From what I understand, pro players think Inkling is top tier and has been used most in the first tournaments. I think it requires a lot of of accuracy with the neutral B gun to ensure maximum damage at all times.

Yeah once you actually get your opponent inked up she becomes pretty terrifying it seems. I wish I liked Splatoon more - the designs and especially the music are all so good but the game never seems able to get its hooks fully into me. Plus now it's gated behind the subscription so I'm probably never going to play it again, lol.

Huh? Changing rules is the easiest it's ever been. You can create custom loadouts and quickly pick the one you want.

Uhh, what? There's nothing quick about backing completely out and selecting a different rule set (not to mention having to create an entirely new rule set particularly for minor changes).

I think it's nice that feature exists, but the fact there's no way to change things like stage hazards on the stage select or tweak rules slightly either there or character select is pretty bad. Especially when playing with friends locally, holding B and backing out of menus for 10 seconds just so you can either edit an existing rule set or create a new one from scratch is really slow and cumbersome.

Yeah it could use some more options while on the go and not buried in menus.

I did this one today! Lost eight times in a row and then used a Franklin Badge spirit and won on my first try. Preparation really does make things easier!

Use someone with a dash attack that knocks people back a good distance (I used Mario) and just keep trying to knock them off the side. It'll take a while, but it worked for me.

My strategy for that fight was to just hang out near the sides and try to throw everyone off screen as aggressively as possible. Worked pretty well.

When a challenge got too ridiculous for me I just went for Kirby cheese all day

It helped that I stuck with Kirby for like 90% of WoL, other 10% was Fox and now I'm using Wolf

I cleared classic with every single non-Mii character before touching WoL so I don't feel the urge to switch away from my main man Marth unless I need something specific for a specific battle.

That said, if I did I'd want it to be to Roy (Because the more I reflect on my Classic run with him, the more I'm convinced he's just a better Marth as opposed to a heavier Marth. Also Fire) or a super heavyweight and the only heavyweight I have is DK iirc. Unless Giga Bowser Boss Fight unlocked Bowser and I literally haven't visited the Character Select screen to check that since I beat it

Man so many character in this game are so much fun. I'm loving Simon like I expected, K Rool is great...but man oh man is Mewtwo a blast to play. Going to be very hard to convince myself not to main him. And I still want to learn Peach at some point, but it's going to take a while to get used to her because I need to use a button layout I'm not yet used to to make float stuff easier.

I did the World of Light Giga Bowser fight last night and I'm pretty sure it brought up the screen for Bowser being unlocked

Roy isn't heavier/better Marth (although he might actually BE better this time) so much as aggressive Marth. He's all about going in and wrecking things up close while Marth wants to slow things down a bit and just keep people out with his range all day.

Ive just been playing WoL

Some frustrations aside Im finding it fun. Certainly unlocking different spirits and characters his way is more fun than unlocking everyone in 2 hours.

About 10 hours into it and probably done 50%. Taking my time. Its nice to see so many cool spirits from past Nintendo games. Brings back some memories. Nintendo really did a lot of nice fan service with his game.

Unlocked all the characters! Now I feel like I can host parties. Last one to be unlocked: Bowser Jr. Still going through World of Light though.

Another guy who feels different: Falco. His Shield Kick doesn't stumble the opponent anymore. In fact, it does literally nothing. I used to use it a lot for that purpose so it's kind of a bummer. Otherwise he seems like he's the same? I don't think the last hit of his Up B knocks them back anymore though. But it may have been a fluke, but I think you can act after his Side B, or at the very least use Up B after.
