They're all really close for me design-wise, but I guess I like Grass the most -- even though Totodile is probably my favorite starter overall. Although basically all third evolutions are awful, Torchic is by far the ugliest.

That's what you said and that's fundamentally absurd. Again, it's not simply being against digital vigilantism and pointless, destructive, holier than thou behavior. Saying that implies that we need to focus on getting people to stop calling out other people on Twitter rather than focusing on things that "rival" digital vigilantism. I said that that specific claim is a right wing one. I didn't say anything about empathy or even that digital vigilantism is good. No - I said it was the worst thing to happen to culture and discourse. I could've omitted the society part - because some of your examples do rival it in those regards. I do think that constant surveillance of others and living in constant fear over every single thing you say or do within sight of another human is as bad as the anti-science rhetoric.
I just think you're ridiculous to assign a right wing lean to being anti-digital vigilantism -- or suggest that conservatives are the ones pushing the narrative. As I said - it has to do with a strong belief in rehabilitation, education, empathy, etc. and is more a liberal belief than conservative. Conservatives mostly just care about digital vigilantism when it's affecting their famous ideologues. I care about it in all contexts.
I've seen videos of people being recorded without consent who had clear signs of drug abuse, mental health issues, homelessness, etc. It's one step up from Bum Fights. It's Bum Fights with a self important desire to prove you're morally superior - which is honestly kind of worse in a way.

I love when the right wing supported rehabilitation all those years! Such a strong, essential pillar of their ideologies. -_-

I'm only comparing the relative damage the different things have done, not accusing you of believing those things. That said, most people still say what they want, do what they want, vote for who they want, with or without this digital vigilantism. It affects and is carried about by a tiny subset of very online people. It is absolutely not the most fucked up thing to happen in decades. It's not in the top one trillion things.

Forever wars, growing economic inequality, environmental degradation, the death of investigative journalism, the decline of unions, a pandemic, economic collapses, genocides, regulatory capture, hypermobile capital, the atomization of society and culture, online echo chambers, etc are all each a thousand times worse than digital vigilantism. To call that the worst thing that's happened in decades is straight up bonkers and it's a narrative that's been pushed on you by the right, whether you've adopted other right wing attitudes or not.

How the fuck is an attitude of empathy, forgiveness, and education a "narrative pushed by the right"? Seriously fuck off accusing that belief as being inherently right wing.
It's what should actually be considered left, in a just world. You're a huge part of the problem if you don't realize that.

I'd call the assassination of truth, science, and neutral factual information by right wing media and thinktanks to be a far worse thing that happened to the discourse over the last 20 years. That's warped the existence of climate change into a culture war issue which has potential to kill the planet (for humans at least) and has helped bolster the current anti-vax, anti-mask, anti-science movement that's killing people in the midst of a global pandemic right now.
