So apparently were getting themed Spirit Board events in which certain spirits will be more likely to show up and give bonus gold when defeated.

This weeks Super #SmashBrosUltimate Event, Spectacled Spirits, is themed around characters with eyeglasses & sunglasses! Get a variety of characters as well as special Legend-class spirits by taking them on from 12/13, 10pm - 12/16, 10pm. Dont miss these spectacular spirits!

James is the one I've been using the entirety of WoL since I got him, since I'm playing as Wolf and same series Fighter/Spirits get a power boost

Looks like the spirits which i dont want to spend coins on dont rotate out unless you leave the shop for a little while.

Spirits are a collectathon. You use spirits to get spirits. It's spirit mode. That's... just what they're for.

I've been playing Spirits mode nonstop since the game came out, it's easily the best single player experience Smash has ever had. Outside of WoL/the spirit board though yeah there's not much point to collecting them if you're not a completionist. As Bane said above too, WoL is really fucking meaty so it's quite worth it just for that.

Is there a way to save replays?

I would really like to make a collection of all the ways in which Lucario's counter outright kills me for connecting with it.

Its ridiculous.

Usually it happens when I use it as a recovery move. But every now and then I'll do it from ground on the side of the stage and they are landing at just the right angle that I miss the ground and continue on to death.

I don't understand why they "buffed" the speed of the counter but didnt change the recovery time. While at the same time nerfing the mobility on angling extreme speed.

So in all five generations I have never been able to play Link, but in Melee I played Young Link to some success.

He feels so AWESOME in this one. His F-air is LETHAL. And I just faced down a DHD who thought he was about that projectile life. HE WASN'T

I reset one of the rooms before I got to the end so I never had all demons dead at the same time

I was in the final fight and got Galeem dead with Dharkon with a literal pixel of health, but because so much shit was popping off on screen I lost track of where I got blasted to and fell to my death on my last life

He's a ton of fun in Ultimate, great mobility, minimal landing lag on most aerials, arrows recover super fast, so you can just pelt people with endless projectiles and follow up with aerials from quite a ways away. And for some reason his grounded Up B is an actual legit combo starter now, so that's a nice thing to do after you shield something unsafe

Well, I finally got Wolf unlocked, but then it took me three tries to get Palutena, and it's a combo of her ruthelssly powerful AI and that godawful stage.

Though I seem to be hitting this pattern of getting murked the first few times, and then striking back on the third with an absolute thrashing.

Only the rewards like Spirit points and level spheres I believe.

Made me feel better about only playing on Normal since I knew I wouldn't be good enough for Hard

Well if that's it, I probably will drop down to normal. Despite having a good chunk of things done, it feels like I am mostly winning by getting lucky or cheesing.

Jeff fight actually felt pretty manageable with a team level of around 11000. I even technically went in handicapped because I had an Assist Killer, but Jeff doesn't seem like he can be damaged anyway. So a Fire/Explosion Resist might be more useful (also had Franklin Badge). Or maybe Inkling AI isn't good against Squirtle or something. They liked to group and that made it easy to hit 2 or 3 together with Waterfall in the corners of the stage.

I was more worried still about Viridi, because it's a tight time limit. But she suicided on the second attempt so lol.

Caeda was the hardest Spirit battle for me but I was stubborn and stuck as Wolf with no added on items except Wind Immunity and smash attack power up so I made that way more difficult for myself

Palutena was my last unlock, and I got a bit lucky. She fell off the stage (biiiig stage) with both of us over 120%.

I think the character I had the most trouble unlocking was Incineroar. Took me a couple tries. I think Wario was also a slight pain.
