I'm used to relying on my weight to tell if I'm making progress but I'm having to use my progress pics instead. I'm on creatine for the first time in years so I've put on water weight but not losing/gaining anything since like that first day. My tummy is going away nicely and I'm toning up a bit. This is the best shot at having a six pack at over 180lbs that I've ever had. The last time I had that I was like 160.

Progress by numbers: 2 1/2 lbs increase on my dumbbell press lol
I'm up to 2 hours a day on the elliptical and an hour on the row machine. Honestly, I think I'll top out there. I'm spending damn near all day working out/recovering now. I wish I could go harder instead of longer but history has taught me that's a good way to injure myself.

It's weird, I've been almost neurotic about tracking my progress. I take it way more seriously than my actual fitness even. I have monthly pics and spreadsheets with my weight, distance, lifts.

But like I said it's obvious from looking at the scatterplot that I didn't do much for about a month

have had a few days of no knee pain, but i can tell there is some weakness and that it could come back if i'm not careful. experimenting with 2 runs per day, and seeing if my knee likes this more than 7+ miles all at once.

one immediate advantage i notice about doubling is that i can mentally compartmentalize the day better. like pre-injury if i wanted to do a 7 mile day with a 5 mile tempo, i would end up hammering the 2 easy miles anyway.

this should be a good way to up my mileage without hurting myself because i'm too stupid to run an hour without hurting myself.

my prediction is they wont open up everything at once. they'll start letting more people go back to work in may. people who have wfh capability will continue to wfh. restaurants, bars will remain closed. large gatherings and events still forbidden.

i honestly do not think we will get an "all clear" until the end of summer when we have the antibody testing that proves everyone had it already, or if we cure the whole thing.

Hey man congrats. That's a little more than me and I've been trying to lose weight plus I'm fatter than you lol. I'm down about 17 lbs from when I started in early/mid-ish December but only like 12 lbs down since Jan 1.

I've definitely been eating healthier but we still have plenty of alcohol

Phone says I walked 20.9 miles, 36,485 steps. Iphone's default health app is surprisingly inaccurate, normally I walk the same route, but the distance in the app varies by as much as 3 miles. Lots of chafing, underarms, and thighs, ugh.

Looks like I start lifting this week. I finally reached my goal. I started at 305 lbs. and have reached 215 lbs. in 7.5 months.

I have most of what I need in terms of protein and food for the lifting, I just need a good routine to begin with.

I currently have adjustable dumbbells at my disposal and I'm starting at 16 lbs. with the weights and bar combined. It felt like the most comfortable starting point as opposed to 10 lbs. that felt too light and 20 that felt too heavy.

Recommendations for routines? I'm more about building strength and retaining dexterity. I don't need to be buff to the point that movement is limited.

They're not a regular part of my current routine but I have an elaborate setup using several chairs and a broom. I use high kitchen chairs stacked on top of each other and then put a broom across them. Then I start from a kneeling position. It's kind of awkward because it's not as stable as I'd like but it's workable.
