Still tweaking this (just added Zilliax/Prismatic Lens) and it might still need some more earlygame stuff or healing, but it's been beating a bunch of other janky decks so far in rank 4/5. Also beat a taunt druid, which felt good.

Some people seem to have no clue what to do when I drop Meat Wagon, I've had people spend (non-transforming) removal on it just to summon my egg for me.

Question to everyone here: If you had 3,200 dust sitting there on an account you didn't use to ladder on, just solely to play arena, is golden Whizbang a good 'dumb shit I'd never do on my normal account' way to spend it? Outside of finishing quests for gold, I use EU/Asia just to play arena, so while my gold gets used up the dust just sits there. I had 1,800 in one region so I decided to make Mecha'thun, but I've still got about 3,500 sitting there in another one and golden Whizbang looks like the next best use for the dust that Boomsday offers in said dumb shit category.

The only thing holding me back is most of the quests require you to play a certain class or type of card and Whizbang doesn't really lend himself well to finishing those quests.

Having all-golden-cards deck with him has been very entertaining dumb shit so far.

So I got Myra from my free legendary and then from a spectator quest I opened up King Mukla.

Then I went and opened up 42 Boomsday packs. Got Myra's Unstable Element, Zerek, and Boommaster Flark. Overall not super great, but I guess I beat the pity timer.

Control Mage v. Control Warrior

This was my first full game (I had a Druid opponent previously who left the game on turn 3) with this deck after copying the list off of Reddit, so I still don't exactly know the optimal early and mid-game plays, which means I'm positive I misplayed on multiple turns here. I also had no idea what was in my opponent's deck because I left for work right after opening my packs and just got home. In hindsight, I should have known he would've had Dead Man's Hand. I kept playing my spells on empty boards because I figured he wouldn't really have any minions, and I kept struggling with hand space.

I know for sure I played poorly after his Garrosh, but I really wanted to wait until he used up all of his weapon charges to play my second Astromancer. I also walked right into the hero power that cleared my board because I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize it had switched.

I knew after he shuffled in and played the Brawl, my only hope would be to play Alanna and hope he didn't draw the Brawl again.

Crazy game.

I think I'd be a substantially better player if I spent half as much time thinking about deck construction as I do what name to give them. I spent 20 minutes just now trying to figure out what to name my Whizbang deck.

One time I named my Big Spell Mage "Huge" and that was the most creative naming decision I made in the entire time I've been playing this game.

I've currently got such names as "Control" for my Control Mage, and "Mech Murloc" for my Mech Murloc Paladin.

Opened a total of 115 packs. The whizbang craft actually happened around pack 90 because that's when I had enough dust. I was just crossing my fingers hoping I wouldn't open up a regular whizbang before then.

I'm not sure if Mecha'Thun is going to have more success in druid or rogue. Druid is probably more consistent (I'm gonna try and math out on average how many turns I would need to survive before it goes off), but with the right draw you could play unstable element on 6 and you would just need to empty your hand/board over 3 turns.

Orrrr if it's honestly just best played as a fatigue buster to win control vs control matchups :/

I tried a Miracle Rogue-like deck centered around Academic Espionage and the 4-mana weapon. It seems real bad. I figured it couldn't be terrible to shuffle in a bunch of 1-cost spells for Gadgetzan. Turns out turning half your topdecks into garbage doesn't help much.

Will probably craft Dr. Boom and Mecha'thun for future decks. Working on creating the new hotness of Zoo and will be making up a Topsy Turvy OTK Priest at some point soon.

I finally understand the skill level of the average Hearthstone player and all it took was the person I matched up with for the Tavern Brawl actively trying to kill me for the entire game. I got hit in the face with "Deal X damage" effects three times, and barely managed to win.

I don't think I've ever played a co-op brawl with someone and had them not understand what was going on. I've had ones where they/I didn't play great because it's the first time playing and you're going in blind, but I can't say I've ever matched up with someone who just started smacking me in the face.

Ive been testing out a lot of rogue decks. The death rattle one (to my dismay) seems to be the best one early on because theres like no good answer to whats become a busted mechanic due to cube.

Ive also been trying to refine an espionage rogue and I think Im close. Although I mean Its basically miracle with academic espionage tossed in with a lot of draw. Its similar to the list I took to high legend last season and to start this one. It started as a Tess deck but I found I never actually played Tess. Like it runs like basic miracle at first but eventually you draw AE and unstable element and just draw your deck (and summon a bunch of spiders maybe) only to shuffle in 1 cost cards soon after. After that you kind of have to high roll but Ive found some of the insane things you can do When cards cost 1 (in addition to having auctioneer) is great.

Most classes imo have typically good results. The big exception is warrior because they just dont have a lot of good class cards.

The thing is, the game doesn't even allow you to go face with attacks, which should have made it clear to the guy that he shouldn't be attempting to make me lose.

He played 2 North Sea Krakens, and targeted face with both of them. He also had a Corrupted Healbot out but refused to attack into the minions with it to heal me. I was at 8 life and instead of trading it off, he played Shadowstep when it was on 1 health.

Back when I first made my Tess deck, I was keeping track of how often I played her.

Now, I HAVE played her to win. Like, twice. Most of the time, I'm just far ahead and win anyway, or don't have a reason to play her.

What test subject combo is that? Im trying to build a deck around buff priest myself.

Test Subject with Divine Favor and Vivid Nightmare, then use Topsy Turvy on them to get your Divine Spirits, Vivid Nightmares and Topsy Turvy back. Radiant Elementals let you go infinite with the spells and you eventually have enough Divine Spirits to OTK them with a Stonetusk Boar.

You can run Mass Dispel to get through taunts, so the only real thing stopping you from a guaranteed win is the turn timer or mismanaging your board/hand.

I don't trust myself with not screwing it up, so I'm going for a 2TK variety that utilizes Bronze Gatekeeper and Coppertail Imposter. Not as much anxiety, just have to watch out for the board clear.

This is the non-OTK version I'm dicking around with. Right now, it's not pretty.

I tried playing the Topsy Turvy deck earlier and it took me 5 games to assemble and execute the combo (and also not die in one of them). It's super unintuitive until you get practice with it and it clicks. Cool deck though!

Oh man I feel so sorry for my last arena opponent, especially as I got rolled first game so this was a 0-1 deck

Ended up getting Shrieking Shroom popping out a Divine Protector with Sword of Justice in hand. I then threw a Cobalt Scalebane behind the Divine Protector after clearing the board and used a Faceless Manipulator on it next turn.

So opponent was staring at a 10/6 Scalebane, 5/2 Divine Protector and 9/5 Cobalt Scalebane at the start of turn 7. I then used a Shattered Sun cleric to deal 25 damage lethal.

I played Kora on ladder earlier

I DC'ed when I played Soularium but I don't think I would have prevented lethal beforehand
