Yeah, there's a way to gift friends through battle net accounts. I've never done it, but that's how streamers gift the giveaways they have. You guys should probably clarify the bet a bit. Chances are it will be in at least a tier 2 deck at some point within the first month just by people trying the card out, does that count if it no longer is by September 7th


See, I was thinking the first round of Druid nerfs won't hit until around September 7. That Blizz will give it a month to evaluate Druidstone, and then the card might see play afterwards.

Think moving it to October 7 would be a fairer measure?

This is possessed villager only a mech, which is better and it's neutral. I like at this and think would I rather run the mech 1/3, argent squire, firefly, or this? And I like those 3 cards better for various reasons in different decks right now. If you're building a mech deck maybe you can toss this in, but even in those I think you still probably want to run firefly and the 1/3. I think this will pop up but somewhat infrequently after the dust settles.

This is pretty good in elemental decks. The thing is I don't think shaman elemental decks are going to be good. Like right now the deck is worse than Mage elemental lists (and that's not a good deck). I do think this is a pretty good two drop overall. But having 2 health is pretty lame these days. Great in arena though where a 2 mana 1/1 (with discover) saw play.

Microtech Controller

You make a nice wide board for 1 health minions to be defiled. This also matches in poorly to things like a lot of common 1 drops. It's also bad with Prince 2 in zoo. I mean you can say "but I can magnetic these after." You can but only after your opponent took good trades first and now you have to make bad trades into their damaged minions. This is not going to see play. Okay in arena.

The initial stats are just too weak and the effect is too inconsistent. Not even played in arena because you can't even make sure you have two drops for this.

Clearly for like a combo mage or something. Will see play in decks like that. Book of Specters is still better in minion based mage decks. I don't expect combo mage decks to be good, but I do expect this card to be run in those 100% of the time and within those decks be one of the cards that helps it a lot.

A card that's great with spell damage, and awful without it. Like right now Mage does not need this and in like the best case you stuck a spell damage minion (which are stated poorly) and used this. Or played one (which again are stated poorly) and used this. Like by the time that happens you have a ton of removal.

This is a worse faithful Lumi. Even in decks that want to magnetize a 1/1 boost is not meaningful enough when you lose the 1/1 on board.

How many episodes is this going to take to cast? This costs 2 and doesn't so zoo doesn't want this. This leaves other warlocks. Cube/Control probably wants to run shadowbolt for 4 HP removal. This leaves even warlock. Right now they run 6 two drops or so. The 2/4 taunt demon and beetles are probably staples. Which leaves the last two (which are gnomes, doomsayers, or gastropods). I think with doomsayers being cut we might see like 5 two drops and 1 of these in even. This is a great arena card.

This is like that c'thun card that did the same thing. That card did not see a lot of play and I don't expect this one to either. In arena though it's decent but phoenix for 1 more mana is an entire 1/2 more in stats.

This card is not awful but it's like really bad versus any deck that doesn't play minions or just plays small ones and such. In arena where minion based stuff is common this is decent but often times will not get great value.

This will most likely see play as a 1 of in all combo priests. The fact that this can also swap an enemy minions attack and defense is worth noting.

Toxicologist

This is played in one deck and that's kingsbane. It replaces the combo one because even though the stats are worse the deck doesn't really care about that and this is cheaper. Kingsbane lists are pretty inflexible in a lot of areas so I don't see it keeping both. Not a good card in any other deck but strong in that one.

This is a deceptively strong card I think. 1/5 for 2 mana is a lot of stats and it just wants to be magnetized the next turn. Your opponent probably can't remove this and then you can just like make a really strong trade with this.

While I don't think this is good enough to see constructed play I do think in arena this is decent. Poison is a powerful effect even if you just plop this down. The issue is that it's hunter and you often don't have good board position.

This is like thoughtsteal but worse. Deathrattle rogue is not going to be a thing.

This is a strong card that will see play in basically every mech deck.

As anti weapon tech I this is not as good as ooze imo because like some classes (like rogue, paladin, etc) can really use that extra weapon and you're like not getting a minion while destroying a good one. Yes you can combo this with ooze but if you're doing that I think you should just like play a different card. This might pop up from time to time though.

Facing hadronox druid. He had to kill hadronox once for only 2 taunts, lich king and a 4 mana 3/6 guy. Cool. Then he has to play Army of the Dead and it burns a Witching Hour. Sweet!

