Yeah I generally just play Cherche whenever she's needed. Her and Valter aren't really flyer team exclusive, though that's my optimal flying team when I use one. (I guess that I tend to split her off so much is more support for keeping Minerva though, for Arena Assault concerns in particular)

Cherche's enemy phase isn't as awful as you'd think though. Her Def + HP are high enough that she can tank a lot of physical stuff even though she's getting doubled by everything. I actually use her to draw lances, axes, and less meaty swords pretty often-- again, not ideal for it, but passable in a lot of situations, in a pinch.

Just keep her far away from mages on the player phase as usually even blues will one round her.

I usually forget about Valter in AA. Despite the fact he's 4*, I haven't found too many scenarios where I think he would be good to bring along.

I actually put the feathers to make Valter 5* and he's definitely one of my most useful units right now.

5* Valter is very useful for me. I run a pretty standard Fury/Renewal/Bonfire build that is pretty effective. With the Brash Assault seal, I think he can benefit a lot from a Desperation/Brash Assault build outside a dedicate flier team

When I do upgrade him, I'm tempted to give him Ignis. 3-charge Ignis is very attractive, and not many units can make good use of it. I have too many Henry's collecting dust.

Valter's got a pretty high base speed so I haven't really given him anything as his default kit is pretty okay. Got Draw Back on B and Reposition on defense, but yeah, beyond that. His default Darting Blow lets him attack twice pretty often regardless. Think Brash Assault is somewhat wasted on a guy with 33 base speed.

Not that Fury's ever bad to have but I only have so many Hinatas.

I've been summoning a lot of red lately so have been more liberal with my hinatas.

I think brash assault can work because fury and his weapon get him into range easily, and he doesn't even need to be on a flying team to help with doubling at that point. It should make him more of a standalone threat with a guaranteed double backed by desperation.

But brash assault is still not high on my upgrade priorities for seals.

I wasn't planning on upgrading Hana, but should I do it since she's a rotating arena bonus character?

If you're doing it just for arena bonus, upgrade Anna instead. Hana is there every six weeks always overlapping with Anna. Armorslayer is a bad weapon, and it is 20k more feathers to change it.

Shes running Brave Sword. I havent been able to give her BS+ and had been contemplating whether to upgrade her since shes one of the best BS users. I wish the Askr trio wasnt so meh.

It's a little past Halloween over here, but I'll gladly accept this late night treat! Absolutely shocked I pulled Sakura first instead of getting blocked by Jakob(Or one of the many crappy colorless 5*s), and I FINALLY FOUND LYN! I can finally run Lyn Emblem!

(Bad Ivs on both of them [+Spd, -Att] [+Res, - Spd] but fuck it!)

Hell yeah another Takumi off the freebie. Time to make a close counter tank mage of some sort. I'm kinda partial to Robin for it but she's probably not the best pick.

Katarina is one of the last units that I really, really want. I got her on the free roll as a +Atk. Then I went to the other banner and got Soren on the free roll. When combined with the random Deirdre, random Hector, random Brave Ike, and not-so-random Halloween Sakura that I got recently, I feel like this is by far my luckiest period in FEH.

I pulled from the flier banner and got 5* Lukas. Free summon from the new banner is Hinoka. That's one way to do it

Want Hinoka and Amelia but not the orbs to do that. Another Draug that I dont need from gents banner... I dont even know if ill even have 100 orbs by months end to spend on Halloween banner.

Last VG didnt feel that long ago, but it was actually almost a month ago.

i think i spent almost 300 orbs last month even though i only had 20-something before it started. pretty sure i can spend every last orb on Ayra's banner and still get over 100 before November ends.

Heavily considering sacking my -Atk Hector to give Distant Counter to Arden. He'd essentially become an unstoppable wall against everything except Reinhardt.

Neat, I got a neutral Halloween Henry. Now maybe I can do those monthly armor quests! I just have to figure out how to build him. I'm thinking Gronnblade would work well with armor buffs, but I've heard that Gronnowl works well on him too. And I think I might be willing to sacrifice my Takumi to give him Close Counter, because my poor -Att Takumi has barely left the bench since launch.

Like a month ago I had so many feathers I didn't know what to do with them and I wasted them on stupid shit, now I have a bunch of projects I actually want to work on but I have no feathers. My 40+10 Laslow is going to have to wait...

at least it wasn't the 1-in-a-million type of bad luck that results in no focus units after 1000+ orbs spent

Got up to 4.75% for Ayra before seeing a 4 Colorless Orbs and a Blue and being broken by Klein.

I think either raven or blade tome would work well with Henry. Gronnowl seems underwhelming to me. I'm not sure about close counter. I feel like it is better suited for Jakob's statline. Fury and Triangle Adept may be better for him.

Looks like I'll barely be clearing 50k this Tempest Trials. Just didn't make the time to autobattle enough. Lot of lost orbs there, oh well!

Got rank 9571. That was such a grindfest for 2k more feathers, but i was able to grind a lot of HM in the process. I still needed to devote a lot of time to it because i had Arvis on team B that i used to manually clear each time. I noticed my rank was dropping quite rapidly during the last hour and had to get a few more runs in to secure my spot.

I also managed to get top 10k. Pretty useful for grinding HM. I've got a few more at 3k now

Managed to get top 5000 in Karel despite having about 600 unspent flags. Cool. Shame Karel lost though.

Based on the non-multiplier adjusted votes Shanna was the second least popular person in the gauntlet (ahead of only Karel, who is one of the few FE characters I actively despise in his FE7 appearance), but multipliers make anything possible. Soren > Ryoma was also an upset.

I feel like Karel was hurt slightly by being a 5* most people probably don't have.

Not hurt enough to matter much but probably more popular than Shanna.

Got up to 4%, was combo broken by Catgirl Sakura (-SPD/+HP) on a no green set. Did the full set and got Olwen (crummy -SPD/+RES) as well. Beats getting a 5* healer or Jakob-- don't really care about Olwen as she seems kinda like a worse Reinhardt-- much worse since those values kinda nulled her one gimmick she has over him which is SPD. Wish you could give Dire Thunder to non horse scum.

May steal KP's schtick and give Sakura's dagger to Felicia. Dunno. Almost certainly gonna give it to someone because her stats were bad but not sure who. Just giving it to Matthew might be funny. Give him Vantage and let him just laugh off his crappy RES by just one shotting mages who would dare attack him but I like my defensive build.

Kinda disappointing in any case. Will not be drawing anymore unless the rest of the month has weak banners.

What's your Matthew's speed?

I wouldn't recommend giving it to Felicia unless you're willing to invest a bunch of other skills into her (and you have a favorable IV like +Spd). She's a unit that needs a lot of work.

I'm up to +9 merges now though and it's made a lot of Arena matches easymode. Summoner Support + Distant Def 3 Seal + Fury 3 + Sakura Dagger means she craps over any ranged unit. About half my matches are immediately won by putting her on a defense tile and watching the Rein, BowLyn, and even the Gronnraven people run in and suicide.

It's the gimmick teams that end up getting me. One of my recent streak attempts was ended by a team with 3 Faes that I simply did not have the team comp to deal with. I think I actually outright lost that one.
