB1 in phase 1 and don't get enough SB to use the awakening in time since I have to use her other USB to block berserk in phase 2.

Maybe Selphie's HA is the answer, but 1500 HP medica seems so low. I'm not sure if it's enough.
