Spent 80 tickets. Every Yellow Crystal trolled me lol.

Chizuru, Refia, Warrior of Light, Setzer, Crowe, Chloe, King, Glauca, Rosa, Goken, Vanille, Helena, Ilias, Veritas of Earth, and Sozhe.

I did get two Rainbows, Trance Terra, which is new, and Queen, which is a duplicate and future 7* unit for me I guess.

So no Mystea for me... for now. 4* Bases have always been my bane though, never getting the really useful ones until months later. I didn't get Warrior of Light until January, Refia until May, and even just got my first Setzer two weeks ago lol.

Is the current banner really worth pulling on?

I've only done the daily pulls on it and haven't gotten a single banner character from it yet.

I only pulled because I don't have a Magic Tank. I'd like to think I am pretty much covered on all bases, so now I'm going for niche use characters that I can't fill with other characters.

Keep in mind fembots are a welcome in this upcoming raid.... (And a provoker if you can't kill it in 3 turns due to the 9999 attack. Sleep and stone are the only ailments not present in the arsenal. )

No strengths or weakness, all but magic can be broken. Multiple attacks so AoE tank.

Excellent, thanks! I'll probably go with my fast kill raid team of Fry x 2, DV x 2, TT, and a friend unit with any of those 3. All raid bosses have 4,000,000 HP on ELT, don't they?

I shit you not, I have so much luck with Rainbows, but TMRs and 4* bases not even close.

Just pulled Veritas of the Dark today on half pull. Another new 5*, and that's 4 new 5* bases since rates up, and about 7 total since then as well.

Guromu has a good TMR.

The raid units can get thrown straight in the trash.

Roy is a great bard. Slow on the uptake, but pays off if you don't want to slam down his LB.

Grom is TMR fodder.

Aura is decent outside TMR. You rarely see a good kit for chaining, LB and auto-refresh on a gold, BUT if you got rainbow DPS worth a damn you will care about that as much as Chizuru thnese days.

Raid units you really only care about if you got Rem(Ashteroze), or need that Sandee because you just can't get Ilias. (Or lulzquick healing with good mods for the LB on the clown.)

Mystea made it far more manageable along a provoke tank. (And some mirages.)

If you are employing Rikku's TMR you should see it often enough.

Otherwise she will spend her time Tri, die the Kenny-way, defend, or deploy an AoE effect if number 2 doesn't kick in.

ehh... i'm not sure the dagger really benefits Rem that much. but i guess it depends on what TMR you got. i would lose benefits from:

Dark Fina's TMR (+50% MAG w/robe + rod, +20% if just robe)
Rod Mastery (+50% MAG)
the extra 60+ or so MAG rods give
if you lack the former, Veritas of Water's TMR can give you +40% to MAG for a Rod too.

in exchange for that, i free up a DW slot. so i'd need to go +30% x3 to hit +90% and i'd still be with lower MAG.

it's useful but not game changing. it just frees up your rod based TMR for other mages.

If you have the equipment, materia and enhancements there is a nuke in Trance Terra....

DV is good for utility, access to dark resistance (he himself absorbs it) for everyone and chaining with the landeau family.

My Mage gear is really bad unfortunately; I'd be spread way too thin on Fryevia, Ace, and Trance Terra. I can't even get over low 800 Magic on Ace with all my best gear on him.

Cant wait to test out my new Fry build tomorrow on the raid. 623 Atk and 1047 Mag. The Mag is going to end up a lot lower when I drop a machine killer on her, but still, love seeing those numbers on a hybrid.

did enemy arena AI suddenly get better? They seem to be doing a lot less auto attacks and less useless abilities than usual

Not sure, I havent paid attention to what the AI does in months. When I see the opponent go first (about 80% of the time) I just roll my eyes and do something else for 10 seconds until I can hit repeat and end the round.

I got an Ace on the daily 1/2 off. Think I'm okay with him over Roy as the rainbow drop.

Part of me wants Roy, but I've convinced myself Ramza enhancements are coming relatively soon now that the bard floodgates are open, and I think Soleil is good enough to sub in until then. I'd rather save my stash for other things.

Since I have neither Roy nor Ramza, I figure I might as well pull. Soleil is only going to last me so long, and as far as I know both Roy and Ramza are good for MP Refresh as well, which is a sub-class of support I desperately need.

You can do dailies, but don't forget Christmas. (Do note Lunera is among the best mana batteries besides Ace until CG Nichol if you crave big numbers.)

Yeah, I did a 100 pull and got 4 of his moogles. That's a pretty good rate. I think I can probably pull a 3rd Kelsus for this event, hmm.

All raid units can go 6*.

They are only available during this raid and are rewards. (I haven't pulled on the raid gacha yet so I assume those are just mogs, along with mogs and shards(?) for Kelsus.)

Overall they suck, so you pretty much just keep them for their looks and pull from the raid gacha for free stuff. Some do have a particular skill or two, but nothing you use long term without specialization like Kupolkan's heal lb.

Nope.

Roy/Grom/Aura are perms.

Raid units(Kupolkan/Ashteroze/Kelsus/Nyalu/Sandee) are limited.

Roy is for longer battles if you don't launch his maxed out LB asap. 2 turns per song. 7 turns to hit crescendo.