I've played DK Rexxar and I get the 5 mana echo rush Mukla. He only has a few cards in his deck, and I'm going to have a chance to burn one...the other card in my hand is Deathwing...oh baby, we have a chance right? If it hits the other Witching Hour, we just win, right???

Wrong. On his turn, my Wandering Monster summons the discard demon, he hits it again, and I have no hand now. /concede

Right now a 3 mana 2/4 taunt/divine shield (albeit with a condition) is not played. Is it worth 1 mana for a mech tag and always having those things to be worth it? I think so. But does that make this played? I don't know. 2/4 for 4 is like a really bad spot on the mana curve for this card. Paladin though really wants mechs and this into Wagear is a strong consideration. So while I don't think this card is strong I do think it will see play because of deck synergy.

This is a win more card in arena. Like if you can play this somehow you probably don't need the spell and it's like insurance. The stats are just too low to play in any other situation since you can't even cast the spell in the same turn. So yeah it's a more consistent ethereal conjurer in the case that you almost always get a spell you'd want to use, but the low stats and worse mana cost is too much of a hindrance.

Good for value but overall not a great card in arena. If you see this against like slightly below average cards I'd take this.

I think this is an average card. Like in constructed rogues gameplans don't need this and again decks that could use this are not going to be good. In arena it's like in the best case you drop this and trade into a 3 HP minion with a dagger and a big dude with the poisonous but what's probably going to happen is a larger minion trades favorably with this and then your opponent just kills the 1/1 themselves.

I think this is a very strong card in mech decks. Like it helps against aggro because it summons two divine shield taunts. It's really bad if mossy horror tech becomes more prevalent. But often times think of this as like mech spreading plague. You can probably magnetize something the following turn.

I think this is going to be a real deck and that it might be pretty strong. This will be like the strongest card and face of the deck. Expect to see a lot of these the first couple of days.

I think this card is probably about equal in terms of power in the formats. Like Eggnapper is never played but this is a mech and has that synergy. For 1 more mana you get an extra mech you can potentially wargear. In arena eggnapper is played and is decent.

So like that hogger card is not played. In arena the stats are too low and you'll get like one trigger off of this.

I've been on vacation for the last week-ish so I haven't really thought about Hearthstone other than 15 minutes a day to finish quests, meaning it's been easy to not think about the wait for the expansion.

This is a hard card to judge because of how varied the actual results are going to be. But I think replacing a card in your deck a lot of times when it only costs 1 is pretty good in a lot of cases. It lowers some consistency but I think it really pushes the reach and power rogue has. Still, this probably on sees play in some versions as a 1 of.

So a 7 mana 5/5 is just bad but has better stats than spiteful summoner. But I don't think hand mage is going to be a real deck and lets say you want to use this in like BSM (for a while I ran a spiteful summoner bsm list quite similar to the deck recipe in high legend). Which was good when SS was 6 mana, but 7 is just too much for an effect I consider to be worse in the decks it would go in.

Augmented Elekk

A staple in probably a lot of different rogue decks now. Dropping this into strider or like this into AE could make some powerful future game states. Let's not forget about PogoHopper. Might even see play in like DMH.

I think this is an incredible card. It's good for zoo and warrior in particular. Like in warrior you can use it for battle rage, to get shield slams off, and just for early board presence. In zoo it's a 1/3 that you can use on turn one to help active happy ghoul faster. Expect to see this card a lot.

Okay so like the thing here is malygos druid really doesn't need to play this card to work. So it's really for togwaggle/azalina combo druid imo. Getting even one of those discounted means you can play both cards in the same turn and if you have innervate or biology project always be able to do the entire thing in one go. I think this will be tested in like a full combo set but people will start to cut this because it's a 7 mana 4/4. However, I do think this will pop up as one ofs from time to time.

EMP Operative

This is 100% a tech card. The stats are really bad. Like dragon slayer is at least serviceable. If the meta is like a ton of mechs I don't even know if this sees play. Worth noting, it says mech and not enemy mech. Also, is this the waifu card of the set?

This might sneak in as a one of in like cubelock along with blood bloom. Like after a skull summons doomguard on a turn you cube and pact it. And then you bloodbloom and play this to summon 2 more doomguards. Worth exploring, but I'm not sure if that will be like the prevalent line because it's like does cubelock really need to do that? And in other cases it's not as good. It also means you almost always have to run bloodbloom which is a questionable card imo.

Glowstone Technician

So handbuff paladin never took off. It's hard to say if this is better in arena or constructed. When handbuff was in arena it was incredible there and I expect this to be good there too. I think with rush minons and such this might see fringe play.

