Ah that makes sense then. I was thinking, AAL is up less than 30% in the last week, what other stocks could you have to bring the average up to 56%? With margin it makes sense. Very gutsy on your part.

Moonroof, this is how the market works - if you want to buy low and sell high you've got to start by buying low.

NKLA's big successes will be for big trucks. TSLA's battery tech is too heavy to be a good long term solution. Perhaps I have a fondness in my heart for them due to the moneys I've made on them.

AVCT getting murked today. Lots of robinhood chasers selling baggies like fools, most likely. Should've waited to get in on the warrants though but ah well. This stock has taught me patience. It's all imaginary for now. The CLOUD will rain money again soon.

I understand the concern. It's a tough predicament and I wouldn't want to buy a stock that's just posted a +8% day either. That said, travel stocks have had a pretty rough last 2 months and are still well below the June 8 high, let alone the pre-virus highs.

I haven't bought any biotech stocks because I have no clue whether each of them is going to succeed with their drugs or not. With the information I have, it would just be gambling.

As someone with insider knowledge on pharmaceuticals, I highly support your decision. The thing is that ALL of the data are made public way before they would have any impact on the market, so you're not even betting on drug approvals. You generally know if a drug is getting approved 2 years before it does. The bet is really whether these small companies get absorbed into a behemoth like Pfizer or if they work out a co-promote for their flagship molecule. It's all too sketchy.

Glad I impulse bought AAL last week. Russia vaccine news true or not should send it skyrocketing today. Good way to balance out my account while 70% of my money is in AVCT warrants.

As long as there's not a delay on AVCT ER (though very possible for a recently merged company from a SPAC) my account really will be 100k week's end. And this time I'm selling all of my shares. These discord guys are brilliant but our averages are way off, so we're just playing a different ball game. Hopefully I can keep swing trading AVCT for a while and have enough shares ready to sell when big name investors come a knocking.

I was in the process of moving most things over to travel, I figured I had all of August before something happened. Now my MRNA has lost a lot of its sex appeal. I thought we'd see Moderna phase 2 data before anything international popped up.

I have mitigated my sadness over Bernie not being President by putting my money into stocks that would not be doing well if Bernie could be President because people are deathly afraid of his economic policies ie no more free money.

I guess this is growing up!

Probably going to put some money back into AVCT this week, as I still think 10 dollar mark makes sense for them long term.

Would surprise me a bit if AAL stays above 14.75 all day, feels like a good time for a lot of people to sell off and run for the hills although medium term they shouldn't.

AVCT's low float spikes are insane, every time it gets more people on the radar so I think the spikes will be greater. The day traders and algos get to work fast. Hoping for over 14 again with their first real ER, we'll see! We can potentially get amazing guidance hyping plans for new acquisitions, their hope to be a 1 billion market cap company in a few years, and future UCaaS plans now with Kandy. Still kinda worried there will be a delay but if so I just buy more cheap shares and warrants.

When AVCT makes me a millionaire Moonroof will still be here asking me if he should buy :P

I'm holding because we've finally moved past resistance that had been in place for a couple months. Might be the time that things make their move past the early June highs. Will probably sell off some shares if we breach those and reallocate to another sector. But not that many as my travel allocation has already been reduced quite substantially over the last month.

Yeah holding over 1 year is really good on the tax side if you are showing gains. 15% vs. whatever your marginal rate is.

Haha. Alright! Im in AVCT. Be prepared for it to go down.

I went to put $25k in and accidentally put 25k shares. My heart skipped a beat, that wouldve been $160k! Canceled it asap and rectified it.

Just hold the puppy and don't panic. AVCT has completely changed my trading philosophy. Do your research and you'll be more than content going long. It's all paper gains and losses until you make the trade.

Hopefully since you just bought now ER isn't delayed, but if it is hold it until the release and watch your account value soar.

As my resources grow I will be getting more comfortable just leaving money into stocks. I have had a few misses but some of my issues is just slightly off timing on my judgments and moving money around. Been very successful so far but seeing some stocks I was big on go crazy let's me know I have a pretty good eye for detail.

Yeah I can totally admit I didn't see that particular dip coming and it made me feel a bit nervous for a bit, but I had a firm belief and just kept buying lower and lower. Now I am well into the green at current prices. I get being nervous!

You can't blame his advice for that. AAL is currently trading higher than its price on probably 90%+ of days over the past 3 months. Chris has been invested in for a long time. You just picked the worst time to buy in, during that one week in June when it spiked like crazy.