So a lot of times this is like on 5 play and egg and this and get a trade and also get a 5/5 at the end of it. I think that the hunters death rattle stuff really makes this not suck. I also think that sometimes if you get a cheaper zombeast with a good DR or even attack type effect this can also help there too. I don't think this is like a powerful card by itself but it's in a class that has a competitive deck that can use it well.

It's a 5 mana 3/3. If you can play this without it getting killed you either probably have won the game or are on your way to being OTKed.

I think that this is an absurdly strong card that's in a class that doesn't really need it that much. This goes in like one deck probably and that's Togwaggle druid. In wild it fetches the entire combo. I think this will be tested in several standard decks too to vary success. I think most people will settle on 1 or 0 copies of it.

So like the mech one this one is like friendly minions. So I mean like the obvious thought is to cheat this out. But all the current minions in all version of DR/recruit style hunter are better than this.

Probably the best omega card in the set. Can act as additional healing for tempo shudderwock decks. Like since it's a battelcry you just play this on 2 as a minion sometimes against aggro and after you get a shudderwock for 1 mana you can just heal with like a damage spell or something. I do think this is much better in like a tournament format and even then it's questionable.

Neither of us were in fatigue. I was topdecking, he had either one or two apparently useless cards in his hand because he never played them over the next couple of turns. Don't remember how many cards were left in our decks. I believe it went like this?

-I attacked him with the Farseer and pinged him to 26, then played the panda and replayed the Farseer.
-He pinged me to three and played nothing.
-I topdecked Bonfire Elemental, no battlecry. Attacked for six and pinged him down to 19.
-He pinged me to two and conceded. He still had another draw left to hit something, not sure why he didn't see it through. Also not sure what was in his hand that none of it was worth playing, I would have had to answer literally any minion he played.

Like standalone I don't think this is a good card because it clutters your board with 0/2s that only have significant impact if they all go off at like the same time imo, but this is a staple card if it is run.

Okay I'm not 100% sure how this actually works. If the minion has 0 attack does it still attack? I mean you want to use this with death rattle stuff. The problem is that a lot of times you want to have those minions stick so you can cube them or in other cases play them from hand (like kat). There was that like card that summons the 7/7 or something when it dies. But this is a costly card with a lot of risk.

This goes into malygos druid probably right away. It'll be interesting how decks start to take out oakens to run this.

I threw Luna's Pocket Galaxy into my already existing Big Spell Mage, matched up against an Even Paladin, almost got killed after I spent a turn playing it and doing nothing else, and proceeded to win the game after drawing Jaina a few turns later.

Shamelessly stolen from Dane, but it was so much fun without a deathrattle trigger in Necrium, that I figured it'd be amazing with it, and so far, I can confirm it, at the very least, leads to hilarity a very high percentage of the time.

Had a game against Control Warlock where I started with the dream hand: Mad Scientist, Necrium Blade, Kobold Illusionist. In the next three turns, I drew a spell, the other Necrium Blade, and the second Illusionist. After Turn 4, I had a 3/3 and 1/1 Illusionist ready to perpetuate itself forever. The next turn, I topdeck Silver Vanguard. I purposefully allow one damage to go onto my 3/3, hoping for the Defile.

He takes the bait, and instead of setting off Infinite Illusionist like he was probably expecting, he is now staring down an 8/5 Lich King and 5/6 Sneed's Shredder.

Counting the free legendaries, I got six in NA and three each in EU and Asia.

I got Zerek and Whizbang in all three regions. Feels like those are some pretty low odds. Also got Myra and Electra in two regions as well.

Edit: Spoke too soon, after getting Whizbang in EU and having two packs left I went ahead and made this post. Next two packs also contained legendaries, Dr Boom and Electra Stormsurge. Pretty sure that's the first time I've had legendaries in three straight packs.

Question to everyone here: If you had 3,200 dust sitting there on an account you didn't use to ladder on, just solely to play arena, is golden Whizbang a good 'dumb shit I'd never do on my normal account' way to spend it? Outside of finishing quests for gold, I use EU/Asia just to play arena, so while my gold gets used up the dust just sits there. I had 1,800 in one region so I decided to make Mecha'thun, but I've still got about 3,500 sitting there in another one and golden Whizbang looks like the next best use for the dust that Boomsday offers in said dumb shit category.

The only thing holding me back is most of the quests require you to play a certain class or type of card and Whizbang doesn't really lend himself well to finishing those quests.
